7 best Mexico cruises 2024

Melinda Crow

Editor's note: This guide has been updated with the latest information.

Cruises to Mexico have an appeal that's hard to match.

Pacific Coast itineraries cover both Baja California (with stops in Ensenada), and the area farther south considered the Mexican Riviera (featuring the ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta). Where else can you spend the morning whale watching from a small boat, followed by an afternoon of shopping or enjoying authentic Mexican cuisine?

The ports on Mexico's eastern coast are often lumped together with other Central American ports or island destinations on Western Caribbean cruises . Do a bit of digging, and you can find three- to five-night cruises from Galveston, Texas; New Orleans; and Mobile, Alabama, that visit only Mexican ports, including Cozumel, Costa Maya and Progreso.

Beaches and water sports, as well as eating and drinking, are the primary attractions on cruises to Mexico. Both coasts offer ample opportunity to play in the sun and sand. The best Mexico cruises have lengthy port stops that provide plenty of time to explore, plus time on board the ship to relax and decompress.

You might even be able to cruise to Mexico without a passport if your cruise begins and ends in the same U.S. port.

So, what's the best cruise to Mexico? Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line run year-round cruises from the Los Angeles area and Galveston ports, while Princess Cruises, Holland America , Norwegian Cruise Line , Celebrity Cruises and Disney Cruise Line offer seasonal cruises to Mexico from the West Coast.

Occasionally, you can find luxury cruises to the Mexican Riviera on lines like Silversea and Regent Seven Seas . American Queen Voyages and UnCruise Adventures offer unique small-ship opportunities to cruise Mexican ports on both coasts.

3-night Baja cruise on Carnival Radiance

luxury cruises mexico

Carnival Radiance gets the nod for having a year-round schedule of short escapes to Mexico.

Carnival Cruise Line 's west coast Mexico cruises sail from the port of Long Beach, which is a fun destination in its own right, with beaches, water sports and the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Carnival Radiance (formerly Carnival Victory) underwent a complete refit in 2021, adding a dedicated comedy club, top-deck water attractions and the first-ever chicken joint from Shaquille O'Neal, aptly named Big Chicken .

The ship goes to Ensenada and back with one fun day at sea. Water sports and whale watching in winter are among the top activities in Ensenada for Carnival cruisers. For a local lunch in port, order fish tacos; Ensenada claims to have invented the dish. Some also claim Ensenada is the original home of the margarita. Drink enough of those, and it won't matter if it's true or not. If margaritas aren't your thing, there are popular wineries in port worth checking out.

Who should go : It's no secret that Carnival's Fun Ships are known as party ships. This short hop to Mexico is ideal for residents of the Western states looking for an escape any time of year. The ship's atmosphere is enthusiastic and fun, which spills into Ensenada on the single port day of the cruise.

4-night Baja cruise with Catalina Island on Disney Wonder

luxury cruises mexico

Disney Wonder is one of Disney Cruise Line 's oldest and smallest ships, carrying only 2,700 passengers. However, it's packed with Disney adventures, including a musical stage production of "Frozen," character meet-ups and the most family-friendly cabins at sea. Wonder sails to Mexico from San Diego during the fall and winter.

Not every four-night cruise on Wonder includes Catalina Island, but if you can snag one that does, it's a huge bonus of family fun. Activities in the port of Avalon on Catalina include an amazing zip-line course of five lines. Soaring along the island's hillsides 600 feet above the beaches below, the adventure course takes over two hours to complete.

If your crew isn't into highspeed zipping, try a backcountry bison expedition or a relaxing day at the beach. Catalina is a charming island with a European feel, memorable food and a fascinating history. The second port on the itinerary is Ensenada, where the wildlife-watching or beach fun can continue.

Who should go: Disney Wonder is an ideal ship for family cruise travel from the West Coast. Features include the Marvel Superhero Academy inside the Disney Oceaneer Club, the activity space for kids. You'll have family-friendly accommodations on board, most with split bathrooms (one with toilet and sink, the other with bath-shower combo and sink). Parents have plenty of opportunities to enjoy a night out without the kids, dining at the adults-only Palo specialty restaurant or sampling an adult beverage at the After Hours entertainment district.

5-night Mexico cruise with Cabo overnight on Majestic Princess

luxury cruises mexico

Princess Cruises ' Majestic Princess is one of the largest ships that seasonally visits Mexico from Los Angeles. The vessel, which was originally built for the Chinese market, has been Americanized, but it still features some nods that include upscale onboard shopping boutiques like Coach and Bulgari, plus a relaxing enclosed top-deck lounge with gathering spaces and faux topiaries.

The ship sails five-night voyages that offer overnights in Cabo San Lucas. There are also some sea days mixed in.

After all those other cruise ships say adios to Cabo, cruisers on board Majestic Princess can explore the city's nightlife. Street taco tour, anyone? Tequila flights? How else can you enjoy late-night freshly fried churros on a street corner?

Who should go: This cruise is for anyone who enjoys exploring port cities more in-depth than what's offered by a standard port call and who appreciates less of a party atmosphere. Daytime activities in Cabo include sport fishing, wildlife watching, boat rides, camel rides, kayaking, parasailing and snorkeling. Add in evening tasting tours, and you're set.

6- and 7-night Mexico cruises plus Roatan on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas

luxury cruises mexico

Royal Caribbean' s Harmony of the Seas is one of the largest vessels ever to sail from Galveston, and there's a shiny new terminal designed to handle the behemoth.

Part of the line's Oasis Class , which includes the world's largest cruise ships, Harmony of the Seas carries 5,479 passengers at double occupancy. The ship features an open-air AquaTheater at its aft for high-diving and acrobatic shows, an ice skating rink, some of the most extravagant Royal Caribbean suites across the fleet and a park with live plants in the center of the ship.

There are several variations for sailings of both durations, but both offer ample beach time at Cozumel and Costa Maya, plus a third stop in Roatan, Honduras. The rest of the trip is all about fun on the ship as you cruise the Gulf waters for two to three sea days, depending on itinerary length.

Who should go: A Mexico cruise on Harmony of the Seas is ideal for big-ship lovers. Inexpensive flights into Houston's two airports make it accessible to at least a dozen central U.S. states. And for Texans who can drive to the port in less than a day, the fun of a beach day on Galveston Island before or after the cruise makes this sailing an easy choice.

7-night Mexican Riviera cruise on Carnival Panorama

luxury cruises mexico

Carnival Panorama is loaded with Carnival-style fun. From a jaw-dropping, nail-biting ropes course high above the decks to waterslides and an indoor trampoline park, this ship is a crash course in playtime. The seven-night itineraries sail from Long Beach and include all the main western Mexico ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, where the ship stays into the evening hours.

With three sea days, cruisers have plenty of time to enjoy the ship. The best part is that this floating thrill ride cruises this itinerary year-round.

Who should go: It's a great choice for families with tweens and teens because so many of the onboard activities are geared to them. Couples sailing without kiddos can enjoy adults-only areas like the Serenity sun deck retreat, a plush Cloud 9 Spa and Havana staterooms with their exclusive pool deck.

7-Night Expedition to Baja California with UnCruise

luxury cruises mexico

UnCruise Adventures does Mexico with an entirely different approach to cruising.

Leave the party ships and the thrill rides behind for an expedition adventure aboard the 66-passenger Safari Voyager. The ship sails from La Paz, Mexico, between January and June, taking passengers in search of gray whales, whale sharks, rays and an amazing variety of sea life, as well as wildlife on dry land.

Activities include kayaking, Zodiac boat rides, snorkeling, hiking and, of course, downtime at the beach. Safari Explorer is somewhat basic in its amenities. You can expect cabins that are quite cozy, but ample public space on deck to watch for sealife and meet your fellow passengers.

UnCruise fares include all meals, excursions, equipment, beverages (including alcohol) and airport transfers, leaving you free to enjoy the adventure.

Who should go: This cruise is for physically fit adults and families with kids ages 8-17 seeking adventure in the wilds and waters of Baja, California.

7-night Mexican Riviera cruise on Discovery Princess

luxury cruises mexico

When Princess Cruises' newest ship isn't in Alaskan waters, it can be found cruising to the Mexican Riviera from the Los Angeles port at San Pedro.

The seven-night itinerary includes Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, plus three sea days to enjoy the ship, which carries 3,660 guests. Discovery Princess brings a bit of elegance to the Riviera, with afternoon tea and the ability to order the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast to your cabin's private veranda (for an additional charge).

While Discovery Princess is similar to most Princess ships in design and decor, it has something no other ship in the fleet has — two Sky Suites. Each suite has two bedrooms and a luxurious 1,000-square-foot balcony for unrivaled views.

Who should go: This is the best Mexico cruise for those seeking Princess' relaxed upscale mode of cruising. Children are always welcome on Princess, and there are plenty of connecting rooms and cabin options with third and fourth bunks. Though the ship offers a youth program, don't expect waterslides and thrill rides. The vibe on board is low-key, and the average age is a bit older when compared to Royal Caribbean or Carnival.

Bottom line

The best cruises to Mexico are the ones that suit your travel personality. Whether you're looking for a party atmosphere or adventure, there's a ship waiting to take you to Mexico any time of year.

Focus your search on round-trip itineraries from major ports in Los Angeles, San Diego and Galveston. You'll also find options for cruises to Mexico from San Francisco, New Orleans and even Mobile, Alabama.

The Best Cruises to Mexico for Every Traveler

Cruise in Zihuatanejo Mexico

Whether it's world-class diving, white sandy beaches, or Mayan ruins you’re after, a cruise to Mexico can get you there in comfort and style.

Set sail from the West Coast to experience the beaches and nightlife of Cabo San Lucas , stroll the boardwalk in Mazatlan, or dig your toes into the sand in Puerto Vallarta. For diving and Mayan ruins, opt to cruise Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Dive into the deep blue water in Cozumel, walk a beach free of high-rise hotels in Costa Maya, or walk in the footsteps of the ancient Mayans in Tulum .

Several major cruise lines serve these routes with decked-out ships that offer something for everyone. Sprawling pools, thumping dance clubs, and fresh margaritas are just the beginning.

This is the domain of large cruise ships, but there are a few smaller vessels—like American Queen Voyages’ Ocean Navigator —that cruise to Mexico .

Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line sail to Mexico from the West Coast year-round. Three Carnival ships—the Carnival Miracle , Carnival Panorama, and Carnival Residence — cruise to Mexico from Los Angeles and San Francisco. Norwegian Cruise Line sails to Mexico from California, Florida, and New Orleans.

Princess Cruises, Holland America, Disney Cruise Line, and Celebrity Cruises sail to Mexico seasonally. While Mexico is warm year-round, you’ll find the most pleasant temperatures—and some of the best prices— between November through February. Mexico’s rainy season is from May through November, but expect bursts of showers instead of washouts. Hurricane season is between June and November, and while hurricanes don't always make landfall, the rains they bring can put a damper on even the best-planned beach day.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, and whenever it is you’re looking to set sail, there’s a cruise to Mexico that’s sure to feel tailor-made for you.

Best short cruise to Mexico

In just three nights, Royal Caribbean's  Navigator of the Seas sails from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico, and back.  The itinerary includes a full day at sea—plenty of time to take a few laps around the ship’s ice skating rink, spend a few hours at the spa, try out the longest water slide at sea and catch a show. Of course, you could just spend your entire sea day lounging around on the pool deck eating Johnny Rockets and sipping on colorful cocktails. If you’ve got a little bit more time, opt for a four-night itinerary. Royal Caribbean offers two four-night itineraries on the  Navigator of the Seas . One adds a stop at idyllic Catalina Island. The other spends additional time in Ensenada.

Best weeklong cruise to Mexico

There may be no better way to bliss out than by sailing the  Norwegian Bliss along the Mexican Riviera. Sail roundtrip from Los Angeles, stopping in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Ensenada, Mexico. Spend port days visiting tequila factories, wineries and endless sandy beaches. Or opt for an adventurous 4x4 ride, snorkeling, kayaking or an idyllic horseback ride. On board the ship, you’ll have your choice of 19 restaurants, 20 bars, and plenty of things to do. The  Norwegian Bliss made its debut in 2018, and its entertainment offerings include a two-level  racetrack , Broadway shows, laser tag, mini golf and a casino. The ship has a private 18 and over beach club and a spa with both a salt room and a snow room.

Best family cruise to Mexico

There is so much to do on board the  Carnival Radiance your family might not want to leave the ship on port days. The  Carnival Radiance has a water park, a ropes course, mini golf, sports courts, and a kids club that accommodates ages two to 17. There’s also a teen spa, video arcade and enough room to play soccer, basketball, and volleyball on board. With more than a dozen restaurants, there’s something for even the most discerning junior palate. There’s even a green eggs and ham breakfast to go with a Seuss at Sea experience inspired by the famous author’s books.

Cuadro 44 Restaurant Deck 6 Midship Portside.Star Breeze Windstar Cruises

Windstar Star Legend's Cuadro 44 Restaurant

Best small ship cruise to Mexico

You could cruise to Mexico on a mega-ship. Or you could opt for a calmer, quieter, more yacht-like experience on Windstar Cruises’  Star Legend . This all-suite yacht boasts cabins that are nearly 300 square feet. The ship is fresh off a major renovation with a new spa, pool, and fitness center. Every bathroom on board has gotten a makeover and comes stocked with L’Occitane toiletries. The  Star Legend is scheduled to set sail from Miami in the spring. Windstar's  Jungles and Jewels of the Central American Coast itinerary sails roundtrip from Miami, stoppings in Key West en route to Cozumel and Costa Maya. But Mexico is just the beginning. Windstar’s  Star Legend also calls on Belize City, Belize, and Roatan, Honduras, giving passengers plenty of chances to go on an unforgettable dive, immerse themselves in ancient ruins or simply soak up the sunshine.

Best cruise to the Yucatan Peninsula

Mega ships aren’t the only vessels that cruise to Mexico . American Queen Voyages’  Ocean Navigator is less than one-tenth of the size of the behemoth ships sailing the region. The ship can accommodate just over 200 passengers and feels more like a river cruise ship than an ocean-going vessel. Restaurant and bar choices are limited, but that might not matter much when you’re sipping margaritas and snacking on molletes at the beach. The  Ocean Navigator ’s Mexico itineraries visit seven ports in 10 days, giving passengers the chance to dive into Cozumel’s deep blue water, explore Chichen Itza’s Mayan ruins, and sip on margaritas in Cancun. This isn’t the kind of ship that parties all night, but that should make it easier to wake up for gorgeous sunrises. The price of this all-inclusive cruise includes food, drinks, room service, Wi-Fi, pre-paid gratuities, port fees, and taxes.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises Seven Seas Grandeur

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Grandeur

Best luxury cruise to Mexico

There may be few more luxurious ways to arrive in Cabo San Lucas than on board Regent’s new  Seven Seas Grandeur . The cruise line's  Magic on the Mexican Riviera itinerary is scheduled to sail round trip from Los Angeles in late 2024, calling on ports including Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, and Puerto Vallarta. The 10-night journey includes three luxurious days of cruising the Pacific Ocean. Spend your sea days lounging around your spacious suite, playing bocce ball or shuffleboard or relaxing by the pool bar. The ship's suites range in size from 307 to 4,443 square feet. Each comes with a private balcony, and there may be no better place on board to enjoy your morning coffee with a view. Cruise fares on Regent Seven Seas include roundtrip business class intercontinental flights, unlimited shore excursions, unlimited beverages, specialty restaurants, and gratuities.

Best cruise to the Mexican Riviera

If you’re looking to touch grass at sea and sample the best of the Mexican Riviera, the  Celebrity Solstice is for you. This ship is home to a half acre of real green grass and sails from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. This is a ship with a cool vibe, a sophisticated feel, and lots of fun things to do on board. Try a cocktail-making class or a wine-blending class. Or catch a glass-blowing show on the grass. The ship is also home to more than 200 solar panels and generates some of its own electricity.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Mexico Cruises Insider

Mexico is ready for you to explore at any time of year. In general, the weather is best between December and April — there's little rain, and the temperatures are very comfortable. The wet season starts in May and ends in October, while hurricane season (affecting mostly the Caribbean side) starts in June and runs until November.

When you travel to Mexico, one of the best ways to enjoy the country is by immersion. Try the local food, shop the local markets, and choose excursions that allow you to spend time getting to know a specific neighborhood, historic site or natural wonder.

Learn a few phrases in Spanish and speak to waiters, vendors, tour guides and everyday people. Ask about places to eat, the history or the music. Get out of your comfort zone and reach out to the people who know the country best — they can let you know where to go for the best price on that souvenir you're seeking or which beachside spot makes the best margarita.

On a cruise to Mexico with Princess, you won’t just vacation — you’ll learn about the country’s history, discover its traditions, taste its unique flavor and meet its people.

Fiesta & Flavor

Sweet and spicy

In partnership with Bill Esparza, a James Beard Award Winner, our culinary excursions introduce you to the region’s bold flavors. With Mexican culture infused into every menu, experience the country from scratch. Taste rare spirits alongside a chef in Puerto Vallarta, and learn how these liquors travel from field to glass. Or prepare salsa and margaritas alongside a local in Cabo — only on a Mexico cruise with Princess.

Fun & Adventure

Answer adventure's call

Zipline through the lush rainforests of Puerto Vallarta. Snorkel alongside sea lions off the coast of La Paz. Or embark on a deep sea fishing adventure in Loreto for a chance to reel in treasures from the sea. Those looking for a more relaxing day in the sun can unwind on the beaches of Manzanillo or watch the migration of whales near Cabo. Adventure awaits on a cruise to Mexico.

Culture & History

Memoirs of Mexico

Culture is the heartbeat of Mexico. Cruise to La Paz and visit a pottery factory, or head downtown to shop for artisan gifts — like hand-crafted jewelry, woven gifts and decorations. Tour a coffee plantation in Puerto Vallarta, and enjoy a prepared lunch on the grounds. Or spend a full day exploring Colima, a short drive from Manzanillo, where 200-year old ruins of the Pyramids of La Campana whisper secrets of times past.

Mexico cruise excursions

From a private beach getaway at Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta to salsa-making in Cabo, find expertly crafted shore excursions suited for any guest when you cruise to Mexico. In Mazatlan, tour one of the country’s most popular breweries. Swim alongside the largest fish in the ocean, the whale shark, while in La Paz. Or relax and recharge with your loved ones at one of Mexico’s finest resorts in Manzanillo.

More ashore

Enjoy extra time on land with our More Ashore program — offering a variety of overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas and La Paz on certain itineraries — and explore more of Mexico. Cruise through the Sea of Cortez, considered to be the “Aquarium of the World”, as well as the Islands and Protected Areas of the Gulf of California, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the surrounding landscapes with the golden sunset as your backdrop on our Mexico cruises.

Local connections

Meet the personalities that call these lands home on shore excursions exclusive to Princess when you cruise to Mexico. Learn about the traditions of the Aztec people during a tequila tasting with a local Puerto Vallarta restaurateur. Or meet one of Mazatlan’s most famous chefs, Diego Becerra, and spend the afternoon in his seafood bar, Compañia Minera. Sample ceviche, local craft beer and cocktails.

Mexico Cruises Onboard Experience

Experience the country’s unique character the second you step on the ship with traditional Mexican cuisine, events and activities.

Mariachi and margaritas

Sip, savor and sway to the music with onboard activities that give you a taste of Mexican tradition. Sample tequila while learning about the drink’s history from a local expert, and indulge your taste buds with tacos and fajitas. Or let loose with your loved ones during a mariachi performance, and dance to the lively tune of violins and guitars. On a cruise to Mexico with Princess, activities lie around every corner.

Every reason to celebrate

On select sailings in October and November, discover the region’s heritage with our Mexican Fiesta. Celebrate the Day of the Dead, a holiday to commemorate loved ones who have passed. From face-painting to Aztec flower-making, there are activities for the whole family on a cruise to Mexico. Learn a traditional dance, decorate marzipan skulls and make a skeleton out of pasta. Or watch dancers perform ‘The Procession of the Dead.’

Mexican and Spanish Cuisine

Famous for a reason

Recognized by UNESCO for its cultural heritage and preservation of culinary technique, Mexican and Spanish cuisine is a big part of the region’s culture. Sample the bold flavors and creative combinations for yourself on a cruise to Mexico with Princess. In many of our dining rooms, enjoy Mexican-themed dishes — like ceviche, fajitas and coconut cocadas — for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Luxury Mexico Cruises

Journey into tropical paradise on a luxury Mexico cruise where endless treasures await. It is truly an enchanting destination with white sand beaches, jaw-dropping sunsets, glamorous beach towns and mouthwatering cuisine. Climb ancient Mayan temples for views across the jungle or swim in the glimmering sea of Banderas Bay. Mexico is a destination to be ticked off the bucket list.

Live your best beach life

The island of Cozumel is located off the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula and used to be a haven for pirates waiting for the Spanish galleons to stop by in the winter months. These days it is famed for the powdery beaches, tropical climate and clear waters. No luxury Mexico cruise is complete without snorkeling among the preserved coral reefs and admiring the unblemished beauty of one of Mexico’s most popular destinations. While plentiful in sunshine, Cozumel is home to some recently excavated Mayan ruins. Explore the ruin of El Cedral or the lagoon aquarium of Xel-Ha.

Cabo San Lucas is situated where the desert collides with the ocean and produces postcard worthy pictures. Located at the southern tip of of the incredible Baja peninsula, this place attracts everyone from nature lovers to Hollywood stars. Go tequila tasting in the fishing villages before catching the sunset at El Arco, a magnificent rock formation.

Matazlan is known as the ‘Pearl of the Pacific’. With long stretches of golden beaches lined with chic restaurants, it’s a place for glamour and luxury. Stroll the cobblestone streets, through a maze of pastel buildings and flower-filled plazas, to experience the colurful culture of Matazlan.

Picture this… relaxing on the beach in Banderas Bay with a margarita, after hiking along the trails of the Sierra Madre mountain range. This is all possible in Puerto Vallarta. A town which effortlessly blends sleepy fishing villages with luxurious resort towns and boho, chic shops in Olas Altas. If you prefer more of an active relaxation, take a trip to Ensenada, home to the largest production of wine in Mexico. Here you can take part in vineyard tours through the wine country or delve in to the hustle and bustle of the exciting city.

Our experts say

Mexico is a destination I’d always go back to! It is a place that’s suitable for everyone, from couples and partygoers to families and culture vultures. I spent lazy days by the beach, spent a day on a speed boat spotting crocodiles in the lagoons and had a great night at Coco Bongos. I would highly recommend swimming with dolphins in Isla Mujeres. Must-Sees - Mexico

The difficulty of going on a cruise to Mexico is choosing between the west or the east of the country. On one side, you have the islands of the Sea of Cortez and their rich ecosystems. On the other, the treasures of the ancient Mayan cities on the Yucatán peninsula. Whatever your final destination, here are some of the most emblematic places, not to be missed during your stopovers.

UNESCO natural heritage sites - The Sea of Cortez

During your Mexican cruise, you'll notice that a multitude of islands line the coast along the Gulf of California. These 244 islands and protected areas were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2005. Among them, the volcanic and wild Coronado Island is home to extremely rich biodiversity. A few kilometres away, the Espíritu Santo and La Partida twin islands, only accessible by boat, offer contrasting landscapes between the steep cliffs and turquoise bays.

Meet the wildlife - The Sea of Cortez

Meet the wildlife - The Sea of Cortez

The region's wildlife is also emblematic at Los Islotes , where a colony of California sea lions lives. Several hundred have taken up residence on these small islands with red basalt cliffs. They're not very shy and don't mind being approached, which swimmers and travellers aboard Zodiacs® will love. In the Huatulco bays , dolphins and manta rays enliven this splendid setting. Cliffs and lush palm trees roll all the way to the white sandy beaches from the mountains of the Sierra Madre. This is one of the most fabulous landscapes to be seen in Mexico.

Bahia de Loreto Marine National Park - The Sea of Cortez

Bahia de Loreto Marine National Park - The Sea of Cortez

Created in 1996, the Bahia de Loreto National Park extends over 2,000 km2 in the heart of the Sea of Cortez. What's so special about it? Its astonishingly diverse of landscapes: cliffs, underwater canyons, raised beaches, mangroves, etc. On Montserrat Island , also classified as a UNESCO heritage site, the rocks make way for fine sandy beaches and translucent waters. On the coast, to the south of the park, is the aptly-named Puerto Agua Verde , where the water is tinged with shades of dazzling green and blue.

The cenotes - Yucatán

The cenotes - Yucatán

These amazing geological formations, chasms mixing bewitching shades of blue and green and light contrasts, are fascinating emblems of Yucatán. Their name comes from the Mayan word "dz'onot", meaning 'sacred well'. They were so important in pre-Columbian civilization that they inspired the name of the famous site of Chichén Itzá , 'Chi' being translated as 'mouth', 'Chén' as 'well' and 'Itzá' as 'water sorcerer'. Sorcery seems to be the only possibility when we try to solve their mysteries. During your Mexican cruise, visit the Chaak Tun cenote , where the pure water reflects the imposing shadows of the stalactites and hanging vines.

Palenque - Yucatán

Palenque - Yucatán

Considered the most beautiful Mayan site in Mexico, the ancient city of Palenque appears as a mirage in the heart of the tropical jungle of Chiapas. Its remains plunge the visitor into the heart of Mayan civilization and the questions it left unanswered. Founded in 100 BC, the city flourished for a millennium to become one of the most important cities of the pre-Columbian era, with a complex agricultural and commercial network. Impressive temples, spectacular tombs, majestic palaces, and priceless works of art still reflect Palenque's importance in a world that remains enigmatic for researchers.

Tulum - Yucatán

Tulum - Yucatán

Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayans up to the 15th century, even after the arrival of the conquistadors. Located on the edge of a six kilometre cliff facing the Caribbean Sea, this fortified city was located at the crossroads of maritime and land trade routes. Hence the economic, religious and cultural importance it has held in the region. The temples, altars, Castillo, residential buildings and frescoes all confirm Tulum's appeal. Abandoned during the 16th century, today it's one of the most emblematic sites, which you certainly shouldn't miss when travelling to Yucatán.

Dos. Mexican people are very considerate. In conversation, make sure you incorporate expressions of politeness. It is customary to shake someone's hand when you meet them. It is normal for male friends to hug. Women air-kiss each other on the cheek. Don'ts. Don't be surprised if appointments are not kept punctually. It's normal to arrive 15 to 30 minutes late. Don't get annoyed if a Mexican person does not mean it when they say yes. It's simply a cultural trait that Mexicans find it difficult to say no.

Pelota was a ceremonial sport practised by pre-Columbian civilisations. This ball game is still played today. Two teams compete to get a rubber ball through a stone ring. The ball can't touch the floor. Players are not allowed to use their hands or lower legs to pass the ball. They can therefore use knees, elbows, hips...and bottoms!

Book. Like Water for Chocolate , Laura Esquival, Gallimard, 2009. Set in early 20th-century Mexico at a time when a revolutionary storm was sweeping through the country, Tita risks a series of obstacles to live out her forbidden passion for Pedro, with whom she has long been in love. Every chapter of the unfolding plot opens with a recipe (usually Mexican), which gives the writing a particular flavour. In fact, Tita has some strange culinary talents: when she's at the stove, her mood spills out into the dishes she prepares, and then into those eating the food. In ' I'll sell you a dog ', Juan Pablo Viollalobos paints a picture of the elderly residents of a building in Mexico City through Teo, the main character. The 78-year-old man relates his memories over and over again, and they change depending on how he's feeling at the time. It's a modern-day story, full of good humour and empathy towards the colourful characters.

Music. Pirekua is the traditional song of P’urhépecha communities, and is sung with one, two or three voices. It can be accompanied by wind or string instruments and by choirs. Its style varies by region, and is influenced by African, European and Amerindian music. It was placed on UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010.

Film. Frida (Julie Taymor, 2002) is a vibrant biopic of the Mexican painter Frida Khalo (played by Salma Hayek) depicting the despondency she felt as well as her great moments of inspiration, and her tumultuous relationship with the painter Diego Rivera.

Myths & legends

The quetzall is the emblem of Yucatan. According to legend, this little green, white, and red bird sang its song up until the Spanish conquest. It has been silent since that time. The bird will start singing again the day the Earth is free from violence.

700 . This is the number of cactus species listed in Mexico. They are present in 50% of the territory. Cactus is a dish enjoyed by Mexicans, who are the only people in the world to eat it. It's also renowned for its medicinal properties. Nopal, the most popular plant, is used in particular against diabetes.

TripAdvisor

If there's one thing Mexico has in abundance, it's fabulous all-inclusive resorts. From the rugged Baja peninsula to the mountainous Pacific and the idyllic Caribbean coast, Mexico is blessed with thousands of hotels. You won't have a difficult time finding an all-inclusive, adults-only resort in Mexico. Choosing one, however, is a different story.

Fortunately, I am here to help. In my 15 years covering Mexico, I have stayed at a dizzying amount of resorts in the country and can help you decide which is right for you. Selecting the right all-inclusive, adults-only resort for your Mexico vacation comes down to a few factors. What is most important to you? Is it the location? Is a beachfront a requirement? Are there enough restaurant options? Is the vacation for romance or fun with friends? No matter the vibe you're chasing, Mexico is guaranteed to have an adults-only, all-inclusive resort to match.

Our picks for the best all-inclusive, adults-only resorts in Mexico came down to a combination of T+L award winners and properties I have personally visited and loved. We chose these hotels based on standout service, notable amenities, range of activities, and delicious food and beverage options. No matter which resort you choose, you'll be enjoying all-inclusive, child-free luxury in one of the best vacation destinations in the world.

Atelier Playa Mujeres

Also available to book at Booking.com

A gorgeous boho-chic design and a lengthy list of restaurants and bars.

Guest rooms may be loud for the noise-sensitive.

The adults-only Atelier Playa Mujeres is six years old, but it's still turning quite a few heads. This luxe, 593-key resort found its way onto T+L's 2023 World's Best list, and we love it for its spacious suites — entry-level rooms are 742 square feet, while the top-level Inspira Suite is a palatial 3,000 square feet. If you can pry yourself away from the oceanfront views and fluffy, cloud-like beds, you'll have 13 restaurants and 12 bars to explore. You'll swoon over the 14,000-square-foot pool; other top-tier amenities include the 18-hole golf course, triplex spa, and state-of-the-art fitness center.

The Details:

  • Closest airport: Cancun International Airport (CUN)
  • Included with rate: Meals, drinks, access to amenities, Wi-Fi, minibar, 24-hour in-room dining, tips, parking, and more
  • Standout amenity: A 14,000-square-foot pool
  • Starting rate: $548

Excellence Playa Mujeres

Also available to book at Expedia.com

Beautiful pools and one of the best beaches in the Mexican Caribbean.

Several reviews note that food is better at some restaurants than others.

Another World's Best pick, Excellence Playa Mujeres placed on the 2022 list for its 450 suites and prime section of powdery white beachfront. Suites are more than generously sized starting at an impressive 800 square feet. But an upgrade splurge is worth it, from the spacious terraces and swim-up suites to the rooftop plunge pools. Those who opt for the Excellence Club-level rooms have additional perks, from access to all seven pools to a club-only beach area to daily in-room snack amenities. All guests, however, can enjoy the nine restaurants and slew of activities, from archery and water polo to beach soccer.

The Details:

  • Closest airport: CUN
  • Included with rate: All meals and snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, access to amenities, daily activities, tennis clinics, gratuities, Wi-Fi
  • Standout amenity: The Excellence Club upgrade includes additional pool access and a private beach area
  • Starting rate: $439

UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya

Spacious suites with swim-up access or a soaking tub on a private terrace.

Restaurant reservations are required.

UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya set the bar for the new wave of luxury all-inclusive resorts when it opened in 2017, and this resort stays fresh and relevant, even earning a spot on the 2023 World's Best list. We love it for the enormous suites — first-floor rooms have swim-up access and higher floors have terraces with deep soaking tubs. The pool is the heart of the resort, attracting a fun, social crowd of 20-to-40-somethings. The resort is tucked into a quiet bay just north of Tulum, and the crescent-shaped beach is one of the best in the area. My favorite amenity is the snuggly hoodie-style robe — I practically lived in mine from check-in to check-out (and they're available for purchase in case you find it impossible to part with yours).

  • Included with rate: In-room minibar, meals and drinks, land and water sports, 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi, daily events, gratuities
  • Standout amenity: A calm, quiet beachfront that feels semi-private
  • Starting rate: $858

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

A wide, spacious stretch of beachfront, with two lovely pools and a hot tub.

The ocean is not swimmable due to strong currents.

Perched on a secluded stretch of beach removed from the buzzy Cabo San Lucas scene, this all-inclusive, adults-only resort features 201 rooms and a dizzying array of activities and amenities. Guests have access to gourmet dining, the Armonia Spa, and the Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Quivira Golf Club — one of Cabo's most beautiful oceanfront courses. One of my favorite activities here is the "Hook and Cook" experience, where you watch the chef reel in fresh fish right from the shoreline before he whips it up ceviche-style for a delicious al fresco lunch. If you want to up the ante at this 2023 World’s Best Awards winner, book a stay in the even more exclusive The Towers at Pacifica, a hotel within a hotel with upgraded amenities (think 24-hour butler service, private plunge pools, and an oceanfront VIP Lounge).

  • Closest airport: Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)
  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks (plus access to restaurants and bars at sibling resorts), Wi-Fi, daily activities, access to amenities, 24-hour room service
  • Standout amenity: Upgraded suites and extra perks in The Tower
  • Starting rate: $455

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya

A beautiful beachfront resort with a wide selection of restaurants and bars.

The resort grounds are expansive, which can mean a lot of walking.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya may be centrally located, but its enviable stretch of pristine white-sand beach will have you thinking you've tumbled into a castaway fantasy. The sun-bleached stretch of sand is among the best in the area, and the palapa-topped buildings and thick jungle foliage only add to the romance. Still, the resort — which was a 2021 World's Best Awards winner — is anything but rugged, with elegant guest rooms, eight restaurants, and 11 bars. Guests can enjoy the nightly shows, live music, and the full-service spa, too.

  • Included with rate: Meals, drinks, Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service, gratuities, daily activities, and access to amenities
  • Standout amenity: Two swim-up bars and a lazy river
  • Starting rate: $513

Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta

Two spectacular rooftop pools offer sweeping ocean views.

Beach access requires a short shuttle ride.

When people ask me what my favorite all-inclusive resort is in Puerto Vallarta, I always say this one. Breaking away from the popular earthy aesthetic, Puerto Vallarta's Hotel Mousai has a mix of styles that pull from everywhere — with art deco influence, 1980s neon, and a dash of surrealism. What ties it all together are the spectacular coastal vistas and endless included offerings. The two towers of Hotel Mousai are the adults-only, upgraded counterpart to sibling resort, Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa. Each tower has its own sleek rooftop infinity pool with unparalleled views of the Bay of Banderas and surrounding mountains. Guests can dine at any of the six Hotel Mousai restaurants, as well as the additional three on the Garza Blanca side. My favorites are Hiroshi, Dao, and Bocados. A brand-new shopping plaza offers additional dining venues and high-end shopping curated from a collection of local designers. A third tower with a larger spa is expected in 2025.

  • Closest airport: Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)
  • Included with rate: Meals, snacks, and beverages at on-site restaurants (plus restaurants at Garza Blanca), 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi, access to amenities, daily activities, gratuities
  • Standout amenity: Each room has a private plunge pool on the terrace
  • Starting rate: $623

Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos

An exclusive, adults-only hideaway attached to Grand Velas Los Cabos.

Starting room rates are expensive compared to others on this list.

The newest addition to the Los Cabos all-inclusive scene, Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos is an intimate hotel within a hotel. Adjacent to the already-renowned Grand Velas Los Cabos (which is left off this list only because it isn't adults-only), the new boutique-style hotel offers all the luxury of the original, minus the kids. With only 79 suites and a naturally protected stretch of beach, this all-inclusive resort is the perfect complement to an already stellar resort concept. We love the bohemian-chic design and the sparkling infinity pool that overlooks the Pacific. Suites start at more than 900 square feet, and each has a private terrace and Jacuzzi. Grand Velas Boutique has exclusive restaurants, and guests also have the option to dine at Grand Velas next door. Boutique guests also have access to the SE Spa.

  • Closest airport: SJD
  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, Wi-Fi, access to amenities, activities, gratuities
  • Standout amenity: Suites start at 900 square feet and have Jacuzzi tubs
  • Starting rate: $1,240

Beloved Playa Mujeres

Also available to book at Hotels.com

Sprawling suites built just for two have private whirlpool tubs.

The resort has a couples-only policy.

It doesn't get more romantic than a resort that is dedicated exclusively to couples, except maybe a couples-only resort that overlooks one of the best beaches in the Mexican Caribbean. The intimate Beloved Playa Mujeres enjoys coveted real estate in the growing Costa Mujeres area north of Cancun. Made up entirely of suites, lovebirds are invited to steal away into their private outdoor plunge pools, in-room Jacuzzis, or one of the many beautifully manicured corners of the resort. Couples can reconnect over a cooking class or a beachfront candlelit dinner. My favorite spot at this resort is its signature spa, one of the most impressive in Cancun. Don’t leave without trying the hydrotherapy circuit — it’s heavenly.

  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, 24-hour room service, minibar, access to amenities, laundry service, Wi-Fi, gratuities
  • Standout amenity: All suites feature a private plunge pool
  • Starting rate: $589

Hotel Xcaret Arte

Spectacularly designed rooms and one of the best culinary programs in Mexico.

With 900 rooms, it’s one of the largest resorts in the area.

At Hotel Xcaret Arte, it’s all about attention to detail. The second all-inclusive resort to open under the Grupo Xcaret brand, this resort is a mirror image of the next-door family-friendly Hotel Xcaret, except this resort is dedicated to adults. Spread across six distinct art-themed Casas, guests of Xcaret Arte are treated to an extensive list of inclusions, from airport transfers and all food and beverages to unlimited access to Xcaret’s amusement parks around the Riviera Maya. My favorite Casa is Casa de los Artistas, which operates like a hotel within a hotel with a private rooftop pool and bar, as well as a private gym. Guests are also entitled to experience Xcaret Xailing, a ferry service to Isla Mujeres, as well as a sunset party cruise, all included in the rate. The resort may be massive with 900 rooms, but with 10 restaurants, a beach, multiple pools, and a spa tucked into underground caves and grottos, it’s easy for everyone to spread out.

  • Included with rate: Meals, drinks, airport transfers, ferry service, access to resort amenities (including unlimited access to all Grupo Xcaret parks)
  • Standout amenity: Cenote-inspired Muluk Spa
  • Starting rate: $719

La Casa de la Playa Xcaret

Each room is more than 1,000 square feet.

Rooms are among some of the most expensive in the Riviera Maya.

Grupo Xcaret raised the bar yet again with the opening of La Casa de la Playa. The newest resort in their all-inclusive portfolio, this intimate adults-only resort was designed with exclusivity as its highest priority. The hotel features 63 impressive ocean-view suites, each with its own design and personality. All measure more than 1,000 square feet with ocean views and private pools. Much like sibling resorts Hotel Xcaret and Hotel Xcaret Arte, La Casa de La Playa is all about inclusions. The difference, however, is just how exclusive these inclusions are. Tailor-made experiences include private dinners in cenotes, morning purification rituals, and private adventure tours through yawning caverns. Restaurant concepts have been cooked up by iconic Mexican chefs like Martha Ortiz, Virgilio Martinez, and the Rivera-Rio brothers, while the Muluk Spa features two salt rooms and two mud rooms, all with ocean views.

  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks (including dining at sibling resorts), 24-hour butler service, airport transport, access to amenities across Grupo Xcaret, exclusive activities
  • Standout amenity: All suites feature private pools
  • Starting rate: $1,800

Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

Available to book at Booking.com

An intimate resort with one of the best beachfront locations in Cancun.

Top-shelf spirits may come at an additional charge.

With one of the best beachfront locations in Cancun's Hotel Zone, Live Aqua Cancun comes with a considerable list of bragging rights. A 2019 renovation upped the all-suite room count to 371 and introduced tech touches like surround sound and smart controls. Dining here is exceptional at all seven restaurants, though my favorite is the toes-in-the-sand Sea Corner for its casual ceviche and tacos. Seven pools are scattered around the property, each one at a different temperature, and guests are treated to daily activities and themed nights. The spa has 12 treatment rooms, as well as a traditional Mexican temazcal sweat lodge.

  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, access to amenities, daily activities, themed nights, Wi-Fi, gratuities
  • Standout amenity: A temazcal in the spa
  • Starting rate: $673

Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets

A fleet of e-bikes encourages the exploration of bohemian Isla Mujeres.

A dress code is enforced at certain restaurants.

Across the Caribbean Sea from the glittering skyline of the Cancun Hotel Zone, Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets is a posh playground reserved exclusively for adults. The second resort to open as part of the new Impression by Secrets brand, this 125-room hotel is secluded and intimate. Guests arrive at the five-mile-long island by complimentary boat transfers to the property's private dock. Rooms are decked out with locally sourced materials, like a textured accent wall and beautiful, handmade woven art. Private balconies boast hot tubs and outdoor living rooms. Outside the rooms, guests will find a sparkling beachfront, a four-story waterslide, seven restaurants, and five bars. For the perfect sunset experience, head up to the rooftop Unik The Kitchen and sip a beautifully crafted cocktail while drinking in the view of Cancun in the distance.

  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, 24-hour in-room dining, daily bottle of sparkling wine, personal butler service, minibar, laundry service, complimentary wellness experience
  • Standout amenity: Speedboat transfer to the resort’s private dock
  • Starting rate: $625

Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway

The experience of an all-inclusive resort within walking distance of downtown Puerto Vallarta.

The beaches in Puerto Vallarta are fine, but not spectacular.

Puerto Vallarta has plenty of all-inclusive resorts, but the best part of this city is its eclectic, vibrant downtown scene. So when you have a resort that combines the best of both worlds, you know it's something to talk about. Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway has a prime beachfront address that is within walking distance to the heart of downtown. The intimate 80-room adults-only resort features everything from yoga classes and beachfront Bali beds to a five-minute de-stressing massage and a personal concierge. Customize your room with a pillow and aromatherapy menu and then soak up the views of the Bay of Banderas from your ocean-view terrace. One of my most memorable experiences here was the private romantic dinner out on the jetty. Set at sunset, this gorgeous experience included a live violinist and three decadent courses.

  • Closest airport: PVR
  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, 24-hour in-room dining, minibar, butler services, activities, access to amenities
  • Standout amenity: Two oceanfront pools and unique private dining experiences
  • Starting rate: $261

A chic, garden oasis-style resort that's close to the airport, but feels like a world away.

You have to take a shuttle to access the private beach club.

Elegant and secluded, Casa Velas is a classic Spanish hacienda-style resort tucked away in the exclusive Marina Vallarta community. Shrouded in gorgeous jungle greenery, the Eden-inspired resort feels like an oasis, close enough to be a stone's throw from the airport, but decidedly far enough removed. Roaming peacocks and languidly swaying palm trees set the tone for an enchanting stay. The small resort has only 80 rooms, as well as a large central swimming pool lined with cabanas. While the resort is not on the beach, guests can take a quick shuttle to Tau Beach Club, where they have preferential seating and all meals included. Guests can also take a shuttle to sibling resort, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, for additional restaurant options and one of the best beaches in the area.

  • Included with rate: Meals and drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities, access to sibling resort Velas Vallarta, and more
  • Standout amenity: Tau Beach Club
  • Starting rate: $446

Know Before You Go

  • Consider the season: Mexico's idyllic tropical climate means it is also at risk for hurricanes. Hurricane season runs from June through November. Rates will be considerably cheaper during these times, but they come with the risk of a soggy (or possibly washed-out) vacation.
  • Tip in pesos: Tips are included at many all-inclusive resorts, but some guests feel inspired to leave a little something extra. While you may see guests tipping hotel employees in U.S. dollars, it's a hassle for employees to exchange foreign currency. Tipping in pesos is always preferred.
  • Feel free to roam: All-inclusive resorts make vacationing super convenient, but don't be afraid to venture off-property and experience Mexican culture outside of the gates.

How We Chose These Hotels

Selecting the best all-inclusive, adults-only resorts in Mexico is a daunting task. A few of these hotels made the list because they've been recognized in our annual World's Best Awards, voted on by thousands of T+L readers from around the world. In addition to these internationally recognized properties, the author of this article, Meagan Drillinger , contributed her expertise. She has been covering Mexico since 2009 and has personally visited hundreds (yes, hundreds) of accommodations all around Mexico. She focused on her personal experiences, which evaluated the quality of the guest experience, design, amenities, and location. In her 15 years covering the destination, Drillinger has spent more time on the ground in Mexico than anywhere else in the world.

Luxury Cruises to the Mexican Riviera

Mountains and desert meet the aquamarine surf of the Pacific on the Mexican Riviera, a playground of glamorous resort towns, golden beaches, enchanting Spanish colonial architecture, and jaw-dropping sunsets.

All your senses will be captivated on a luxury cruise to the Mexican Riviera with Celebrity. Taste local wines in Ensenada. Feel the sea breeze on your face as you sail around the rocky coastline of Cabo San Lucas on the lookout for sea lions. Explore the galleries and boho-chic shops of Olas Altas, Puerto Vallarta. Stroll the malecón waterfront in chic Mazatlán. You’ll absorb Mexico’s colorful culture in the street food, tequila, music, and craft markets everywhere you go.

Mexican Riviera Cruise Highlights

Glorious coastal scenery.

Whether you prefer long stretches of golden sand lined with chic restaurants and bars, or wild, wave-pounded rocks, you’ll find your dream on the Mexican Riviera. People-watch in the fashionable Golden Zone in Mazatlán. Take a day boat to the dramatic El Arco rock arch near Cabo San Lucas. Marvel at the ocean’s power at La Bufadora, Ensenada’s famous rock blowhole. Soak up the Hollywood glamor of Playa de los Muertos in Puerto Vallarta.

Art & Architecture

You’ll find colorful colonial architecture in many of the towns along the Mexican Riviera. Mazatlán’s Old Town is a maze of flower-filled plazas and delightful 19th-century buildings, many now serving as restaurants and galleries. In Puerto Vallarta, admire the Zona Romantica and the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, its steeple topped with a filigree crown. Head to pretty Todos Santos, a day trip from Cabo San Lucas, to wander cobblestone streets and browse galleries.

Creative Cuisine

Mexico’s vibrant cuisine brings ever-new discoveries as you sail the Mexican Riviera. There are more than 50 wineries in the Guadalupe Valley near Ensenada, so this is the place to head for tastings. In Puerto Vallarta, don’t miss pescado embarazado, fresh fish grilled with lime on a stick over charcoal, served with tangy salsa. Cabo San Lucas is packed with fine restaurants, but you can’t beat the farm-to-table cuisine here—all washed down with an ice-cold margarita.

Mexican Riviera Cruise Itineraries

Cruises with Celebrity to the Mexican Riviera last from five to 16 nights. Most are seven or eight-night voyages sailing round-trip from Los Angeles, visiting different combinations of Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Ensenada. You could also explore more northerly ports along the West Coast on a cruise that calls at Ensenada as well as San Francisco and Monterey. Or opt for a Panama Canal voyage between San Diego and San Juan, Puerto Rico, stopping at Puerto Vallarta as well as the Caribbean islands of Aruba and Curaçao. Finally, a long voyage between Valparaiso, Chile, and Los Angeles will bring you to exciting ports in Peru and Costa Rica as well as Cabo San Lucas.

Itineraries

Why cruise to the mexican riviera with celebrity cruises.

Soak up the sunshine of the Mexican Riviera on one of our luxury cruise ships. Lounge by the shimmering pool, or sample the cocktail menu in the gorgeous Sunset Bar, overlooking the ship’s wake. On Solstice-series ships, bask on the grass of the Lawn Club on the upper deck, and cool off with delicious gelato from Café al Bacio. Elevate your experience in The Retreat, offering all-suite accommodation, an elegant private lounge, and dining at the exclusive Luminae at The Retreat.

Whether you want to snorkel the coral reefs around Cabo San Lucas, spot breaching whales, shop for arts and crafts in Puerto Vallarta, or head to a waterfront bar to luxuriate in those glorious Pacific sunsets, this is the ultimate destination for sunshine, culture, cuisine, and a carefree vacation.

Travelers who've stayed here say the best part of their stay was the friendly staff and beautiful views. Some, however, were not impressed with the food or the rocky beach. Hilton has another all-inclusive location in Cancún.
