Carnival Pride Ship Tour 2023 (following Dry Dock)

Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride Ship recently had a Dry Dock maintenance period in June 2023 . Fortunately, we were booked on the second cruise after that dry dock period so we were able to produce this Carnival Pride Ship Tour video to allow you to see how the ship now looks following its refurbishment.

Carnival Pride Ship Tour 2023 Video

Are you planning or have booked a cruise on Carnival Pride? Well, our Carnival Pride Ship Tour video will give you a full bang-up-to-date overview and a full walkthrough of the ship following its dry dock maintenance period in June 2023.

My name is Alan from CruiseNonstop.com and I’ll be your host for this Carnival Pride full tour from the top of the ship all the way to the bottom.

This Carnival Pride ship tour video was filmed during our cruise on Carnival between the 9th and the 18th of June 2023 on a cruise through the Norwegian Fjords.  This was Carnival Pride’s second cruise following its dry dock period.

Introduction

Hey Cruise Fans, It’s Alan here from Cruise Nonstop and today we are doing a full ship tour of the Carnival Pride after its month-long Dry Dock upgrade in 2023.

This video was shot on just the second cruise right after that maintenance period so everything you’ll see here is bang up to date.

So if you are planning a cruise on Carnival Pride or thinking about booking one, then this video will tell you everything you need to know about the ship’s layout and what to expect when you get on board.

So Welcome board and let’s get started.

Carnival Pride Ship Overview

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - Carnival Pride Docked in Molde, Norway 2023

First of all, let’s quickly talk about the ship itself. Carnival Pride was launched back in 2002 and has a Gross Tonnage of 88,500 tonnes, it houses up to 2680 passengers and has a crew of 910.

It’s a Carnival Cruise Line Spirit-class ship which basically means it’s one of the smaller ships in Carnival’s fleet, but don’t let that put you off as it has a lot to offer.

For this ship tour, I am going to start at the very top of the ship and work down. But what I love about this ship is its quirky layout where it has entertainment at the top of the ship and at the bottom – as you’ll find out.

Carnival Pride Deck 12 – The Sky Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - Sky Deck 12 - Carnival Waterworks

So up on Deck 12 you’ll find the Kids’ favorite spot the “Carnival Waterworks” with its thrilling waterslides . These are specially for the kids and young at heart. There are two slides one of which extends over the side of the ship. I do hope they put new bolts in that slide during the dry dock period LOL

There is not much else to see on Desk 12 as it is quite small to let’s head down to Deck 11 – The Sports Deck.

Carnival Pride Deck 11 – The Sports Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour Sports Deck

The sports deck is located at the forward end of the ship. Here you will find the usua l basketball court which also doubles for other activities including my favorite which is Pickleball . Located around the outside of this deck is the mini-golf course .

There is a very cool see-through lift to take you down to deck 10 which is the Sun Deck.

Carnival Pride Deck 10 – The Sun Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - The Sun Deck

If you are looking for a quiet spot to sunbathe there is lots of space up here and I’m sure you can find a spot looking over the main Lido pool . This is also the favorite deck for joggers and walkers. You can walk all the way around the deck and 3 and a half laps equals 1 mile. At the front of the deck, you can see the glass windows which look out from the Cloud 9 spa and fitness centre .

The Fitness center is on two levels and has great views out to sea. As you can see there is lots of gym equipment available and space to work out. The equipment looks very modern so it looks like the Fitness centre benefited from the dry dock period. From previous videos I have seen, it looks like the Cloud 9 Spa and Salon areas have also had a makeover.

Moving back to the rear of Deck 10 you’ll find the newly rebranded Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse . This was previously called David’s Steakhouse and has been rebranded during dry dock.

Outside the steakhouse, you’ll find the glass see-through steps which are at the very top of the Atrium . From here you can see all the way down to deck 2.

Carnival Pride Deck 9 – The Lido Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - Deck 10 The Sun Deck

The glass stairs go down one level to Deck 9 the Lido Deck and take you straight into the Mermaid’s Grille Buffet Dining Area . This is a huge area which is around a third of the length of the ship.

There are lots of choices of food available here and only once did we find any problem finding seating. Food is served here from early in the morning until late at night. As well as standard buffet items there are places where you can get food items cooked to order, including these amazing hot sandwiches.

There is also a Pizza Grill here where they will make almost any kind of pizza for you. This was open until 4 in the morning.

As well as the buffet areas there was also the Seafood corner which offers delicious fish and seafood for a small additional charge.

Let’s jump back to the front of Deck 9 as I want to show you Carnival Pride’s swimming pool areas from the front of the ship to the back. First up is the Apollo forward pool areas. This was a relatively quiet area with nice seating on either side of the pool.

Walking to the rear of the ship takes you into the main pool area. You pass the first of the two pool bars – the Blue Iguana .

This is the Venus pool and it features a sliding roof that can be used for colder itineraries. On windy sea days, the roof made a huge difference to the temperatures.

This is also where you’ll find the giant cinema screen for late-night movies.  This is also the spot where any daytime or evening pool entertainment is held, so it can get quite noisy here.

Opposite the Blue Iguana Bar is the Red Frog Rum Bar . This is not to be confused with the Red Frog pub which is down on deck 2.

Just to the left of the movie screen, you will find my favorite eating spot on the ship, Guy’s Burgers Joint .

Here you’ll find the main man himself explaining how he makes those delicious burgers. Easily the best burgers I’ve had on any cruise ship.

If Mexican food is more your scene you’ll find the the Blue Iguana Cantina directly opposite Guys burger joint.

Now if you head back all the way through the Mermaid Grille you will come to my favorite pool on the ship. This is the Serenity Pool and is the adults-only area.

It’s actually a really great spot at the beginning of the cruise as it’s kind of tucked away and it’s a few days before most folks find it.

As the cruise goes on though it does become very popular, so it can be hard to find a spot here.

There are upgraded loungers and really nice pods to shelter you from the sun or wind.

This was a really great spot to get the last heat of the sun, or when leaving port.

The serenity pool also has its own bar. It’s also one of the quickest bars to get served at on the whole ship.

Carnival Pride Decks 4,5,6,7,8 – Cabin Decks

Now I did say earlier that this ship had a rather quirky layout . And that’s because the interior entertainment decks are all the way down at the bottom of the ship on decks 2 and 3. Everything else in between is just cabin decks .

Carnival Pride Deck 3 – The Atlantic Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - The Taj Mahal Theatre

So let’s take the atrium elevator all the way down to Deck 3 – the Atlantic Deck

At the front of Deck 3 is the Taj Mahal Theatre . This is where every night you’ll find a featured show from either the ship’s own theatre staff, the fun crew,  or a guest performer.

On either side of the Taj Mahal Theatre, you will find another hidden gem on the ship – the interior promenade that is known as the Sunset Garden . This is a great spot to relax and unwind.

Moving towards the back of the ship you’ll walk through the rather grandly named Via Veneto Upper Promenade which leads to the Ivory Piano Bar . This is a very lively spot at night.

Next door is the Warehouse . This is where you will probably find your kids if they have gone missing. The warehouse is the ship’s arcade and it was well-stocked with some of the latest arcade games .

Back out into the interior promenade and you’ll come to ship’s Via Venetto shopping mall . Here you’ll find everything from designer watches, jewelry, and perfumes to alcohol, clothing, and candy.

The ship claims that you won’t be able to match their prices onshore. The stores are very nicely laid out and well-stocked.

Let’s now walk through to the central atrium area, this is where you will find the Pixel Photo Gallery . This looks down into the central lobby and the Atrium Bar .

Keep walking and you’ll pass the photography store and also the new private photography studio that was added in dry dock. This leads you into the Raphael Lounge Bar Area.

Next, you’ll reach the upper level of the Main Dining Room, the Normandie Restaurant .  The restaurant is spread over two levels. We found the design a bit dark compared to other ships.

Of course, Deck 3 is called the Atlantic deck for a reason – it has an outside promenade . You can walk all the way around the back of the ship here.

Carnival Pride Deck 2 – The Promenade Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - Deck 2 The Normandie Reastaurant

So let’s head down to deck 2 and take a closer look at the main dining room . As I mentioned before, if you are not in the central section it can be quite dark. I did like how the waiters’ service stations were all in one side section. We had a great table right at the aft of the ship with a great view leaving port every evening.

So continuing our tour of deck 2, as you walk out of the main dining room, watch out for the Beauties Nightclub on your left. This was redesigned during dry dock. It used to cover two levels now it’s just one.

Opposite the nightclub is the Captain’s Dining Club Annex.

Next, we have the amazing Alchemy Bar . There is almost always some live entertainment on here. The Alchemy is one of the most popular bars on the ship as they make some of the most amazing martini cocktails found at sea.

Now let’s head along to the Central Atrium . Here you’ll find the Atrium bar which was always very busy. Just like the Alchemy bar, there is entertainment here regularly. They have a very cool stage directly behind the bartenders, so it can be a great place to sit.

You can also get a good view of the atrium here. Again I found it very dark compared to other ships I’ve been on.

This is also where you will find guest services and the shore excursions desk.

Next up if you fancy some sushi, you’ll find the Bonsai Sushi restaurant . there is an extra charge if you want to dine here as it is one of the ship’s specialty restaurants.

Then we come to the Casino . It’s a very large casino, so for some reason, people tend get lost in here and never seem to find their way out. I wonder why that is? The Casino bar was removed during the dry dock refurbishment, but you can still get bar service here.

Just outside the Casino there is a small Internet Cafe on the left.

Next, you’ll find the newly rebranded Heroes Tribute bar which was renamed and refurbished during dry dock.

This is a sports-type bar but is also set up to recognise our veterans which was really nicely done.

Next door is the Red Frog Pub . This bar has been designed to resemble a typical British-style pub. They had great entertainment on here every evening until the late hours.

Outside is the Piazza Cafe where you can order some coffee or some delicious cakes and pastries .

There is also a nice seating area out here if you found the pub entertainment too loud.

In this area, you will also find the brand-new Carnival Adventures store where you can buy all sorts of Carnival-branded goodies.

Carnival Pride Deck 1 – The Riviera Deck

Carnival Pride Ship Tour - Butterflies Lounge on Deck 1

Last but not least it’s downstairs to the Butterflies lounge on Deck one. This is where you’ll find the comedy club hosted here most evenings.

Well, that’s it, folks. I hope you enjoyed taking a look at the newly refurbished Carnival Pride . Despite finding the design dark in some places, we did really enjoy the ship and the crew were fantastic.

Carnival Pride Review

We loved the quirkiness of the deck plan layout as it was so different from other ships we’d been on.

So if you are thinking about booking the Pride, I hope this has helped confirm that decision. You won’t be disappointed.

If you’ve been on the Pride, please do let me know in the comments and let me know what your favorite part of the ship was.

The vessel (IMO number 9223954) is currently Panama- flagged (MMSI 354215000) and registered in Colon .

History - construction and ownership

Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) is a US shipping company, trademarked brand and subsidiary of Carnival Corporation (shipowner). CCL was founded in 1972 as an independent company by Ted Arison (1924-1999, co-founder of NCL Norwegian ). Carnival Cruise Lines has the Corporation's largest fleet as both a number of vessels and GT tonnage (ship sizes and capacities). CCL has over 1/5 of the cruise industry's worldwide market.

Carnival Pride cruise ship

The 2100-passenger ship Carnival Pride introduced some significant firsts for the company, including onboard wedding chapels and alternative restaurants. Spirit-class ships also boast an impressive 80% ratio of outside cabins and lots of nice little touches such as 'designer' martinis and museum-quality artwork.

Decks and Cabins

Carnival Pride staterooms (1062 total, in 28 categories) include 50 Suites, 634 Balcony, 171 Oceanview and 215 Inside cabins. The ship has 16 wheelchair-accessible cabins but no Spa cabins. Most cabins are sized 185 ft2 (17 m2). Most cabin balconies are sized 40 ft2 (4 m2). Suites are 4 types (Grand, Vista, Ocean, Junior), the largest are Grand Suites (300 ft2 / 28 m2 plus 115 ft2 / 11 m2 terrace).

The boat has 12 passenger decks of which 6 are with cabins.

Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks

It's surprising that there is only one main restaurant on such a big ship, but the huge stern-located Normandie Restaurant works surprisingly well. With windows on three sides and design which cantilevers the restaurant's upper level over most of the lower one, Normandie somehow manages to baffle the noise of ~1000 cruisers.

For a casual meal, head to Lido Deck which entire back half is occupied by dining tables and various food stations.

The Mermaid Grille also serves as a casual dinner alternative, and Mermaid Bistro is the buffet-style Lido dining option. Instead of offering one buffet line, it divides the stations into small groupings spread around the space and surrounded with tables. Also on Lido Deck and also complimentary are the Guy's Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina.

Carnival Pride has expanded its international offerings by including Bonsai Sushi, which is not just a sushi bar, but an entire Asian restaurant. A really fine dining establishment is the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse (fka David's Steakhouse) at the top of the Atrium and beneath the glass dome. The Steakhouse restaurant is reservations-only and at surcharge per person.

Follows the complete list of Carnival Pride restaurants and food bars.

  • Normandie Restaurant (1250-seat aft Dining Room, with two fixed dinner seatings, or “Your Time Dining”; offers “Seuss At Sea” themed breakfasts for $5; with the Captain’s Club Room restaurant annex).
  • Mermaid’s Grille Lido Buffet Restaurant (1458-seat self-service restaurant with complimentary food stations; operates as dinner bistro in the evenings)
  • Sushi Bar (complimentary)

During drydock 2023, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse replaced David’s Steakhouse (156-seat reservations-only restaurant) serving seafood and prime beef steaks, and featuring a dance floor and stage (for live performances).

Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse (decks 10-11) is a 2-floor premium steakhouse/seafood restaurant at surcharge (reservations recommended) with indoor/outdoor seating and open between 6-9:30 pm. The cover charge fee of $35 pp (adults/kids) includes 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert and gratuity. Steakhouse’s menu has starters (escargots, grilled mushroom, tuna tartare, shrimp cocktail, crab cake, lobster bisque, onion soup), salads (Caesar, spinach/mushrooms, iceberg lettuce, beefsteak tomato), sides (Baked Potatoes, Sauteed Mushrooms, Creamed Spinach, Steamed Broccoli), entrees (prime-aged beef steaks – 14oz NY strip loin, 18oz rib and 18oz ribeye, 9oz filet mignon, lamb chops, chicken, Maine lobster, fish fillet from the market /itinerary based), desserts (cheesecake, caramelized apples, chocolate sampler, fresh fruits, selections of cheeses, sherbets and ice creams). The Steakhouse also serves beverages (bar prices apply) – fresh coffee/tea, dessert wines and after-dinner drinks. The food is wheeled on a cart to your table for examination. A cooking demonstration offers an hour-long presentation from a team of chefs. At the steakhouse can also be made reservations (bookings) for the “Chef’s Table” (private dinner package).

Shipboard entertainment options - Fun and Sport

The liner's onboard collection has artworks of Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Botticelli, as well as architectural details of Ancient Greece, Byzantine Empire, Renaissance Italy, Beaux-Arts France, Victorian England. CCL's long-time interior projector, Joe Farcus, chose “Icons of Beauty” as the vessel's theme: beauty in life, art, architecture, the human body, and the human spirit. The ship has 16 bars and lounges, 4 swimming pools and 4 hot tubs. The well-equipped kids' center Camp Carnival provides complimentary activities, luring families with children of all ages.

During the drydock refurbishment in 2023 (May) were added Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, Carnival Adventures Shop, and Dreams Studio (selling photography-related services and equipment, also used for photo sessions) while the wellness complex (Cloud 9 Spa & Fitness Center) received new equipment. During the drydocking was also added CCL's signature aqua park Carnival Waterworks ( deck 11 ).

Carnival WaterWorks is open between 10 am - 5 pm, and consist of Splash Zone (fountains, water spray cannons, jets, splash pools), a kids pool, two mini racing slides for kids, Power Drencher (150-gallon / 570 liters tipping bucket that reverses poles to dump its huge amount of water at regular intervals), Green Thunder (187 ft / 57 m long thrill slide, water speed 25 mph / 40 kph, with a 34 ft / 10 m long drop), Twister Waterslide (spiraling tube, 214 ft / 65 m long, entrance level /ends on deck 10). Carnival Pride Wiki

Fun Ship 2.0 upgrade was done in 2013. Pride is of CCL-Carnival's Spirit-class liners, with sisterships Legend , Miracle , Spirit , also Costa Atlantica and Costa Mediterranea . The vessel was christened by godmother Tamara Jernigan (Tamara Elizabeth "Tammy" Jernigan) - US scientist, former NASA astronaut (with 5 "Space Shuttle" missions/spending total 1512 hours/63 days in space). The inaugural cruise (maiden voyage) started on January 12, 2002, and up until 2014, Pride's homeport was Baltimore MD .

The ship design theme is "Icons of Beauty" (done by Joe Farcus). The theme is based on beauty in art, beauty in the human body, beauty in the world's architecture, beauty in life as general. The ship has a multi-million dollar artwork collection with numerous pieces on display in public areas. The artworks include Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, Da Vinci, also details of the architecture in Byzantine Empire, Victorian England, Ancient Greece, Italian Renaissance.

On February 5, 2017, the liner was chartered by "Bare Necessities Tour and Travel" for the agency's "Big Nude Boat Cruise". The themed cruise experience was offered on a 9-day roundtrip itinerary from homeport Tampa FL (Feb 5-14) with call ports Key West , Half Moon Cay Island , Grand Turk Island , and Amber Cove (Dominicana) . Passengers attended several pre-scheduled onboard special events, including the “For the Love of Nudism Film Festival”. However, clothing was required when the liner entered a seaport and also during meals.

Fun fact is that this Carnival ship has a namesake - the 2014-launched "HYUNDAI Pride". The vessel is among the world's largest container ships (capacity 13,100 TEU-containers) and operated by Hyundai Merchant Marine .

Red Frog Pub

Red Frog Pub

Get into an island state of mind before you even set foot on one. RedFrog Pub is our laid-back, no-worries, oh-so-lively Key West-inspired pub. Sample Caribbean fare, dominate at the foosball table, enjoy some sweet tunes from live musicians and sip our tasty signature private-label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. So kick back and feel the island vibe come to life. You’ll be a local here before you know it.

Cherry On Top

Cherry On Top

A cruise is the perfect time to treat yourself to something sweet, and Cherry On Top happens to be the perfect place. You'll find this well-stocked candy-and-more-store not only great for enjoying some of your confectionery favorites, but the place to pick up food and apparel gifts for that special someone, even if — admit it — that someone happens to be you!

Serenity

Fresh, tasty, fast and colorful — all the qualities that make the Salad Bar a great place for lunch or dinner. Stock up on your nutrients for the day and top them off with dressings galore at this self-serve veggie-lover’s paradise. Just because it’s good for you doesn’t mean building your own can’t be fun. Mix in some grilled chicken, fresh tuna or stick to the basics with this quick and healthy option.

Blueiguana Tequila bar

Blueiguana Tequila bar

BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favorites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There’s a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). Where can you find this little slice of Mexican paradise? Next to the pool, of course. So stay cool and take in the bar’s vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise – that’s what official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you.

Red Frog Rum Bar

Red Frog Rum Bar

Guests have told us we hit on something special with the cool Caribbean chill of the RedFrog Pub. We've taken the best parts and brought them poolside with the RedFrog Rum Bar, where the frog keeps the fun hopping day and night with all the island flava you know and love. Join the party at this poolside bar featuring a great selection of frog-approved Caribbean rum-based concoctions available by the glass or pitcher, plus plenty of Carnival’s signature private-label draft beer, ThirstyFrog Red.

beauty salon

beauty salon

A trip to the salon is an opportunity to relax, to chat with others, to focus on yourself. It’s about more than just getting your hair or nails done… but it’s definitely about getting your hair or nails done! Even though you’re on vacation, you won’t have to settle for anything less than the salon style you’re used to back on land. And these good looks go beyond the usual — we even offer services like teeth whitening… great for taking those ‘I’m on vacation and I’m looking great!’ smiles to the next level.

Sauna

On a Carnival cruise, the vast and beautiful sea is all around you. You can do all the looking you want from the ship, but sorry — no touching allowed. (We’re sure you’ll understand.) That’s what the thalassotherapy pool at the onboard Cloud 9 Spa is for! Get your sea-water fix and soak completely in it, easily absorbing all the relaxing, rejuvenating benefits of the trace elements and vitamins you’ll find in nature. Oh, and here’s one thing you’ll only find in our special pool: water jets that massage and invigorate. Mother Nature’s great, but she can’t do that.

Steam

Fitness center

Decks: 9 Lido 10 Sun

We have some bad news for you — your ship has a gym. In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. If those were some of your go-to excuses, we’re sorry, but we all know this is important. Why not treat yourself to some of our fitness classes — you might even have a little fun while you do something great for yourself!

Fitness Studio

Fitness Studio

You can have all the will in the world, a great attitude that keeps you working hard at the gym, but still not see the results you’re hoping for. If that’s the case — or you’re just looking to shake things up with a little extra fun or challenge in your workout — check out Carnival’s selection of onboard fitness classes. Whether it’s yoga, pilates, indoor cycling or boot camp, there’s a fitness class that’ll get you the workout you need, and the instruction you need to do it right. Looking for a little extra attention? Look to personal training for a workout with that personal touch.

Jogging Track

Jogging Track

Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. After all, if you’re going to jog, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place to do it with a more scenic view, or a more refreshing breeze — both of these are available in abundance when you go for an open-air jog on the upper-deck. Jogging tracks are available on all Carnival ships, and are even padded for long-distance comfort.

Mini golf

Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... plus one cactus, a treasure chest... and wait, is that a windmill in the way? Just who designed this course anyway? Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds... plus the seagulls.

Carnival Horizon ® Virtual Tour: Take a First Look

By Carnival Cruise Line

No one doubts that a cruise is always a good time. But the excitement of stepping on board and checking out the ship’s cushy staterooms and amenities hits epic proportions when that ship is brand new. So, if you’re already planning your next vacation, it’s time to check out a virtual tour of Carnival’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon ® .

Naturally, Carnival Horizon will deliver all the best tastes, sights, sounds and experiences cruisers have come to love aboard Carnival’s existing fleet of cruise ships . But our newest vessel also introduces some exciting new features and promises an ocean of fun, whether you cruise to the Caribbean , or  The Bahamas .

Here’s just some of what to expect when you take a cruise on board Carnival Horizon:

Fun & Games

Strap in and get ready for a bird’s eye view of the ship—and the ocean—as you zip around the suspended two-lane bike course on Carnival Horizon’s SkyRide ® . It may sound fantastical, but the virtual tour will give you a sneak peek of what it will feel like to fly high above deck.

SportSquare ™ is also where you can work up a sweat as you go through our ropes course  and hit mini-golf at SkyGreens for a hole-in-one. It’s also where to find everything you need to play soccer, basketball, volleyball and ping-pong. For even more healthy competition with your family and friends, head into The Clubhouse for mini-bowling and pool.

Then, when it’s time to cool off, visit one of Carnival Horizon’s flashiest, splashiest features— Dr. Seuss ™ WaterWorks ™ , where Dr. Seuss characters transform the waterpark experience into a delightfully riddle-filled ride, that’s fun for all ages, with The Cat’s Hat slide, Fun Things slide, a tipping top-hat and spray toys galore.

Entertainment Starring… You!

Carnival Horizon’s entertainment lineup continues indoors, where you do more than just watch the action; you’re a part of it all. Warm up to the idea of putting yourself in the picture at Carnival Multiplex featuring IMAX. That’s two movie theaters side by side, one with a towering IMAX screen and the other offering 3-D movies with jump-off-the-screen visuals and multi-sensory effects for a fully immersive experience. Then, with Playlist Productions, you can get your toes tapping and your hands clapping along to the most exuberant musical productions staged at sea. Ready for your own close-up? It’s time to brave Carnival Horizon’s Lip Sync Battle ™ : Carnival , which brings the hit Spike TV series to life, puts you—and your moves—in the spotlight. Looking for a spot to wrap up your evening in true island style? Head to the Havana Bar for a refreshing drink and the rhythmic feel of an old-time Cuban resort.

Time to Unwind

While it’s home to a ton of heart-pumping action, Carnival Horizon also features plenty of ways to take things down a notch—to slow down, kick back, zone out and get Zen. For quiet time without the kids, the Serenity Adult Only Retreat ™ is a peaceful oasis, complete with a chopped salad station (open on sea days), so you can keep your body as healthy as your newly relaxed mind. Also on board is the Cloud 9 Spa ™ , with a full menu of treatments and thermal suites.

Exclusive Flavors

You may be traveling to an island paradise or a dreamy part of the Mediterranean—but you can take your taste buds even further on board Carnival Horizon, thanks to the ship’s juicy lineup of onboard eateries, bars and fine dining restaurants.  Carnival favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina ™ are here, along with specialty dining (for an additional fee) including Bonsai Sushi, JiJi Asian Kitchen ® , Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Cucina Del Capitano ® and Seafood Shack. Traveling with foodies? They’ll love The Chef’s Table—the perfect spot for an intimate chef-guided, multi-course meal. Two restaurants we’re especially excited about are brand new on Carnival Horizon— Bonsai Teppanyaki and the world’s first Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse .

guy’s pig & anchor bar-b-que smokehouse brewhouse on carnival horizon

Bonsai Teppanyaki is another intimate chef-driven dining experience: one part meal, one part performance and totally full of flavor. If you’ve never tried teppanyaki before, our 16-seat restaurant is the place to do it. It’s interactive fun from the first bite to the main course (featuring selections like filet mignon, grilled tofu, fish and lobster) and beyond.

For easy dining in a larger group or if you’re simply craving barbecue deliciousness, put Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse on your agenda. Carnival Horizon is the first place you’ll be able to experience the distinctive new concept from Guy Fieri, featuring the best brisket, sausage, ribs and dry-rubbed chicken—all smoked right aboard the ship. Naturally, they’re paired with mouth-watering sides and exclusive thirst-quenching microbrews—actually brewed at sea!

Sweet Dreams

After all that action, and all those flavors, you’ll need some time to rest and recharge. On board Carnival Horizon, you’ll find some very special staterooms and suites that will have you feeling refreshed in no time. The Havana staterooms and suites—including Havana Cabanas, with extra-large outdoor space and hammock chairs—are like personal, upscale retreats, with exclusive daytime access to the Havana Bar & Pool (rooms and suites are reserved for guests aged 12 and older).  For even more pampering, you may want to opt for a Cloud 9 stateroom to enjoy exclusive room amenities and unlimited access to the spa’s Thermal Suites for no additional charge. Stay in one of these bliss-inducing rooms and you’ll also score priority spa reservations. Families will love the space of the Family Harbor staterooms and suites—not to mention their proximity to the Family Harbor Lounge, serving breakfast and snacks, and filled with board games, video games and family-friendly movies. Of course, Carnival Horizon also has ocean view and balcony staterooms—plus stylish interior staterooms for the best value around.

Curious to see how it all comes together? You can check out the deck plans for Carnival Horizon . Then, when you’re ready to start planning your cruise to the Caribbean or The Bahamas, head on over to the sailings schedule and choose the cruise that suits you best.

Can’t wait to meet our newest ship? Stay tuned to all the latest Carnival Horizon news and we’ll see you on board soon.

Carnival Pride

The charm of Carnival Pride is impeccable. It's a feast for the eyes, a feast for the taste buds...and, of course, a lot of fun. Enjoy the vacation this ship has to offer.

Carnival Pride offers sophisticated dining, from the zen-like simplicity of Bonsai Sushi™ to the Art Deco Ocean Liner-inspired Normandy restaurant to the Renaissance-inspired David's Steakhouse. And, of course, there's real delicious substance behind that style. But if you want to be more casual, loosen your tie or ditch it and grab Captain Guy his fieri entree (and fries) at Guy's Burger Joint™. Mexican hot is an option at the BlueIguana Cantina™, but your next stop is Cherry on Top™, a shop that sells all-sweet candies and more.

Beauties Dance Club gives you plenty of room to move, but Playlist Productions™ makes it difficult to sit still. There are even more ways to cool off around this cruise ship, including Serenity's adults-only pool, a delightful private center pool with a retractable roof, Carnival Pride's onboard water park for a splash, Carnival Waterworks™, and more.

Next to the pool is the big-screen Carnival Seaside Theater™, which is super fun, and Seuss at Sea™ is a fun time for kids who love to tell rhymes. (Like us!) Camp Ocean®, Circle "C"®, Club O2® prove there's a place for cool kids of all ages...and on any cruise, We give everyone a chance to show off their hottest moves in Lip Sync Battle™. Carnival, an intense live show where you can show off your skills on stage. Beauties Dance Club gives you freedom, but Playlist Productions makes it difficult to sit still. There are plenty of ways to cool off, including Serenity's adults-only pool and our delightful private center pool with retractable roof. Then there's the Carnival Waterworks, an on-board water park that's sure to have something for everyone. Next to the pool is a great seaside theater, and Seuss at Sea is a great time for those who love fun rhymes. Camp Carnival, Circle "C" and Club O2 are proving to be hot spots for all cool kids... while Hasbro Game Show brings kids and adults together in a friendly and epic game show showdown. ties.
