Would you take your two year old o this dune ride?! I know the website says it's allowed, but is it a good idea? :)
If you sit towards the front it's less hilly. But keep in mind it's still a bumpy ride. Probably holding them in your lap with the seatbelt across would be best. But the drivers are all wonderful and will advise you on best seating. Definitely go!

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend especially if you have children who love adventure and rollercoasters!! This ride did NOT disappoint!!! It lasted about 45 minutes with a couple stops along the way!! Fast driving through the sand dunes and a slower spot for wildlife sitings! Thanks to "Frosty" for his amazing tour guide capabilities and keeping us all entertained for a very impressive ride!!! We will most definitely be back and will hopefully ride with FROSTY again!! & Don't forget to TIP your driver!

Always an amazing time! Today was probably our 6th year in a row going on the Dune Ride. It is informative and fun with beautiful views. All the drivers we have had have been wonderful. You have a 10 minute break on top of the dunes where you can explore and take pictures. It is great fun for all ages. This is always a highlight of our summer visits.
View from the top!
Highly recommend, took my children 3 and 6. It's comical, educational and thrilling. What more could you ask for?
Lake Michigan
Frosty was worth the price of admission alone! Great storytelling and obviously a good driver as some of those turns and hills...gulp!! If you're planning on going or just happen to be near Holland, Mi go!!!
So much fun! Definitely a must and Worth it if your in the area or passing through. I can't remember our drivers name but he was so personable and a great guide. Interactive and fun!

Perfect for our family vacation, the ten year old and the two year old had a blast!! It wasn't too scary and it definitely wasn't boring.
They do a great job!! I've lived nearby and never really thought about doing it. But they were amazing! So fun and our tour guide, Frosty, was hilarious.
Our driver, Nate, was fantastic. So funny and friendly. He got to know all of the kids' names in the car and worked them all into the jokes. The ride was very smooth and the views were beautiful. Everyone in our group, from our 2 year old to our 64 year old grandma had a great time.
It was okay. Our person that drove the car was super friendly and nice. I think it only cost $25.00. Not sure on that but I wouldn't do it again and wouldn't pay much more than that. Great to see Northern Michigan once you're at the top of the mountain area.

A gastronomic tour of the Costa de la Luz
This elemental land of “vivid, piercing” light has wonderful hiking and "gastronomic riches"
- Newsletter sign up Newsletter
Spain's Costa de la Luz, or Coast of Light, sweeps in a great arc from the Straits of Gibraltar up to the Portuguese border. It is an elemental land of "vivid, piercing" light, as its name suggests, but also "endless" dunes, "Wild West" horizons, and often relentless sea winds, says Lydia Bell in Condé Nast Traveller.
Inland, Moorish pueblos blancos "dust the hills like icing sugar", and vast wetlands, forested mountains and pristine river estuaries are protected in a series of glorious national parks. The hiking on offer is wonderful – and so too are the food and drink, from earthy meals prepared in village kitchens to Michelin-starred restaurants, all rooted in the region's distinctive produce.
There are gastronomic riches enough in the 60 miles between Cádiz and Tarifa, at Spain's southern tip – and among the best guides to them is the chef José Pizarro. Known in the UK for his seven restaurants and frequent appearances on the BBC's "Saturday Kitchen", Pizarro welcomes guests for three-night stays at his house, Iris Zahara, a "glassy modernist" villa perched on a sea cliff with fabulous views of the mountains of Morocco and the lights of Tangier, twinkling across the straits at night. There's cooking, as well as vineyard visits and a trip to the covered market in Barbate, for ingredients including bluefin tuna, harvested using the almadraba method – a system of nets developed by the Phoenicians three millennia ago.

At Bodega Sancha Pérez, there are organic olives and wines (notably "sweet, tanniny" Tintilla de Rota) to sample, and, at Bodega Manuel Aragón, sherries ranging from "bone-dry to treacle-sweet". A hike around the peaks of Los Alcornocales with the "chatty" guide John Carlos Milburn Rodríguez takes you to the Antigua Venta de Ojén, a village house in whose "cosy" garden Luisa Martínez Ríos serves excellent rustic meals by special request. And back on the coast, there are other great restaurants to try, including the three-Michelin-starred Aponiente, and Casa Bigote, a "traditional gem".

How TOUR rookie Jimmy Stanger can 'three-peat' at inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic
Change Text Size
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — This week marks the inaugural edition of the Myrtle Beach Classic, contested at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, but PGA TOUR rookie Jimmy Stanger is no stranger here.
“Yeah, it was special,” said Stanger on his win at the 2016 General Hackler Championship. “I've talked a lot to my family and my caddie about it this week. I don't know if I'd be a pro golfer if it wasn't for this golf course … It had been a couple of years since a junior golf win. That gave me a lot of confidence to know that I could continue coming forward.
“Then the (2016 Southern Amateur Championship) was my first big amateur win, which kind of started getting the wheels turning in my head that I could compete at the highest level of amateur golf ... From winning the Hackler to the end of that year, I went from 600th to 10th (in the World Amateur Golf Rankings).”
The Tampa, Florida native went on to capture the individual 2017 ACC Championship, and after turning pro played on the Korn Ferry Tour from 2018 through 2023, when he earned PGA TOUR status.
Jimmy Stanger earns PGA TOUR card with win at Compliance Solutions Championship
“I remember thinking at that time the college win would never happen,” he reminisced. “And then I was there and got the win … I don't know if I'd be here if it wasn't for (The Dunes Club).
Part of the game-changer around his two wins was a process change.
“My mindset went from I want to be a pro golfer to whatever God wants me to be I'll be that way," Stanger continued. "I started going from showing up to tournaments thinking, ‘Okay, when is this going to turn around, when is this going to turn around,’ to, ‘Every time I hit a bad shot I'm going to say it's a hard game and I'm just going to move on past it and I'm going to laugh at it because you have to laugh'.”
It’s a process that he’s still fine-tuning now, in his first year on the PGA TOUR.
“Anytime I start drifting from that and start thinking about how I want to make this much money or I want to make this cut or I want to go do this and that,” he said. “It really comes back to I just want to go out there and compete my heart out and see how my game stacks up against the best in the world.”
Eight years after his breakthrough wins in Myrtle Beach, he’s back at the same course that kick-started his career.
What's in Jimmy Stanger's bag?
"I remember laughing so hard whenever they announced this event," he said. "How funny would it be if after winning here twice that I would be coming back for the third time for the three-peat in a sense for a PGA TOUR event ... I think that's a good advantage. We'll see what we can do with that."
An advantage indeed -- Stanger has a tried and true strategy here.
“I think the golf course has a lot of draw shapes off the tee,” he said. “That's my shot shape. If you can capitalize on the par 5s and just hang in there on the par 4s and par 3s, I think you can get after this golf course. I think that's part of what I like so much about this place.”
Stephanie Royer is on staff at the PGA TOUR. She played college golf and is currently pursuing an MBA. A world traveler, she hopes to always keep her country count above her age and to hit every destination in the "National Treasure" movies.

Anya taylor-joy revs up method dressing trend with ‘furiosa’-approved style on recent press tour.
From Margot Robbie’s 'Barbie' run to Zendaya’s 'Dune' and 'Challengers' cosplay, actresses and their stylists are continuing to pull from the page as inspiration for the red carpet.

Eyes follow Anya Taylor-Joy whenever she steps on a red carpet, and the descriptions of her ensembles that follow often include adjectives like glamorous, ethereal, angelic, and the like. But when she faced photographers’ lenses in Sydney in early May for the world premiere of George Miller ’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga , what followed was a series of exclamation points. Edgy! Electric! Striking! Furiosa-approved!

Saudi arabia's film alula is "moving full steam ahead", cannes legend jia zhangke on his "very emotional" new film 'caught by the tides'.
With her appearance, Taylor-Joy became the latest star to fashionably fuel a trend that has been described as method dressing or character cosplay. It has felt omnipresent as of late, thanks to style stars like Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Kristen Stewart and Florence Pugh. Though they have only made a handful of outings together to pump their highly anticipated two- part Wicked musical , Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have leaned heavily into the pink and green influences (pink for Grande’s Glinda and emerald for Erivo’s gravity-defying Elphaba) that telegraphed much more cosplay to come ahead of the first film’s November debut.
Actors and stylists have long pulled from the page, and screens big and small, as inspiration for red carpet dressing. But the method reached new heights and cultural awareness thanks to Robbie and her jaw-dropping, months-long Barbie promo tour expertly curated by her stylist Andrew Mukamal that featured an explosion of pink and meticulously crafted, luxury re-creations of looks worn by the iconic doll.
“If people at home have knowledge and a visual awareness of characters before even seeing the film, then you can really go there,” Mukamal told The Hollywood Reporter during a dinner to celebrate the Power Stylists list at which he was feted as Stylist of the Year for the long haul. Mukamal previously mined the trend with Zoë Kravitz for The Batman , which cast her as Catwoman. “So many people already knew who Catwoman was even before they got to see Zoe’s version of the character. With projects like that, Barbie included, there’s so much wealth to pull from. It’s proven to be a really great approach for certain projects, especially in terms of communicating a message on a press tour and creating great momentum. I’m loving seeing it more and more out there.”
Another high-profile example in recent months was Stone’s run for Poor Things with her longtime stylist Petra Flannery. The veteran Louis Vuitton ambassador wore a series of custom looks that complemented Stone’s character Bella Baxter in the world created by Yorgos Lanthimos . “I always try and take a little something from the film, a nod of some sort or a thread of the character,” Flannery tells THR . “I usually don’t do it so literally or in an overbearing way, but just something that helps give it a sense of inspiration, whether it be a color reference or silhouette.”
Or an accessory. Says Flannery: “For her character name, we had Louis Vuitton make BB pins that were created with gold and pearls. We placed them on some of the looks every so often, on a belt or lapel, to reference the character. Those things are so inspiring and it’s fun to keep adding to the art with nods like that. As Emma has said, it’s one of her favorite characters, so it was great to keep the character alive in that way.”
Other times, the references are so subtle that not even the most critical eyes will pick up on it. “There reference could be so small that that only myself and the actress will know,” teases Flannery. “It could be a color or an accessory, a way for them to know that a little piece of the character is always with them.”
