Bring Me the Horizon have established themselves as one of the most enduring metalcore groups to come out of Sheffield, UK with their brooding mix of deathcore rock and dabbling in other styles such as electronica and classical.
The band formed in 2004 when lead singer and principal songwriter Oliver Sykes was only 16 some of the group’s members were even younger. The average age of the band during their formation was 15. Apart from Sykes the rest of the band included guitarists Lee Malia and Curtis Ward, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls. The line up has not changed much since. “I Killed the Prom Queen” guitarist Jona Weinhofen replaced Curtis Ward in 2009, but eventually left in 2013 and keyboardist Jordan Fish completed the current line up in 2012.
Despite the groups young age the members of the band were already musically experienced. Lee Malia who had a keen interest in melodic death metal was in a Metallica tribute band prior to joining Bring Me the Horizon and Matt Kean had been in several local bands before entering the group. All the members were rooted in metal and hard rock, but it was Matt Nicholls and Oliver Sykes who really pushed the band in the hardcore punk and death metal direction. Before they formed Bring Me the Horizon Nicholls and Sykes would frequent American hardcore shows featuring such bands as southern metalcore act Norma Jean and New York’s Skycamefalling.
Oliver Skyes also wrote and recorded material before forming Bring Me the Horizon. Skyes spent a good portion of his childhood between Adelaide and Perth, but moved back to the UK when he was eight. Skyes was enrolled at the same school as Arctic Monkeys band members Alex Turner, Andy Nicholson and Matt Helders, though he was a year below them. During his attendance their in 2003 Sykes put together a CD compilation under the name Quakebeat. He also found interest in rap and formed a hip-hop group called “Womb 2 Da Tomb” with his brother and now fellow bandmate Nicholls. Sykes went on to pursue his true passion, forming the metal group “Purple Curto” with his school mate. While attending a concert of one of his favorite bands Funeral for a Friend he was granted the incredible opportunity to sing one of their songs on stage. Sykes recalls this as the best day of his life and just a little after this experience he formed Bring Me the Horizon.
The group released its first EP “This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For” on 2 October 2004 and was signed to UK label Thirty Days of Night Records for a four album record deal. The album was reissued in 2005 and made all the way to #41 on the UK album charts. The band went on to release their 2006 debut album Count Your Blessings. Though the album received mixed reaction from the general public and critics, the band was able to gain some praiseworthy traction, being endowed at the 2006 Kerrang! Awards ceremony as being the Best British Newcomers and opening up for The Red Chord on their UK dates. Bring Me the Horizon saw themselves touring more and more, though they received many of their early gigs through scheming against unassuming concert promoters.
The early iteration of Bring Me the Horizon was rough and unruly. The band would constantly consume alcohol and lose focus in their recording sessions. Their reputation seemed to exceed them on several accounts. When opening for Kill Switch Engaged on a European tour they were met by disgruntled fans who threw bottles at them before they even started playing and during the recording of their second album “Suicide Season” producer Fredrik Nordstrom was often absent from the sessions because of his negative premonitions of the band. However the group showed incredible potential with their sophomore release and delved into a much more focused sound. This release is attributed with introducing several varying stylistic changes opting for a more straightforward metalcore sound and incorporating elements of drum and bass, dubstep and industrial music.
The band continued to experiment with a more pop oriented sound for their preceding records and made a major breakthrough with their third LP “There Is a Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret”. This album appeared number 1 on the Australian Albums Chart, Number 13 on the UK Rock Chart and number 17 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The band left Epitaph records and put out their fourth album “Sempiternal” on RCA in 2013. This album also did exceptionally well on the UK, US and Australia album charts and saw the band playing alongside notable acts such as Rise Against and Bullet for My Valentine.

The heart of Budapest Park is our Main Stage.
Being Europe's biggest open-air entertainment centre, we are open all summer waiting for you with the largest LED screens, light and sound systems.
The Main Stage can welcome more than 10 000 people, and transforms into a Dancefloor right after the concerts end so you can enjoy the latest DJ sets that compliment the current mood of the night right until the sun comes up.
Take your seat among the masters and take it to the next level: to the Terasz above everyone else.
Also take your credit card with you, ask for your drinks at the bar, feet on the table, and hands in the air, like you don't care. The view is spectacular, the stage, the crowd, and the lights will take your breath away. Private bathrooms and no getting in line is only natural, but it's not the point: The point is that you come through the backdoor, see a whole new face of the party, and loose yourself, finally.
The King Skybox is built on the top of Budapest Park, comes with AC and a fantastic view for the stage. It can welcome 30 people easily.
It has its own bathrooms and a private terrace with couches, soft drinks, sparkling water and a barrel of (40 pitchers) Heineken and some snacks (scones /pogácsa/, sandwiches, fruits). Your tickets will be replaced by wristbands at the main desk, with those you can visit the main stage, and the middle section of Mastercard Terrace anytime. You can order food and drink packages in advance, so there is literally nothing in the way of your partying exclusively in your style. Arrive through the main entrance or through the VIP entrance on the left, and enjoy what the night brings.

The Evolution Of Bring Me The Horizon’s Tours
Bring Me The Horizon, the UK metalcore juggernauts, haven’t just crafted a sonic evolution through their albums; their live shows have mirrored their musical journey, morphing from chaotic mosh pits to theatrical spectacles, always pushing the boundaries of what a rock concert can be. Let’s buckle up and mosh through the years, reliving the defining moments of BMTH’s touring history:
Early Days: Sweat, Mosh, and Singalongs (2004-2009)
From basements to arenas: Starting in Sheffield pubs, BMTH quickly built a reputation for raw energy and brutal intensity. Early gigs were about building community, with Oli Sykes inciting mosh pits and screaming alongside fans. Tracks like “Chelsea Smile” and “Pray For Plagues” were anthems in the making, sung with raw passion in sweat-drenched venues.
Arena Anthems Solidify Metalcore Reign (2012-2014)
Tracks like “Run” and “Can You Feel My Heart” morphed into thunderous arena-wide singalongs during this era, cementing Bring Me The Horizon as dominating metalcore giants commanding the stage at major venues and festivals.
The World Stage Beckons (2014-2016)
Bring Me The Horizon expanded its domination worldwide, headlining festivals across the globe and selling out arenas everywhere from Europe to Australia. Their shows became grand, theatrical productions during this period, with Oli donning outlandish costumes and the stage transforming into dystopian landscapes. Anthemic tracks like “Drown” and “Throne” were bellowed in unison by thousands of unified voices.
Experimentation and Introspection (2017-2020)
With experimental albums like “Amo” and “That’s The Spirit”, BMTH embraced electronica and boundary-pushing sounds. Their live shows reflected this musical shift, incorporating DJ sets, atmospheric moods, and guest appearances. Crowds embraced the band’s new sound direction, dancing and headbanging along to songs like “Happy Song” and “Medicine.”
The Next Chapter: NX_GN WRLD (2024 and beyond)
The album “POSTHUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR” by BMTH ushers in a new era by fusing metalcore and electronic components. With dystopian imagery and narrative interwoven with aural mayhem, the 2024 “NX_GN WRLD” tour is billed as a genre-bending audiovisual spectacular. The futuristic, reality-blurring mosh pit trip is hinted at by new tunes like “Parasite Eve” and “Teardrops”

Bring Me The Horizon
The brash rockers with a pull on the gate from Sheffield, England, will return to the Czech Republic after a year, when they put on an unbeatable show at the Fortuna Sports Hall in Prague at the beginning of 2023. It was this that contributed to their huge local popularity, which is still rocketing. The audience’s favourite is the band’s charismatic frontman Oliver Sykes, whose croaky, expressive voice encourages togetherness in times of anguish and sorrow. He sends a clear message to the fans that no one is alone! Unbridled energy, rebellion and controversy – that’s Bring Me The Horizon. That the guys in the band aren’t afraid of this is proven, for example, by their live performance at the 2016 NME Awards, when during the song “Happy Song” frontman Oli demolished the Coldplay table he climbed on.
Bring Me The Horizon, whose name comes from a catchphrase in Pirates of the Caribbean, got together in 2004 and have been on a roll ever since. They have sold over 5 million albums and have legions of fans around the world. Their last two albums “Post Human: Survival Horror” and “amo” debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart, 2015’s “That’s The Spirit” debuted at #2 and 2013’s “Sempiternal” debuted at #3 on the same chart. Aggressive melancholics who disregard tradition along the way, they oscillate between deathcore to electro metal, here with elements of pop, heavy rock, punk, numetal and of course their creeping emo style can’t be denied. With their work they honestly work on dismantling the old emptied world, trying to hasten its end with soundscapes, massive guitar walls that overwhelm you like a tsunami. The lyrics tear deep, and the melodic vocal refrains that the musicians can write fight their way forward with ease. Oliver Sykes and Jordan Fish are the main songwriters. The sound is powerful to the point of bombast, backed by keyboards and multiplied guitars, a testament to BMTH’s multi-genre span, with inspirations ranging from Linkin Park to Justin Bieber. They have collaborated with stars such as Ed Sheeran, Machine Gun Kelly, Yungblud and Sigrid.
