Eros Ramazzotti releases a new album after four years and embarks on a world tour. In March 2023, Czech fans will also be present

BATTITO INFINITO is his new album available from 16 SEPTEMBER 2022 on Capitol Records Italy under license from Vertigo/Eventim Live International, available for pre-order from tomorrow, at the same time as the release, on all digital platforms and radio, of the first single from the album, AMA, a manifesto of the renewed artistic identity of the record-breaking singer-songwriter, who in over 35 years of his career has sold 70 million records and garnered over 2 billion streams worldwide.

BATTITO INFINITO is an international project that combines the record release with the new world tour. After revealing the dates of the WORLD TOUR PREMIERE, EROS is announcing today the BATTITO INFINITO WORLD TOUR, produced by Radiorama, RAMAZZOTTI’s legacy company managed by Gaetano Puglisi, and organized by Vertigo, a company of the CTS Eventim international group. A majestic live adventure which, from September 2022 to May 2023, will bring EROS to some of the most important cities across the world, to celebrate the musical journey of the new record live for the first time together with his legion of fans.

On June 10, the first piece of the musical chapter entitled BATTITO INFINITO is arriving: the single AMA, which marks the return of one of the most internationally beloved Italian artists. A message of universal love, a hymn to freedom, an invitation to love as you will, without limits, boundaries or barriers, and to celebrate this feeling in all its forms and facets. EROS RAMAZZOTTI himself was deeply involved with every little detail and every step of the production, for a song that is already a hit, ready to be sung along to.

After the legs in North and South America, “Battito Infinito World Tour” is ready to come back to Europe – with a bunch of new shows already announced for July and August

Eros Ramazzotti is not new to long international treks, but this time he is thinking big . After the show of yesterday night in Caracas, Venezuela, his “Battito Infinito World Tour” completed its legs in North and South America and is ready to get back to Europe. The European leg will stretch until spring and beyond, as 15 new dates were just announced for next summer .

These new shows add up to the ones previously scheduled for a whopping total of over 80 dates. The setlist includes 25 songs celebrating 35 years of career of Eros Ramazzotti – from his debut to his latest effort, Battito Infinito – for two hours of concert.

Eros Ramazzotti’s world tour is produced by Radiorama and organized by Vertigo (CTS Eventim). It started with a “ World Tour Première ” (with nine shows in spectacular venues) and went on to North and South America.

Eros Ramazzotti on US stages for its Battito Infinito Tour

“I chose Los Angeles because it feels like I am picking up right where I left off!”

International artist Eros Ramazzotti opened his North American Battito Infinito World Tour in the City of Angels on October 30.

Back in 2020, the Southern Californian city was, in fact, the only date of his tour, which was canceled because of Covid-19. “For this reason, performing here was particularly exciting, ” the pop singer said. Ramazzotti is, unquestionably, one of the most successful Italian artists in the world, with songs that not only made the history of Italian music but led him to sell 70 million records globally, gather 2 billion streams and have almost 2 billion views on YouTube.

Eros’ last original album, Vita ce n’è, dated back to 2018 and was followed by a colossal tour of more than 90 shows in 32 countries. Four years later, the internationally acclaimed Italian singer-songwriter has returned with a tour of more than 70 shows around the world. After Los Angeles, the tour touched Houston (November 2) and will be in Miami (November 5), and New York City (November 10).

On stage Ramazzotti, who was born and raised in Rome, performed the hits that made him famous and with which he won millions of fans. This is not the first time

the Italian pop singer, musician and songwriter toured the United States during his 35-years-long career.

Eros, your connection with US fans began a long time ago, in the late 1990s. What memories do you have of your early performances, such as the one in 1998 at Radio City Music Hall for the tour of your ninth album, Eros ?

I have many memories related to all the concerts played at Radio City Music Hall, but the one that inevitably comes to mind is the one in 1991 when, despite having a broken leg, I performed, and I was the first Italian to do so in that theater. It was one of the most exciting evenings of my life. In general, I think the USA is an incredible country, a small world ready to welcome anyone. Every time, it is wonderful to know your audience is so diverse, that it comes from so many different cultures but that, on the night of the concert, everyone chooses to be there to hear your music and what you have to say.

What memories do you have of your collaboration with American artist Tina Turner for Cose della Vita /Things of Life?

Collaborating with Tina Turner was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. The crazy thing is that she was the one who sought me out. I could hardly believe it, it seemed impossible that a legendary artist like her would seek me out to sing together, I am very honored for that. My duets are always sincere and heartfelt: every time, I look for that special connection with the artist I work with, and I believe my collaboration with Tina remains one of the most successful precisely because we found each other so much on a human level.

There are twelve songs in Battito Infinito . What’s been your main inspiration for the album?

Mainly love and its impact on the world, I think. I wanted to tell how love comes in infinite forms and I did it by experimenting with different sounds, from Latino music to more retro vibes, which have been trending again lately, even among younger listeners.

There are also two collaborations, one with Jovanotti and one with a lifelong friend, Alejandro Sanz. Can you tell us how they both came about?

Making Soy with Alejandro Sanz was fun and challenging, and it’s great to see the public embracing the song with the same enthusiasm! Alejandro and I had the opportunity to collaborate before, and when I contacted him to work together on this track, I immediately sensed his great enthusiasm.

With Figli della Terra, thanks to the support of a great friend and artist like Lorenzo Jovanotti, I wanted to convey a concept that for me is fundamental and, I believe, very current: this is the only planet we have and, today, it needs care and protection as never before. Even in our daily lives, we can take important and meaningful steps to protect it.

Which song best represents the artistic and personal phase you are going through now and why?

I think Ama is the single that best represents how I feel: it is an invitation to love as you want to, without limits, boundaries or barriers. It’s about looking at the world with new eyes, even in complex times like today’s, when hatred and resentment are all too present. Surround yourself with love, because loving is beautiful!

Being of your generation, I found myself very much in Gli Ultimi Romantici . What, in your opinion, made “ questi tempi aridi ,” these times so barren?

I think the difficult period that has just passed and, unfortunately, is not completely over, greatly affected our relationships, our bonds. From these terrible times, we learned that what matters are human relationships and how we spend our time. The freedom we enjoyed and felt before will probably never fully return, but we changed, we evolved and we are now adapting to a new way of life, a new way of relating to each other.

The set design will be very high-tech: why this choice?

For this comeback of mine, I wanted to go big, to surprise my audience with a high-tech stage, although the focus of the whole show remains the music, with a spotlight also on the special team that follows me in every live show, from the musicians to the backup singers, all the way to the B attito Infinito World Tour’s production team.

During past tours of the US, have you had a chance to carve out time to be a tourist, and if so, what do you enjoy doing and what is the place you are most attached to?

Unfortunately, the downside of being in such a wonderful profession is the tight schedule I have to keep to get to different locations around the world. This means I can’t be as much of a tourist as I would like. However, I am fascinated by how diverse and cosmopolitan New York is: it is truly a one-of-a-kind city, full of life, full of stimuli, a city that never seems to stop and that gives me a lot of energy each time. I love the skyline, the lights and colors of Central Park, of the city itself: it’s magical.

So many Italian artists chose Los Angeles as their base, is that something you’ve ever considered?

To be honest no: I think in Italy I have everything I need and, above all, I would not be able to give up my family. I try to spend as much time as possible with my children, whenever I can: the distance for me would be really too much!

La metropoli del Sud della California è infatti stata l’unica data dell’ultimo tour del 2020 saltata a causa del Covid. “Questa cosa mi emoziona particolarmente” ha affermato il cantante le cui canzoni hanno segnato la storia della musica leggera italiana e sono state ascoltate in tutto il mondo con 70 milioni di dischi venduti, 2 miliardi di ascolti online e quasi 2 miliardi di visualizzazioni su YouTube. Il penultimo album di inediti di Eros, “Vita ce n’è” che risale al 2018, fu seguito da un colossale tour di oltre 90 spettacoli in 32 Paesi del mondo, con il “Vita Ce N’è World Tour”.  

A quattro anni di distanza, l’artista italiano di fama internazionale è tornato a esibirsi in 10 concerti su diversi palcoscenici con una tournée di oltre 70 spettacoli in tutto il mondo. Oltre a Los Angeles, il tour ha fatto tappa a Houston il 2 novembre; poi sarà il 5 novembre a Miami e il 10 novembre a New York. Ramazzotti, nato e cresciuto a Roma, ha eseguito molti brani di successi che lo hanno reso famoso e con i quali ha conquistato milioni di fan in tutto il mondo. Non è la prima volta che il cantante, musicista e cantautore pop italiano si esibisce in tour negli Stati Uniti nei suoi 35 anni di carriera.

Eros, il legame con il pubblico statunitense è iniziato molto tempo fa, a fine anni ’90. Che ricordo ha delle prime esibizioni, come quella del ’98 al Radio City Music Hall per la tournée del nono album “Eros”?

Ho tanti ricordi legati a tutti i concerti suonati al Radio City Music Hall, quello che inevitabilmente mi viene in mente è legato al 1991 quando, nonostante la gamba rotta per un incidente, sono stato il primo italiano ad esibirsi in quel teatro: è stata una delle serate più emozionanti della mia vita. In generale, credo che gli Usa siano un Paese incredibile, un piccolo mondo pronto ad accogliere chiunque. È stupendo sapere che ogni volta il pubblico sia così vario, proveniente da così tante culture differenti, eppure la sera del concerto tutti scelgano di essere lì per ascoltare la mia musica e quello che ho da dire.

Che ricordo ha della collaborazione con l’artista americana Tina Turner per Cose della Vita/Things of Life?

La collaborazione con Tina Turner è stata una delle esperienze più belle della mia vita. La cosa assurda è che è stata lei a cercare me. A stento ci credevo, mi sembrava incredibile che un mostro sacro come lei mi cercasse per cantare insieme, sono molto onorato per questo. I miei duetti sono sempre sinceri e di cuore, ogni volta cerco un’intesa con l’artista con cui collaboro e penso che la nostra collaborazione sia fra le più riuscite, proprio perché ci siamo trovati moltissimo a livello umano.

Battito Infinito è composto da dodici canzoni. A cosa si è ispirato per questo album?

Penso che l’amore e il suo impatto sul mondo abbiano ispirato principalmente il mio lavoro: ho voluto raccontare come l’amore si presenti in infinite forme e l’ho fatto sperimentando e spaziando fra diverse sonorità, da quelle latine a quelle dal gusto retrò che ultimamente stanno tornando in voga, anche tra gli ascoltatori più giovani.

Ci sono anche due collaborazioni, una con Jovanotti e una con l’amico di sempre Alejandro Sanz. Può raccontarci come sono nate?

Realizzare “Soy” con Alejandro Sanz è stato divertente e stimolante, è bello vedere che il pubblico stia accogliendo il brano con lo stesso entusiasmo! Io e lui abbiamo già avuto modo di collaborare in passato, e quando l’ho contattato per proporgli di lavorare insieme a questo brano ho percepito da subito il suo grande entusiasmo.

Con “Figli della Terra”, grazie al supporto di un grande amico e artista come Lorenzo Jovanotti, ho voluto trasmettere un concetto per me fondamentale e credo molto attuale: ricordarsi che questo è l’unico pianeta che abbiamo e mai come adesso ha bisogno di cure e attenzioni, anche nella nostra quotidianità possiamo compiere gesti importanti e significativi per tutelarlo.

Quale canzone rappresenta meglio la fase artistica e personale che sta vivendo ora e perché?

Penso che “Ama” sia il singolo che rappresenta al meglio come mi sento: è un invito ad amare come si vuole, senza limiti, confini o barriere, cercando di vedere il mondo con occhi nuovi in un momento complesso e in un periodo in cui odio e rancore sono troppo presenti. Circondatevi d’amore, perché amare è bello!

Appartenendo alla sua generazione, mi sono ritrovata molto ne Gli Ultimi Romantici. Cosa, dal suo punto di vista, ha reso “questi tempi aridi”?

Credo che il periodo difficile appena trascorso e sfortunatamente non del tutto finito abbia influenzato molto le nostre relazioni, i nostri legami. Da questa terribile storia abbiamo imparato che ciò conta sono le relazioni umane e come impieghiamo il nostro tempo, anche se purtroppo quella libertà che sentivamo prima, non ritornerà mai completamente, siamo cambiati, ci siamo evoluti e ci stiamo adattando ad un nuovo stile di vita, ad un nuovo modo di relazionarci con l’altro.

La scenografia dei concerti sarà molto high-tech, come mai questa scelta?

Per questo mio ritorno ho voluto fare le cose in grande, sorprendere il mio pubblico con un palco altamente tecnologico, nonostante il fulcro di tutto lo show rimanga la musica, con i riflettori puntati anche sulla speciale squadra che mi segue in ogni live, dai musicisti ai coristi alla produzione di Battito Infinito World Tour.

Durante i passati tour negli Usa, ha avuto modo di ritagliarsi del tempo per fare il turista, e se sì, cosa le piace fare e qual è il luogo a cui è più legato?

Purtroppo il rovescio della medaglia dello svolgere una professione così meravigliosa sono i tempi serratissimi che devo rispettare per raggiungere le diverse location sparse per il mondo, cosa che non mi permettedi fare il turista come vorrei. Sono però affascinato dalla poliedricità e dal cosmopolitismo di New York, è davvero una città unica nel suo genere, piena di vita, di stimoli, una città che sembra non fermarsi mai e che ogni volta mi dà molta energia. Amo lo skyline, le luci e i colori di Central Park, della città stessa, è magica.

Moltissimi artisti italiani hanno scelto come base Los Angeles, è una cosa che ha mai considerato?

Ad essere sincero no: in Italia penso di avere tutto quello di cui ho bisogno e soprattutto non riuscirei a rinunciare alla mia famiglia. Quando riesco, cerco di passare quanto più tempo possibile coi miei figli, la lontananza per me sarebbe davvero troppa!
