Recently, I made the “not-so-smart” mistake of submitting my passport renewal only 8 weeks before my 45th birthday celebration trip to Cancun. I panicked at week 5 when I checked the passport website and saw nothing had been done with my EXPEDITED renewal. At a time when millions and millions of people are struggling to get their passports because the government is so backed up, our Travel Consultant helped pave a way for me to get my passport in only 9 weeks!!! This is stellar!! It’s taken some people over a year to get theirs! Now, does this mean I missed my Bday trip to Cancun? Absolutely! BUT our very smart Travel Consultant highly suggested travel insurance, which we accepted. I was a little bummed in the beginning about it. But, I’m beyond good now. I’m a true believer that everything happens for a reason and happens for my good. If it wouldn’t have happened, I wouldn’t have this dope story to share, right? So, now all we have to do is reschedule our trip… I’m so grateful!

World Class Travel Service, Inc (WCT) was founded in 1983 by Bob Todd, Owner/Manager, after working for Holbrook Travel and Travel Professionals. For many years WCT was a corporate and academic based agency arranging travel for several local companies and the University of Florida business and student group travel.

We grew to 8 full time agents and purchased an office building in 1988. In 1990 our focus shifted to pleasure travel. In 2001 WCT began specializing in adventure travel to Peru. WCT represented 9 ecolodges and is mentioned in the Moon Handbook Peru as "the best international tour operator for Peru".

Affiliations

In 2019 World Class Travel became an independent contractor for Continental Capers Travel Service, Inc. Continental Capers is a member of the Tzell Travel group. This affiliation gives us preferred agency status with major airlines, tour operators and cruises and clout of this affiliation affords the best deals for our clients.

Her beautiful soul will forever be imprinted upon us and in everything we do. A versatile, witty, creative, and fiercely intelligent person with over 30 years in the Travel business. A lover of life and people, she lived to embrace and impart joy and a sense of belonging to everybody that she came across.

In 1977, Rob Brown, the President and Founder of Travel Turf, Inc. dba World Class Vacations, was a senior in college and decided to go on a Spring Trip to Florida. Rob was planning on a career in hotel management, but his experience on his trip in March of 1977 was a life-changing one. The trip he had booked and paid for with money saved while working part-time in college was a disaster, one problem after another. Rob and his friends received no assistance from the travel company handling the trip and he discovered that many students were being treated just as he was because of their age. On the flight home, Rob made a commitment to himself to start a travel company that treats students with the respect they deserve. When he returned from the trip, he finished college and secured a job with one of the largest travel companies in the Philadelphia area and began learning the business.

Rob realized he could not create the kind of company that he envisioned without the right people, so he reached out to a few of his college friends who were teachers at the time, a childhood friend, and the sister of one of his best friends to form the nucleus of the company. After over 40 years, the core group is still together, with many more talented, caring, and dedicated professionals joining the team.

The company that Rob and his colleagues started back in the late 70s has since grown into one of the largest Student Travel Companies in the country and one of Disney and Universal’s Top Five Student Travel Planners. Rob has never forgotten what happened back in 1977 and World Class Vacations has provided literally thousands of schools with memorable school-sponsored Class, Culinary, and Music Department Trips. In 2011, World Class Vacations entered into the Event Business with the birth of Dance The World Events, starting with Dance The World at the Walt Disney World ® Resort. Over the years, Dance The World Events has grown with the addition of the World Dance Competition, Dance The World Broadway (Summer/Holiday), Dance The World Holiday (Disney), Dance The World Nashville (Summer/Holiday) and the Holiday Bowl Dance Experience in San Diego, CA!

Moscow is unlike any other city on Earth. It is the wealthy economic center for one-sixth of the world's land mass and has over 120 ethnic groups and nationalities. A diverse and vibrant city with a strange combination of traditional Russian architecture and newer Soviet tastelessness, Moscow is an adventure waiting to happen!

Reasons to travel to Moscow

But what makes it so popular among tourists is the concentration of Moscow attractions. When you travel to Moscow you definitely want to see the red-bricked walls of the Kremlin , to take a picture in front of St. Basil's Cathedral , and probably visit the world-famous Bolshoi Theater . All of these places are located within a very small area around Red Square , so seeing them on a walking sightseeing tour of Moscow is convenient and allows you to avoid traffic jams.

The concentration of Moscow's main sights is one of the facts that make this city a world-class tourist destination. The majority of its attractions is centered in one small area, and the Kremlin is the hub of this concentration.

The Bolshoi Theater, the Lubyanka, and the hotels that tower above the Manege Square all are situated within the Boulevard Ring, an urban open-space doubling as a heavily-trafficked roadway created after the Great Fire of 1812, the one that left Napoleon's Army starving deep within wintry Russia.

As Europe's largest metropolis, and the 5th largest city in the world, Moscow comes with its share of traffic blunders. It seems that all of the world's most expensive black cars are here, and that most of the city's car owners do not understand the difference between sidewalks and parking lots. Still, while the traffic situation leaves much to be desired, the Moscow subway is superb.

The advanced Metro system carries up to 3 million passengers a day and its trains run every few minutes. With stations that could rival art museums, the Metro is one of Moscow's great must-see sights. Travel in Moscow Metro at least once to see that there is nothing like it in the world.

Best time to visit Moscow

The peak of the Moscow travel season is May through September. However, you may prefer to savor Moscow tourism delicacies during the low travel season. The snowy winter months offer just as many entertainment options as one can find during summer.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

We had a great time both in Moscow and St Petersburg. Your travel agency was excellent in coordinating the whole trip. Everything worked like clockwork. The guides assigned to us were very nice and friendly. They had a great knowledge of their subjects. The cars and the drivers were great. The hotels were good and the itinerary was good.
