Inside Nicole Kidman's Relationship With Her Kids Bella And Connor Cruise

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise are the parents of two adopted children, Connor and Isabella "Bella" Cruise. When the couple split, the "Moulin Rogue" actor's relationship with their kids became fractured. She has since moved on with country star Keith Urban and welcomed two girls, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, but there has been much speculation about where things stand with Kidman and her eldest children.

The specifics of their relationship may be vague, but when Kidman speaks about Connor and Bella to the press, there's a lot of love. "Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love," she said in  The Sun  in 2019. She has also made it clear that there is no difference between having adopted or biological children. "It's the emotion of attaching to a child and helping to guide them and rear them [that is important]," she told Tatler in 2018.

They are all grown up, and their mom feels they've turned out well. "They are healthy and sane and together and are great, great people," she told Associated Press (via Daily Mail ) in 2010. "So I'm not one of those people that needs to be reminded of what I have." But that doesn't mean everything has always been perfect. Here's how Nicole Kidman's relationship with Bella and Connor has evolved over the years.

Nicole Kidman adopted her children in in 1992 and 1995

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise married in 1990. The "Batman Forever" actor knew she wanted to start a family with her husband, but the traditional route was not possible for them. "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," Kidman told Vanity Fair . "And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that's when we would adopt [our daughter] Bella."

The Oscar winner has been open about her fertility and miscarriage and how it impacted her experience with motherhood. "I wish I'd had more children, but I wasn't given that choice," she told Marie Claire in 2021. She did become a mom for the first time, thanks to adoption. First to Isabella "Bella" Cruise in 1992 and later to Connor Cruise in 1995. The love the star felt for her children was instant.

"When I held Bella in my arms, that was everything. I look into those eyes, and that crazy love happens — it's crazy love because you'll do anything when you have a child," Kidman told The Independent in a 1998 interview. "It opens up a part of your heart you didn't even know was there." At the same time, Kidman is open to them connecting with their birth parents. "That's part of my belief on adoption," she told E! News in 2016. "If a child wants to find their birth mother, I'm absolutely supportive of that."

Nicole Kidman's divorce from Tom Cruise impacted her children

There was a time when Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were one of Hollywood's hottest couples. "He swept me off my feet. I fell madly, passionately in love," she told The Sun. And things between them moved quickly. "I was so young. I look back now, and I'm like, 'What?' I had two kids by the time I was 27, and I'd been married for four years. But that's what I wanted," she shared.

But that ended with their divorce in 2001. Following their split, something seemingly shifted in Kidman's relationship with her children."They live with Tom, which was their choice," she said in 2010, per  Hello!  magazine. "I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?" Kidman and Tom agreed to joint custody of their children, but there's been much speculation about how much time she spends with them. There would be years without photographs of them in public, and there have been reports that Tom has excluded Kidman from special events, like their son's wedding, per Radar . (In 2019, Connor reportedly married Silvia Zanchi, who is a member of the Church of Scientology.) 

The questions about their dynamic were fueled when Kidman accepted an Emmy for Best Actress in a Limited Series in 2017 for her work in "Big Little Lies" and mentioned only her youngest kids in her speech. "I am also a mother and a wife. I have two little girls, Sunny and Faith," she said. "This is yours." 

They stopped calling Nicole Kidman 'mom'

Nicole Kidman has been reluctant to share too much about her relationship with Bella and Connor Cruise, but she has offered some rather telling details over the years. "My kids don't call me mommy, they don't even call me mom," she once told GMTV (via Marie Claire ). "They call me Nicole, which I hate, and tell them off for it."

To make matters worse, Tom Cruise's second wife, Katie Holmes, had previously gushed about her relationship with his and Kidman's kids. She said in a 2007 interview with Parade (via People ), "His first two children [Connor and Isabella] are incredible, really smart and kind. They call me 'Mom.'" In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2006, Holmes also spoke about the teens and their bond with their sister, Suri Cruise. "It's really special to see them [Bella and Connor] holding their little sister," she said. "To hear them talk about all of the fun things they are going to do together." Following Tom and Holmes' divorce, Suri reportedly became estranged from Tom ;  Suri's current relationship with her older siblings  is unclear.

Despite the complex relationship dynamics between Kidman and her children, she has stressed the importance of motherhood — regardless of the circumstances. "My daughter and son, their life is molded by the way I live," she said in a 2007 interview (via People ). "If I wasn't willing to take on that responsibility, I shouldn't have adopted them." 

Nicole Kidman's children are members of the Church of Scientology

Tom Cruise is arguably one of the most famous members of the Church of Scientology, and his older children, Bella and Connor Cruise, have followed in his footsteps. "They are adults," Nicole Kidman said in a 2018 interview with Who magazine. "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists, and as a mother, it's my job to love them." She added that she would continue to accept them because she is their parent. "No matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I'm open here," she shared.

Actor and former Scientologist Leah Remini has been far less diplomatic about the Kidman-Cruise kids' upbringing. In her 2015 memoir, "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology," "The King of Queens" star claimed Bella and Connor were kept away from any outside information that, as she put it, "might get them asking questions." Remini also remembered once asking Bella and Connor about spending time with Kidman. According to Remini, Bella allegedly responded, "Not if I have a choice. Our mom is a f***ing SP." "SP" stands for "suppressive person," which is the term the church uses for anyone who they view as an enemy.

Despite this, Kidman is supportive. "I've chosen not to speak publicly about Scientology. I have two children who are Scientologists — Connor and Isabella — and I utterly respect their beliefs," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2013.

Nicole Kidman wants her relationship with her kids to remain private

Nicole Kidman is one of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry. As such, there will always be an interest in what she does and what happens in her personal life. While she is willing to share some of it with fans, like her fertility issues, there are other aspects she prefers to keep under wraps, like her relationship with her two oldest children. "I'm very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships," she said in an interview with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 2018 (via Hello! magazine ). "I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it's what my purpose is." Kidman has also made a point of keeping her two youngest children, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, away from the spotlight.

Bella and Connor Cruise seem to be more than fine with leading relatively quiet lives. "[Connor] is DJing, he's doing really well. Bella lives in London now," Kidman said in a 2013 interview with " Extra ." "I think that, you know, everybody has their own path, and when they find their path, it's such relief as a parent, you know?" She has also praised them for who they have become. In a 2014 interview with The Weekly , she said, "They are generous, kind, and hardworking, and these are traits that I love to see in my children."

Nicole Kidman has a deep love for her children

In the interviews Nicole Kidman has given about her children, she has made one thing clear: she loves them. While promoting her film "Lion," which is a story that involves adoption, she told Town & Country , "This movie is a love letter to my children." The 2016 biographical feature, which also stars Dev Patel, follows a young man who spent the bulk of his childhood with adoptive parents and wants to find his biological family. "I relate to that. I feel that for my own children who are adopted," Kidman said. "It's not about anything else other than 'I wanted you.' It's that deep and personal, and whatever your journey is, I'm here to love and support you."

Despite the obvious love she has for Bella and Connor, Kidman has been honest about how parenting can be a challenge. No matter what, she approaches it with openness and offers support. "Parenting is about learning who they are, not making them what you want them to be — letting them find their way then supporting them," she told The Sun. "It's rigorous. You're constantly looking at yourself, so you're not placing these expectations on a child." When asked to name the most difficult thing about being a mother in Vogue's "73 Questions" series, she replied, "Knowing I won't be here forever, so I won't always be here to take care of them."

Bella Cruise moved to London and lives her life mostly out of the spotlight, although she has a public Instagram page and refers to herself as Bella Kidman Cruise. I see her sometimes, and I speak to her," she said. "We're a very close family. I love all of our family."

In 2015, Bella married Max Parker at the Dorchester Hotel. Neither Nicole Kidman nor Tom Cruise were there. While there was speculation about why Bella's parents skipped out on the wedding, a tipster told the Daily Mail  that they simply wanted to avoid creating a media frenzy. While they may not be as close as Nicole Kidman would hope, Connor Cruise has said things are good between them. "I love my mum," he said in an interview with Woman's Day in 2014. "I don't care what people say; I know that me and Mum are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything. Yeah, I love my music, but the family comes before everything else."

His mother sure seems to share these sentiments about family. In an interview with The Weekly, the actor spoke about her children and husband, Keith Urban. "At this stage of my life, and with time being so precious, the joy I get from us as a family outweighs any joy in any other area of my life by far," she said. 

In addition to working as a DJ, Connor is a keen fisherman, golfs from time to time, and enjoys barbecuing meat. Connor resides in Clearwater, Florida — yes, near Scientology headquarters and one of dad Tom Cruise's many properties. A source told People in 2018, "Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater." Though they lead entirely different lives, Kidman supports the path her son has chosen to follow. Not only did Nicole, who left Scientology in 1997, not attend Connor’s wedding , but she was also absent from daughter Bella’s. There have long since been rumors that Nicole isn't close to either of her adult children, and in 2018, she spoke candidly to Who magazine about her relationship with her kids and her support for their life choices.

What is Connor Cruise's job?

Over the years, Connor has tried his hand at acting and even had a small following as a DJ, but these days, it looks like he has devoted his life to deep-sea fishing where he lives in Clearwater, Fla. (She also shares daughters Faith and Sunday with Urban.) That may have something to do with Connor and Isabella — now ages 26 and 28, respectively — staying with their father Tom after their parents' divorce in 2001 (via News.com.au ). As Kidman clarified to the Aussie news outlet, the kids remaining with Tom "was their choice." She added, I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?" 

Nonetheless, Kidman appears up-to-date on Isabella's current affairs, as she resides in England with husband Max Parker. A quick scan of Connor's Instagram page shows the 26-year-old frequently flaunting his epic catches of the sea, quipping in a mid-August birthday Instagram Story to friend Jack Vasilaros (per the Daily Mail), "Happy birthday @hookedforlife! Cheers to another year slaying monsters around the globe." (The two are proudly propping up an enormous piscine catch together in the Story.)

As for Connor's DJ endeavors, they seemed to have at least temporarily been put on the backburner. With his  Instagram suggesting his last spinster gig was in August 2016, a People source revealed that while Connor "still deejays ... he has really become a big fishing guy" who's "content with living a quieter life." That quiet also includes "Connor's Meatshack," an Instagram account  curated to showcase Connor's love of meats and grilling said meats. Having also acted in high-profile flicks like Will Smith's 2008 "Seven Pounds" and the 2012 reboot of "Red Dawn," Connor truly appears to be a jack of all trades.

Despite rumors to the contrary, both mother Nicole Kidman and son Connor Cruise seem to be on stable ground these days. Per Little Things , Connor and sister Isabella Cruise are Scientologists like their father Tom Cruise, while Kidman was reportedly deemed a "SP," or "Suppressive Person," by the Church. Many wondered if this had caused a wedge between Kidman and her oldest kids. Leah Remini, an ex-Scientologist, alleged in her 2015 memoir "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" that Isabella had told her in 2006 she wasn't in touch with Kidman, snarking, "Not if I can help it, she's a f**king SP," while Connor "just looked out the window" (via  Now To Love ). 

Tom denied that Kidman was blocked from seeing Connor and Isabella, telling Oprah Winfrey in 2008 (via  Reuters ), "We share custody. Whenever." Kidman affirmed this in 2018 to  Who , sharing, "They have made choices to be Scientologists ... It's our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love." The "Big Little Lies" actor did confess to The Sun in September 2019 (via Honey ) that her relationship with Connor and Isabella entailed "peaks and valleys," asserting that "motherhood is about the journey ... whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother."

Connor Cruise had a day out with his dad! On Saturday, Tom Cruise and his 28-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, were spotted out and about in New York City.

The father-son duo was seen walking to an AMC theater in Times Square for a promotion of Tom's upcoming film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning . Also with them was the 61-year-old actor's older sister, 63-year-old Lee Mapother. 

Tom looked casual in a black button-down shirt, jeans and sunglasses that were giving Top Gun vibes. As for Connor, he sported a gray collared shirt, jeans, sneakers and a backpack.

Just a month or so prior to being spotted out with his dad, Connor shared a rare photo of himself on social media .

In the image, Connor poses in a blue checkered polo shirt, shades, and a hat while flashing a peace sign and hanging with two friends. The pic was taken at Belleair Country Club in Belleair, Florida, a city just a few miles away from Clearwater, Florida, where Connor has lived since 2019.

While public appearances from Connor  are few and far between , he has been photographed alongside his famous father on multiple occasions over the years, including an appearance at a 2021 Los Angeles Dodgers game in San Francisco.

In addition to Connor, Tom also shares 30-year-old daughter Isabella Cruise with Kidman, and 17-year-old Suri Cruise with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Tom Cruise 's worldwide fame has seen him star in some amazing movies including "Top Gun" and "Mission Impossible" - but little is known about his off-screen life as the actor keeps quiet about his three children.

The Golden Globe winner became a parent while married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001. After struggling to conceive, the former couple adopted daughter Isabella in 1992 and son Connor in 1995.

After his first marriage broke down, the actor found love again with Katie Holmes and the pair went on to welcome his only biological child, Suri, who celebrated her 18th birthday last month. Tom missed the celebrations and insiders said he feels "guilty" about it , despite reports claiming he has not been involved in Suri's life for several years.

Tom's two adopted children, however, are said to have a good relationship with the actor, who raised them within the controversial Church of Scientology. Reports claim the siblings have a rift with their mother as they have not been seen in public with Kidman since 2007.

While Isabella lives in London with her IT manager husband, Connor is based in a Scientology community in Clearwater, Florida, and spends much time with his father, supporting him on promotional tours all around the world .

A source previously said Connor enjoys cooking, fishing and has a lot of friends. They told People : "Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater. He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked."

Connor often posts photos of his catches during fishing trips and also runs an Instagram profile showing off slow-cooked joints of meat he enjoys cooking. According to his Instagram profile, he also enjoys golfing and enjoys days out on the course with his friends.

Apart from living a simple life in Florida, Connor is often spotted in public with his father Tom. Last summer he was also seen in New York with his aunt Lee Ann as they supported Tom during the promotional tour for the latest Mission Impossible film. Sources say Connor is "incredibly loyal" to his father and is also close to his sister Isabella, once describing their relationship as "Day One homies".

Meanwhile, earlier this week Tom's youngest daughter Suri looked all grown up as she stepped out for a springtime stroll in New York City shortly after her famous father ditched her 18th birthday. The soon-to-be high school grad was seen focused on her music as she went for a stroll in the city after just wrapping up her birthday celebrations.

Suri looked comfy and cute for the daytime outing as she stepped out in a cream, tight long-sleeved top with a pair of tight black shorts. She added a touch of colour to the neutral look with a pair of fun pink patterned socks and a bright palm frond-covered tote.

Tom Cruise is known for a lot of things , but gabbing about his kids isn't one of them.

Naturally that has something to do with the fact that son Connor Cruise and daughter Isabella Cruise with ex-wife Nicole Kidman , as well as daughter Suri Cruise with ex-wife Katie Holmes , are leading relatively private lives outside of show business—though they can't help being famous-by-association thanks to their movie star parents.

But you can't deny Tom's enigmatic ways, the Mission: Impossible star being so impressively out there—jumping off cliffs, riding motorcycles, sending his friends coconut cake every year—and yet increasingly private.

Though he rhapsodized about fatherhood when all of his children were little, his inclination to share exponentially decreased as the spotlight grew ever brighter (and he notched his third divorce in 2012).

So, any rare sighting of him spending time in public with his now grown children tends to be an event.

Such was the case when Tom was snapped in a group pic that included Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29 , at a Florida Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game last December, though it took until recently for the Internet to notice the photo on NFL Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks ' Instagram.

"Wow, look who stopped by my office before our @tblightning game tonight! @tomcruise," the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker captioned the Dec. 27 post . "I was a little star struck but played it cool and He said he was too!"

Little did Derrick know he was doing the social media equivalent of lighting a long fuse, classic M:I -style.

It was the first time the 61-year-old actor had been seen with Connor and Isabella at a public event since a 2009 Los Angeles Galaxy game (the three were informally snapped by paparazzi with Suri in Central Park in 2010), though public outings with his son have been a bit more frequent.

As for his youngest child, how much time Tom spends with now-18-year-old Suri has been a subject of speculation ever since he and Katie divorced in 2012 after less than six years of marriage.

"My whole life I always wanted to be a father," Tom told Vanity Fair for the October 2006 cover story that introduced Suri to the world at 3 months old . "I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them—that I'd never make a promise to my kids that I couldn't keep. I'm not one of those people who believe you can spoil a child with too much love. You can never give a child too much love. There's just no way."

While they were together, he and Katie were frequently spotted out with their daughter, and there are countless pap pics of them trying to get from a car into a building and back again to prove it.

But they didn't let the ever-present photographers stop them from living their life: The family went to amusement parks, attended Galaxy games (they were Beverly Hills neighbors with David and Victoria Beckham when the English football star crossed the pond to give soccer a shot in the arm in 2007) and were at the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami Gardens along with then-15-year-old Connor.

But Suri was 6 when Tom and Katie split up. She's lived with her mom in New York for years , while her dad is based in Florida these days when not globetrotting for work—which he so often is.

In the ensuing years, Tom has never gone the route of giving a big interview about fatherhood, or made some other flagrantly public gesture to counter the narrative that they didn't have a relationship.

In a Playboy interview published in June 2012, a month before he and Katie announced they were divorcing , Tom said that, while he preferred not to waste time dealing with the stranger rumors and other swipes at his character that shadowed his wildly successful career, he had his limits .

"You start with a letter saying, 'OK, you know it's not true. Apologize,'" he said. "There is a point with a lot of things when you just go, 'You know what? I don't want to waste my time with this. I'm busy. I'd rather spend this time with my kids and my wife, at home or on our movies, creating a life together. If you have kids, it is the most important thing to create good times."

But, he added, "with certain ones you have to go, 'OK, you crossed a line, and now you have the attention of my lawyers.' When it involves your kids, with these guys you have to go, 'Here's the line, and anytime you cross it…' But there are lots of times when you just have to say, 'Please don't cross that line. Be decent. Let's not do this.'"

And he did push back against what he viewed to be an egregious take, filing a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media's In Touch and Life & Style for reporting in 2012 that he had "abandoned" Suri .

Sitting down for a deposition in the case on Sept. 9, 2013, Tom acknowledged not seeing his child for at least 100 days while filming the action thriller Edge of Tomorrow in London, but denied ever being out of touch.

"You have to work at it," he said, sharing that he called her every day, per court documents obtained by E! News. "I've gotten very good at it. I tell wonderful stories. I also find that, you know, Suri is a very happy child, and confident, and has a good sense of herself."

Tom continued, "Things change and there's different agreements, like in any divorce, where you work out a schedule. It's just a different set of circumstances. It certainly does not mean that I've abandoned my daughter."

The lawsuit was settled that December and dismissed with prejudice, meaning it couldn't be refiled. A spokeswoman for both publications said it was never their intent "to communicate that Tom Cruise had cut off all ties and abandoned his daughter, Suri, and regret if anyone drew that inference from anything they published."

And so began the next era of Tom Cruise, silent movie star (so to speak). In work-centric interviews and on the red carpet, he's as charming as ever, but his kids fall into the no-ask zone.

Yet as any person with or without social media knows: Just because it isn't in a photo for the world to see, that doesn't mean it isn't happening. Keep reading for all the details on Tom's family:

Marriage to Nicole Kidman

Tom Cruise was in the process of divorcing first wife Mimi Rogers when he met Nicole Kidman making the racing movie Days of Thunder in early 1990. He proposed to the Australian actress once he was officially single and they tied the knot that year on Christmas Eve.

"It was that special connection when you recognize your soul mate," Tom told Vanity Fair in 1994. "She is a person who understands. It was as if a whole new life had started for me."

They announced their divorce in February 2001 with a press release citing the "difficulties inherent of diverging careers which constantly keep them apart." Though it's unclear if Nicole agreed with that rationale.

"I'm starting to understand now [why we broke up]," she told Vanity Fair toward the end of 2002. "At the time I didn't."

Her ex, meanwhile, had told the publication earlier that year, "She knows why, and I know why. She's the mother of my children, and I wish her well. And I think that you just move on. And I don't say that lightly. I don't say that with anything."

Tom and Nicole adopted their eldest child, Isabella , when she was born on Dec. 22, 1992.

Admittedly "scared to death" the first time he changed a diaper, Tom told VF in 1994 that he and Nicole "talked about children from time to time, but there was always the work. But then we went, When is it ever going to be the right time? That's how the conversation started. You're lying in bed at night and you're trying to sleep, so you roll over and you go, What would happen if we had this in our life?... One of the things that Nic and I talk about is that now suddenly we're a family ."

Nicole said they definitely planned on having more kids, whether by birth or adoption, preferably both.

"Isabella was meant for us," she told the magazine. "I think when things come into your life at a certain time you have to take them. It's destiny."

She later revealed to VF in 2007 that they decided to adopt after she lost a pregnancy. "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," she said. "And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that's when we would adopt Bella."

"There's a complicated background to that," she added, "given that I never speak much about many things. One day maybe that story will be told."

Isabella, an artist and graduate of London's Delamar Academy of Make-Up and Hair, lives in England with husband Max Parker .

It raised a few eyebrows when the bride's parents didn't attend the couple's 2015 wedding at the Dorchester hotel in London.

"Of course, they're my parents," she fired back at Daily Mail Online when the newlywed was asked if she spoke to Tom and Nicole. "Anyone who says otherwise is full of s--t."

Moreover, only a few close friends attended and the groom's parents weren't there, either, his mom Beverly Parker telling the Mail they stayed away to avoid "a media circus." Calling the pair "lovely," she said, "I'm very pleased for them both and they're very happy."

Max told the publication that "you could say" his wife had foregone the spotlight, but it was "more of a weird situation for everyone else" than it was for them.

Meanwhile, sources told People that Tom approved of Max, was OK with not being there and he paid for the wedding, while Nicole was just glad her daughter seemed happy.

Connor Cruise

Connor rounded out the family when he was adopted at birth on Jan. 17, 1995. He's a musician and DJ, and reportedly lives in Miami.

Nicole married Keith Urban in 2006 and they share daughters Sunday Rose , born July 7, 2008, and Faith Margaret , born via gestational surrogate Dec. 28, 2010.

Reflecting on how Connor and Isabella chose to live with their dad after the divorce, she told HELLO! , "I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?" (They did attend the Kidman-Urban nuptials in Australia.)

Several years later she acknowledged that both of her older kids were practicing Scientologists, like their father, but—contrary to rumors that religion had driven a wedge between them—that was neither here nor there.

"They are adults," the Oscar winner told Australia's Who in 2018. "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

Talking to Now to Love in 2014, Nicole called Isabella and Connor "generous, kind and hardworking," all "traits that I love to see in my children."

Tom was in a sharing mood when he started dating the Dawson's Creek alum in 2005, boisterously telling Oprah Winfrey and her sofa that he was in love with the actress.

"Here's the thing, you can't think about it in terms of what people are going to do or say," he told MTV News that June of the PR perils of wearing his heart on his sleeve. "It's 'I want to share my life with this woman. This woman is exceptional, she's special, she's extraordinary and I have great respect for her.' It's someone who's saying 'I've got nothing to hide, I'm happy.' I'm happy, man!"

Their lavish Nov. 18, 2006, nuptials were held at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy. Suri, Connor and Bella were in attendance, along with the likes of the Beckhams, Jennifer Lopez and then-husband Marc Anthony , Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith , and Brooke Shields and spouse Chris Henchy .

The Top Gun star proposed atop the Eiffel Tower in June 2005, reportedly within eight weeks of their first date.

Suri Cruise

Tom and Katie's daughter was born April 18, 2006.

The October 2006 cover of Vanity Fair , first revealed on the CBS Evening News Sept. 5, introduced Suri to the world. The portrait by Annie Leibovitz featured the 3-month-old tucked into her dad's leather aviator jacket, an homage to Linda McCartney 's famous shot of Paul McCartney with their baby daughter Mary from his 1970 album McCartney .

"She's a glorious girl," Katie told the magazine. "She's the miracle of our life."

Tom shared that they found the name in a baby book sent to them by friends and just loved it. "We later found out that it meant 'red rose,' and that was just a bonus," he added. "Suri—it was perfect."

The article noted that the family, including Conor and Bella, were all gathered cozily at Tom's house in Telluride (which he sold in 2021 for $39.5 million).

"It's really special to see them holding their little sister," Katie said. "To hear them talk about all of the fun things they are going to do together." Added Tom, "It's very moving to me too. I look at those moments of watching Bella and Connor grow up and you get a sense of what kind of people they are going to be as adults."

The proceedings were settled relatively quickly , with both sides agreeing on Suri living primarily with her mom while her dad got generous visitation rights. Katie started splitting time between New York and L.A. and resettled Suri on the East Coast for school.

Katie filed for divorce in June 2012, her attorney saying in a statement her "primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The Batman Begins actress set about giving her kid the most normal life possible, ferrying her to school and gymnastics like any other Manhattan mom. While the paparazzi never stopped clicking away, Katie shared only a handful of glimpses of Suri on social media over the years. But they also were seen at sporting events and have made many a pilgrimage to Broadway to catch a show.

Tom and Connor Cruise made a father-son appearance in London over the weekend.

The actor and his 24-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman , were photographed as they approached a private helicopter.

The 57-year-old was dressed in a navy hoodie and jeans as he waved and smiled at fans in the distance, while Connor wore a charcoal-gray sweatshirt with jeans and walked a few steps behind his famous dad.

According to People , Tom, who learned to fly a chopper (and to take a stroll at 5,000 feet ) for his work in the “Mission Impossible” franchise, took Connor along to show him “some aviation basics.”

The action star is a father of three, but isn't often photographed alongside his children.

Isabella, who was born on December 22, 1992, took a page out of her father’s book by adopting a lifestyle away from the spotlight, however, she recently resurfaced on her Instagram  with a selfie on August 25, and fans went wild. The new photo came four months after she last shared a photo of her face online, so her followers were elated to see her sharing a new picture of herself.

The London-based artist owns a company with the title of her namesake, “Bella Kidman Cruise,” which sells phone cases, tote bags, and more. As far as her personal life is concerned, Bella married Max Parker , an IT consultant, in an intimate ceremony in London in September of 2015. Now, he is back for the start of the Dolphins’ organized team activities portion of the offseason.

With OTAs beginning Monday, Tagovailoa is present, according to a report from The Athletic on Monday morning.

Tagovailoa’s return to Dolphins facilities is the latest development after a Friday report that the quarterback heading into the fifth and final year of his rookie contract has missed most of the team’s first two phases of offseason workouts , as reported by CBS Sports. Those sessions, along with OTAs, are voluntary from players.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, going back to the league’s annual meeting in late March expressed a belief that Tagovailoa would show for OTAs.

Tagovailoa is slated to earn $23.17 million playing on the fifth-year option of his rookie deal in 2024, but he is not under contract beyond that.

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier has expressed a willingness to keeping Tagovailoa in Miami long-term.

He said at the start of the offseason, in an end-of-season news conference in January: “The goal is to have him here long-term playing at a high level. That’s always the goal, and we’ll continue to communicate with him through the offseason here.”

Grier reiterated a similar sentiment speaking Feb. 28 at the NFL scouting combine.

“Our goal is to try and get something done,” Grier said. “(Tagovailoa’s agent) Ryan Williams has been great. Tua has been great. We’ll see. There is no timeline on it. At the end of the day, you know how these deals get done. They are complicated deals and we’re building a team through free agency as well. We’ll work through it and see if we can get something done.”

Tagovailoa is surely seeking an extension that nets him greater than $50 million per year. Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, last week, signed a deal that averaged $53 million a season, making him the fifth quarterback to surpass the $50 million threshold in average annual value. It’s becoming a new norm for NFL quarterbacks as the league’s salary cap continues to rise.

ESPN reported Sunday that Tagovailoa has already turned down one offer from the Dolphins.

If the two sides don’t agree on a contract extension and Tagovailoa plays out his contract season, the Dolphins also have the ability to place Tagovailoa on the franchise tag next offseason for 2025.

It is not uncommon for players going through contract negotiations to miss voluntary offseason workouts. Last offseason, defensive tackle Zach Sieler and center Connor Williams were among those to miss OTAs. Sieler eventually worked out a new deal, and Williams is currently a free agent while rehabbing a knee injury.

Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, last training camp, declined to participate in team portions of practice for a short period of time amid contract talks. Without striking a deal, he ultimately played out his final season with Miami and fled in free agency this offseason to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Monday’s first OTA session for the Dolphins is closed to the media. The first one open to reporters is Tuesday. Miami also has a Thursday practice and three more next week to wrap up the OTAs portion of the offseason.

The Dolphins have a three-day mandatory minicamp to follow that runs June 4-6. While everything before that is voluntary, there are fines associated with missing those drills.

Tom Cruise has been ultra-private about his personal life since his 2012 divorce from Katie Holmes . But the actor’s decision to go public with his new girlfriend, Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova, seems to be a sign things are getting serious between the pair.

Now, a new report suggests that even Tom’s oldest children – Isabella and Connor Cruise, whom he shares with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman – have met and are approving of his new girlfriend.

"[Connor and Isabella Cruise] both met her and think she’s fantastic — even if Elsina is just a few years older than they are,” a source recently said , noting that Elsina, 36, is nearly 30 years younger than Tom, 60.

"Everyone’s excited to see Tom with this loved-up glow and a spring in his step. It’s long overdue," they added.

Tom and Elsina went public with their relationship earlier this month during an outing in London. The source says the sighting was intentional, as the couple wanted to debut their romance to the world. Tom and Elsina were apparently quietly dating a few months before the news broke.

"They hit it off, but he wanted to keep things super discreet while they first got to know each other,” the insider explained. “[Tom] made a big point of telling everyone after the London party how liberating and wonderful it was to have gotten this out in the open.”

Tom Cruise Was Warned By His Girlfriend’s Ex-Husband

Even though Tom and Elsina’s relationship is new, it’s already stirred controversy. Her ex-husband, Russian oligarch Dmitry Tsetkov, gave an interview to Daily Mail where he warned the actor that Elsina has a history of going after men with money.

“Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life,” Tsetkov told the outlet. “I’m happy for her, I wish her all the best.”

Elsina’s ex-husband alleged that her clothing and accessories collection alone costs $12 million, speaking to her taste for luxury. Tsetkov added that Cruise need to “keep his wallet wide open” to make the relationship with Khayrova work, given her “expensive and luxurious tastes,” perhaps hinting at what led to the end of their marriage.

'Mission Impossible': The Cast Ranked From Richest To Poorest

Tsetkov, who made his fortune in diamonds and mining, was married to Elsina for more than a decade before their divorce in 2020. The exes share two children.

Despite wishing her “the best,” Tsetkov and Elsina reportedly had a contentious divorce. He claim he drained her fortune and settling their divorce cost him nearly $200 million in the end, even costing him numerous assets. As of now, the exes are barely on speaking terms despite having kids together.

“I haven’t spoken with Elsina about this because our preferred method of communication is through our lawyers,” Tsetkov continued. “She’s 36, she’s beautiful, financially independent and loves life.”

The oligarch added that it’s been weird seeing Cruise date his ex-wife, considering he always thought the actor would be the perfect choice to play him in a movie about his life.

“I told the producer that the only actor who could play me is Tom Cruise. We’re about the same height and weight and I would be honoured if that could happen,” he explained. “I couldn’t think of anyone better to play me than Tom. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to meet him one day to discuss this project.”

For now, Cruise hasn’t responded to Tsetkov’s comments nor has he publicly spoken about his reported relationship with Elsina.

Johnathon Schaech will reprise his role as Sheriff Justin Wise from the 2020 movie “Blue Ridge,” which the TV series is based on. The six-episode crime drama is set in the North Carolina mountains, where Wise, a modern Western hero, endeavors to uphold the law while living in a small Appalachian town.
