Day 01: Arrival Cochin

Depart for Kerala, India our exciting journey to Kerala begins as we board our overnight to Cochin. When you reach Kerala at Cochin and after clearing customs and immigration procedures and collecting our bags we are met and warmly welcomed by The Travel Planners ground staff and transferred to our hotel for immediate check-in. As we drive to our hotel European influences in the architecture of this charming town picturesquely located on several islands squeezed between the Arabian Sea and the Kerala backwaters are instantly apparent. Reflecting the maritime history of Kochi, the old buildings are a blend of Dutch, Portuguese, and British architecture. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Cochin - Munnar [140 Km /Approx. 4 Hrs]

Morning drive to Munnar covering a distance of 130 kms / 4 hrs enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. We went there on 25th evening at suryenili base camp from where they took us with a jeep to the camping sight which took around half n hour or so. After having delicious brekfast whuch have 3 tyoes of fruits, grams,tea, bread slices, idli n all..it was really Delicious, After having brekfast v again started our journey to base camp..n in d mean while each n every sight r justs eye capturing. On the way you can enjoy the beauty of Neriamangalam bridge which is built in 1935. The other sightseeing on the way to Munnar from cochin are Cheeyappara & Valara waterfalls, Karadipara view point etc. Check in the hotel and relax for the day.

Day 3 - Munnar : After breakfast, proceed for Munnar full day sightseeing. You can visit Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi, Pothamedu View Point, The Blossom International Park, Tea Museum, Attukad Waterfalls, Top Station, Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, Photo point, Lockhart Gap View, Chokramudi Peak, Munnar View Point etc. Evening back to resort and enjoy campfire and delicious dinner.

Day 4 - Munnar : Enjoy delicious breakfast from Munnar resort. Tody you can either go for Munnar sightseeing tour or relax in the resort premises. There will be lots of fun activities in the resort for adults and kids. If you wish to go for sightseeing tour you can consider Carmelagiri Elephant Park, Munnar Jeep Safari, The Blossom International Park, Dream Land Fun and Adventure, Eravikulam National Park etc. Over night stay at Munnar.

Day 5 - Thekkady : Enjoy your breakfast from Munnar resort and proceed to Thekkady, which is 85 KM away and approximate travel time is 3 hours. On arrival at Thekkady, check in the hotel, enjoy your lunch and relax. Afternoon proceed for Periyar lake boating. Periyar lake boating online booking is possible through KTDC website. If time permits, go for Thekkady plantation tour and back to resort late evening.

Day 6 - Kumarakom : Enjoy delicious breakfast from Thekkady hotel and proceed to Kumarakom, which is 121 KM away and approximate travel time is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Check in the hotel and enjoy the delicious sea food lunch. Relax for some time around resort premises and evening go for a short boat trip through Vembanad lake Kumarakom. During the trip you can enjoy sun set and beauty of lake. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 - Alleppey Houseboat : Enjoy your delicious breakfast from Kumarakom resort checkout and proceed to Kumarakom bird sanctuary. Around 11.30 AM proceed to Alleppey houseboat which is 35 KM away and approximate travel time is 30 minutes. Check in the houseboat around 12 noon. Now its the time for relaxation and enjoyment. Around 1.30 PM, delicious lunch will be served in the Alleppey houseboat.

Day 8 - Varkala / Kovalam / Poovar Beach : One hour house boat cruise in the morning, have your breakfast and proceed to Varkala / Kovalam / Poovar Beach as per your preference. Check in the hotel around 2 PM and enjoy your lunch. Alleppey houseboat to Varkala beach distance is 107 KM and travel time is 3 hours. Kovalam is 162 KM away and travel time is 4 hours. Poovar beach is 176 KM away and travel time is 4.20 hours.

Day 9 - Varkala / Kovalam / Poovar Beach : Get up early in the morning and enjoy the beauty of the sunrise on the beach and back to the hotel for your breakfast. Now its the time for some local sightseeing near Varkala / Kovalam / Poovar. You can enjoy your lunch from outside. In the afternoon come back to the hotel and relax for some time. Visit the famous Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St.Francis church, Chinese fishing net, etc the major attraction of tourist in Cochin. These are major attraction that holds attention of tourists in Cochin.

Day 2 - Munnar : Gets up and get ready early, after breakfast at Cochin hotel we will transfer you to Munnar (140 Kms / 04 Hrs). Throughout the journey enjoy beautiful streams small water falls, Rubber, Pepper cardamom and Tea plantations and thick forests, God has blessed his own country with incomparable beauty on arrival at Munnar check in to hotel. Evening enjoy the fire camp and dinner. Overnight stay will be provide in Munnar hotel.

Day 3 - Munnar : After breakfast we take you for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar which will give you an un forgettable mental pleasure by covering Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary, home of Nilgiry Thar( very rare mountain goat), considering the ecological faunal, floral, geo- morphological and zoological significant & Tea Plantation. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 - Thekkady : Proceed to Periyar or Thekkady (95 kms & 3 hrs drive). A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular waterfalls & delightful trekking trails form the access to your hide way here. On arrival check into the hotel, refresh yourself & be relaxed. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat.Spice plantation visit will be a good idea.Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 5 - Kumarakom : After breakfast checks out from Hotel and we drive down to Kumarakom (145 Kms / 4 Hrs). This scenic village with cluster of Small Island attracts large number of tourists for Kerala tours. On arrival visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is home to water bird as well as migratory birds. It is also referred as Ornithologist's Paradise. In the evening enjoy the Sunset Curise. Dinner and overnight say will be at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 6 - Houseboat : After breakfast check out from Hotel and we drive down to Alleppey (33 Kms / 1 Hrs). On arrival check in at houseboat. Rest of the day relax on the Houseboat and enjoy its natural beauty. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals. Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and enjoy your evening on the sundeck away form polluted cities and towns and maddening crowd . Overnight stay on House Boat.

Day 7 - Kovalam : Morning at leisure on House Boat experience the scenic vistas and the virgin beauty of the nature at its best. After a good breakfast check out from houseboat and we transfer you to Kovalam (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs) this journey is through costal areas with coconut trees and view of lagoons and palm fringed Arabian Sea. On arrival at Kovalam, check into the pre-booked hotel for refreshment and dinner. Rest of the day enjoy at leisure enjoying the panoramic view of the sea.

Day 8 - Kovalam : After early morning breakfast enjoy the full day sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Visit to Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, and Sri Padmanabhapuram Temple and in the afternoon relax at on the beach for leisure activities.
