Booking your motorhome rental in Miami

GoSee RV and Motorhomes Rental Miami

First off, what’s the easiest way to make your RV booking in Miami?

I always like to recommend GoSee Travel , the world’s best comparison site for RV and motorhome rental.

They give you a huge variety of vehicles with competitive prices, and make it so easy to browse through different rental companies in Miami.

Some specific reasons why you might want to use GoSee to book your RV/motorhome:

  • 24/7 award-winning customer support - Customer service is extremely important when renting an RV, and GoSee’s team is always available from the moment you make your booking until you return your RV.
  • Price Match Guarantee - Arguably the best feature in this platform is the Price Match Guarantee, which promises to match any lower price if you can find the same RV from the same supplier within the same dates.
  • Excellent vehicles - The range and standard of vehicles you’ll find here are impeccable, no matter what size or style of RV you need.

Miami Airport Motorhome Rental, Florida USA

Book recreational vehicles & campervan hire deals at miami airport, fl.

Book the best Miami RV hire today to explore the historic sites, cultural attractions and stunning beaches of South Florida, and the scenic drives and wildlife of Everglades National Park. In this page, you will find information on where to book the best motorhome, RV or campervan for hire, the most visited tourist attractions, and road trips starting from Miami.

Motorhome rental companies and their depots can be found on our website when you click on the search box to the right. Search and compare deals from motorhome rental agencies like El Monte, Cruise America and Escape Rentals. Huge savings await when you browse for bargains, specials and discounts!

With plenty of Miami motorhome hire on offer, you’ll be able to find the most suitable vehicles for your budget, group size and camping needs. Whether you want to experience the city comforts of Miami or get off the highways to discover the rest of South Florida, you’re bound to find the Miami motorhome rental for your needs.

For RV camping in and around the Miami area, bus-type Class A motorhomes or 4, 5, 6, 7 sleeper motorhomes provide the comfort and luxuries of home while getting you within day trip distance of other notable places to visit in South Florida.

Going further south into the Everglades National Park, consider booking smaller Miami RV rentals. They are easier to handle off the main roads and fitted with camping conveniences so you’re still able to enjoy indoor comfort while having outdoor fun.

Top RV Rental Companies in Miami, Florida

Some of the country’s top motorhome rental brands operate out of Miami, ensuring you have plenty of options whatever your RV hire needs or wherever your trip outside of Miami will take you.

If you’re staying close to the city in spacious RV parks, full-sized bus-type motorhomes allow you to live on the road in luxury and comfort. Consider booking Class A RVs for their ample storage space, interior height, bedding configurations and built-in amenities to take advantage of campground facilities.

For getting more mileage out of smaller, easier to handle vehicles, compact campervans and Class C cabovers offer sleeping space for a maximum of four to seven passengers while letting you explore away from the main roads and providing you RV camping essentials.

Some options allow you to balance the need for more sleeping space and easy drivability in narrow roads, or smaller sleeping capacity but more on-board amenities for a more comfortable camping experience. If this is what you need, you have a choice between Class C motorhome rentals with their ample sleeping space, and compact campervans with basic amenities.

Fishing, snorkeling, boating, dolphin spotting, kayaking and romantic sunsets await in the stunning tropical Florida Keys and Key West .  If all that sounds like too much hard work; simply sink your feet into the sandy beach and while away the day under the clear blue sky.  The area is made up of several islands sporting tropical climate flora and fauna; as well as impressive tropical storms at the right time of year; so if you don’t like the rain make sure to check on the most suitable time of year to plan your Miami Airport motorhome rental holiday.

City-to-city one way by motorhome

Driving Miami to Chicago will take you through the musical heart of the USA; where the blues and jazz really took hold and played a major part in the development of the modern American culture.  Your first major stop will be New Orleans , on to Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis and finally arrive in Chicago .  Most Miami Airport motorhome rental, campervan hire and RV rental agents will allow you to return your campervan rental in a different major city to the pick-up location.

Along the way the mighty Mississippi River can take you off the main highway and through several historic towns, such as Vicksburg and Baton Rouge, which features in many blues and folk songs throughout the last 200 years.  Perhaps take a steamboat cruise and be sure to add a visit to Mammoth Cave to your campervan hire route map.  For those interested in history, there are many US civil war sights along the Miami to Chicago road.

My experience was AMAZING!

My experience was AMAZING! Robby was in incredible. I needed to find an RV to watch the eclipse and all the RVs had been sold out for 10 months. I called at exactly the right time when there had been a cancellation and Robby got right on it to grab it for me as well as give me a wonderful discount! He said as so helpful and friendly. I am so so grateful that my family vacation will be even better now!

4th booking and great customer service

We just booked our 4th rental and I received a discount code after the fact via email. I called and spoke with Robert Sinteral who immediately gave us the discount, emailed us the updated booking receipt while we were on the phone and answered my questions with professionalism. Robert is a great asset to your company and deserves praise! Thanks Robert!

So glad we did a trial run.

We were going to rent a standard unit for about a week in June. To make sure the size would work as well as to practice, we rented the a standard size over a weekend. Within an hour, the unit was leaking from the ceiling. We called to report and the response was we could take it to a service place way out of our travel direction or ~if it didn’t bother us too much ~ just put something under the area dripping. We choose the second option. Shortly after the happened, we noticed that even though this was a relatively new model, the front privacy curtain was already damaged. Unfortunately also over the weekend the shower kept dripping sometimes substantially. The commode and the bathroom sink leaked a lot. It caused our bedding and clothing to become quite wet. We noticed the campground mentioned using a water regulator, but this was not given to us or mentioned at anytime during pick up instructions. We ended up disconnecting the water completely. We decided to check the experience of other Cruise America renters and those were not favorable regarding condition of vehicles and how repairs were handled. We promptly cancelled our reservation. It appears that the folks who you interact with for reservations and pickup/drop off are courteous and try their best. The real problem appears to be how the units are maintained as well as the “on-the-road” “24/7” seriously lacking support system.

The customer service is very nice. Only thing I would recommend is to add a reservation tool online.

Vehicles unable to support safe baby car seats - misleading

We booked a Compact Plus RV for a road trip in Utah and San Francisco. Before hiring we contacted Cruise America detailing that our baby would be six months old at the time of travel to check that there were adequate car seat attachments for this (this is rearward facing as is required by law in California) and were assured that there were safe attachments for a suitable car seat. We therefore booked the vehicle (via GoSee). As the trip drew nearer we started shopping for a car seat and quickly realised the system we had been sent was not rearward compatible. We then recontacted Cruise America who confirmed it is NOT possible to fit a rearward facing carseat in their RVs. We requested a full refund including our deposit via GoSee, who were the middle party. This was initially rejected by Cruise America with no explanation given. Only on us complaining that we would make our concerns about their child safety practices public was a refund issued. Staff training and booking processes need urgent review with relation to infant car seats. Rearward facing travel for infants is not only the safest form of travel but is now mandated by law in some states that Cruise America rent vehicles. If pick up or drop off in any of these states is entered at time of booking along with an infant on booking it should not be possible to book. We could very easily have arrived and collected a vehicle that was unsafe and illegal for our baby to travel in, had we not been diligent in double checking prior to travel.

Customer Service

My agent, David Shepard, always takes the time to provide all answers to my questions and searches for the best available promotions when I'm booking my rentals with him.

Reservation was cancelled without my…

Reservation was cancelled without my permission for no valid reason! We reserved for a family wedding, which we wanted to join in as part of our family, with our family, which is taking place in Brooklyn. Suddenly, after 2 reservations, one my husband made then when his was canceled, i made one, we were told about a special corporate insurance which needs to be bought, as that weekend is our Holiday of Purim. We are not corporate, we are a set of parents who wanted to treat their 4 kids to a family weekend gathering! This we feel is a real antisemitic act which we are taking very personally!

Dear Rivky, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to address any misunderstandings and clarify our policies. We acknowledge our interaction with you and the information provided regarding the necessary details for your rental. Cruise America is dedicated to maintaining a non-discriminatory approach and extends our rental services to any individuals meeting specific criteria: • possession of a valid Driver's License • Present a Credit Card in the main renter's name at the time of pickup • Being 21 years of age or older. In the rental industry, it is standard practice that our insurance requirements may necessitate the collection of additional information. For instance, during certain events, an enhanced security deposit is applicable. This may include, but is not limited to, a request for a Certificate of Insurance. This practice is not unique to Cruise America but is common across the rental industry and is in no way intended to be antagonistic. At Cruise America, an employee owned company, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive environment and would like to assure you that any request for supplementary documentation is solely driven by our commitment to fulfilling insurance obligations. We apologize if the process caused any inconvenience. Should you have further concerns or wish to discuss this matter in more detail, please feel free to contact us directly. We value your feedback and are committed to continuous improvement to provide the best service possible.

How Much to Rent an RV? How Cruise America Prices Rentals

How Much to Rent an RV? How Cruise America Prices Rentals

When planning an RV road trip , your budget plays a key role. Foremost in your mind is how much to rent an RV you should set aside, but you may not know how much exactly that will be.

Wondering how much it costs to rent an RV and curious about what factors influence RV rental prices? Cruise America is happy to explain it all to you and to get you on the road faster while saving money.

How Easy is It to Rent an RV?

Before talking about how much it costs to rent an RV, you're probably wondering how easy it is to do it. The truth is that it is incredibly easy to rent an RV. You don't need a special license to rent an RV, and you don't need any prior experience driving an RV before you try to rent one!

All in all, renting an RV is a great and easy way to see the country! Your biggest challenge may be finding the RV you want, especially if you're booking for a popular time.

What Factors Into RV Rental Prices at Cruise America?

Your pickup location, time of year, travel destination, and the duration of your road trip all play a role in the costs for how much to rent an RV, along with insurance costs. And, of course, the size of the RV you rent plays an outsized role, too!

Pickup Location

If you're planning on picking up your RV rental from a popular hub, be prepared to pay a bit more than you might when renting from other places...especially if your trip coincides with a busy time of year. You may be limited by what vehicles a certain location has in stock, especially if you delay booking until a time that's close to your travel date.

Time of Year

Want to celebrate Freedom over the July 4th holiday? Well, that's a time of high demand, so you should naturally expect to pay more. Then again, there are times throughout the year when special deals are offered by Cruise America. If you're flexible with scheduling, you can get quite a bargain.

Travel Destination/Mileage

The farther away your destination is, the more miles you'll rack up to both to get there and then to return to Cruise America (unless you're going on a one-way RV road trip , in which case you may find attractive discounts and avoid paying more in mileage charges).

Duration of Your Road Trip

Anyone who has ever rented any type of vehicle has to be prepared for this: The longer your trip/length of rental, the more it will cost — usually. You might find that a longer-term RV rental (a month or more) is offered at a discounted rate compared to a shorter-term (a week or two) rental.

Size & Model

A smaller RV will cost less — both in terms of the actual rental price, and gas — than a larger RV, but quite often, larger RVs are far more comfortable. If money is a concern and you don't need a super-sized RV for your road trip, going with a smaller vehicle or a less fancy model will be much easier on your wallet.

Other Factors in Pricing

Aside from factors more or less in your control, there are also rental fees and taxes to pay — they creep up on you just like this point did, and they're not up to Cruise America — when thinking about how much to rent an RV, remember how fees and taxes will vary by state/province.

As for additional fees that an RV retailer might charge you, be ready for rental insurance — but not at Cruise America, which provides free Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) with each RV rental.

How To Save Money on an RV Rental

Now, there are definitely ways to save money on an RV rental you might not have considered at first.

Relocation and One-Way RV Rental Deals

If you're open to a one-way RV rental, you may want to ask about a "relocation deal" . In this case, you get an RV for a one-way rental at a discounted price because you're effectively relocating that RV to another retailer location across the country.

Cruise America also has one-way specials based on date and destination, so check 'em out!

Find Great Gas Deals

It's not just the price you have to consider over how much to rent an RV; gas will also be a major expense. Be on the lookout for deals that include gas cards or discounts as incentives for renting an RV.

Book Your RV Ahead of Time

You can save money on an RV rental by reserving your vehicle well in advance. For example, the earlier you book your RV with Cruise America, the more choices you have in terms of vehicle size — which, as you know, influences how much to rent an RV you'll have to pay!

Save Money on an RV Rental With Cruise America

The best way to save money on an RV rental is to go with a company with more than 50 years of experience providing satisfied RV road trippers like you with a great experience — Cruise America!

Cruise America's pricing is competitive, with special deals and discounts offered throughout the year. In addition, you can save on fees with Cruise America, thanks to each RV rental coming with free SLI!

Ready to see how much it costs to rent an RV from Cruise America? Visit Cruise today to start planning your next adventure — and possibly save some money with half-price miles while you're at it!

Two Holland America Line crew members died on the line’s Nieuw Amsterdam ship on Friday.

The deaths occurred following "an accidental steam release in an engineering space" around 9:20 a.m. while the ship was calling at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, according to a spokesperson for the line.

The crew members were third engineer Joseph Terrado and wiper Wawan Gusnawan. Terrado was from the Philippines and Gusnawan was from Indonesia.

"All of us at Holland America Line are deeply saddened by this event," the spokesperson said in an emailed statement. "We’ve been in contact with the families of both team members and are offering our support to them and to all of our crew at this difficult time."

Nieuw Amsterdam was sailing a week-long Eastern Caribbean cruise that departed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on March 16, according to CruiseMapper . The ship returned to Fort Lauderdale around two hours late on Saturday, and left for its next cruise about three hours late.

The vessel will visit Ocho Rios in Jamaica on Tuesday.

"The Bahamas Maritime Authority and the Dutch Safety Board are currently investigating. Safety is always our top priority, and we are working to understand what, if anything, can be learned from this tragic accident," the spokesperson said, noting that earlier reports that the crew members died in a fire on board were incorrect.

Two investigators from the Dutch Safety Board traveled to the Caribbean as part of the inquiry, the independent administrative body said in an emailed statement. The BMA did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment.

Two Holland America workers who died on cruise were allegedly boiled in steam blast

T wo Holland America employees who died in a cruise ship’s engineering space were allegedly killed by a steam explosion – and the vessel’s emotional captain broke down when he announced the tragedy to the passengers.

Engineer Joseph Terrado of the Philippines and Wawan Gusnawan of Indonesia, a wiper, were killed in the horrific accident aboard the Florida-based Nieuw Amsterdam while docked in the Bahamas on Friday, Miami attorney Jim Walker told WPLG.

“There was an accidental steam release in an engineering space on board Nieuw Amsterdam, which sadly resulted in the death of two crew members,” Holland America said in a statement, NBC News reported.

The Bahamas Maritime Authority and the Dutch Safety Board are investigating the exact cause of the accident, the company added.

One of the passengers said the captain announced the deaths of the two crewmen.

“We were celebrating the last day of the cruise,” Laine Doss told the outlet, saying the jubilant mood changed “to something extremely somber” when the captain came on the PA system.

“He broke down crying. There was a moment of silence that the captain requested. And that entire scenario did affect the entire cruise,” she said.

“Things were canceled, joyous events were canceled, and we really just thought about mortality — the people who perished on the ship,” Doss added.

Walker alleged that a mechanical failure triggered the explosion of a steam compensator, adding that the response by workers may have led to the victims getting trapped in an area where oxygen depleted as it filled with steam vented at 356 degrees Fahrenheit, the Dutch NL Times reported .

The attorney based his allegations on statements and images sent to him by Holland America workers who wished to remain anonymous, according to the outlet.

The company said crew members were being offered counseling.

Dutch government inspectors determined the Nieuw Amsterdam to be “fully operable,” and this was “confirmed” by the US Coast Guard, Holland America told NBC News.

A Coast Guard rep said she was looking into the statement and was unable to immediately confirm it, according to the outlet.

“All of us at Holland America Line are deeply saddened by this event,” the company said. “We’ve been in contact with the families of both team members and are offering our support to them and to all of our crew at this difficult time.”

The ship, which carries up to 2,106 passengers and operates under a Dutch flag, departed the private Half Moon Cay, also known as Little San Salvador Island, in the Bahamas for Fort Lauderdale a few hours after the accident.

Authorities from the Netherlands also were sent to the Bahamas to investigate the fatal accident, NL Times reported.

The Post has reached out to Holland America for comment.

Two Holland America workers who died on cruise were allegedly boiled in steam blast

2 crew members die on Holland America ship; fire breaks out on Carnival cruise

MIAMI — Two crew members died on board a Holland America cruise ship, and a fire broke out on a Carnival ship while both of the ships were in the Bahamas this weekend, officials said.

The two crew on the Florida-based Nieuw Amsterdam died Friday during an "accidental steam release" while it was calling at the private resort island Half Moon Cay, Holland America said in a statement on Sunday.

"There was an accidental steam release in an engineering space on board Nieuw Amsterdam, which sadly resulted in the death of two crew members," the cruise line said.

The Bahamas Maritime Authority and the Dutch Safety Board were investigating the exact cause of the release, Holland America said.

A representative of the Bahama’s Coroner’s Court did not immediately respond to a request for information, such as the crew members’ identities and the cause and manner of death.

The cruise line said the conclusions of any investigation would be taken seriously. "Safety is always our top priority, and we are working to understand what, if anything, can be learned from this tragic accident," it said.

Passenger Laine Doss said she was on board when the captain announced the deaths on the vessel's P.A. system.

"We were celebrating the last day of the cruise," she said, when the mood changed "to something extremely somber."

The captain's voice broke, she said.

"He broke down crying," Doss said. "There was a moment of silence that the captain requested. And that entire scenario did affect the entire cruise. Things were canceled, joyous events were canceled, and we really just thought about mortality — the people who perished on the ship."

Crew members were being offered counseling, Holland America said.

Dutch government inspectors determined the vessel to be "fully operable," and this was "confirmed" by the U.S. Coast Guard, the cruise line said.

A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson said she was looking into the statement and was unable to immediately confirm it.

The Nieuw Amsterdam returned Saturday to its home port of Fort Lauderdale, guests disembarked, and the vessel has embarked on a cruise with a stop in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on Monday, Holland America said.

"All of us at Holland America Line are deeply saddened by this event," the cruise line said. "We’ve been in contact with the families of both team members and are offering our support to them and to all of our crew at this difficult time."

The ship set sail out of Fort Lauderdale on March 16 for a seven-night trip.

Fire on the port-side exhaust funnel of another Florida-based cruise ship in the Bahamas, the Carnival Freedom, rocked some passengers Saturday and took the ship out of commission for repairs, the cruise line said.

No injuries were reported.

In a statement Sunday, Carnival Cruises acknowledged witness reports of a lightning strike or the sound of thunder before the fire erupted.

Passenger Heath Barnes said the ship was on a detoured path, destined for an unscheduled stop in Freeport, as a result of stormy weather and high winds when fire started.

"I was shocked," he said. "I mean, I looked out there and you're not supposed to see black smoke and fire shooting out of the tail end of the cruise."

The blaze was preceded by "the loudest thunder-lightning clap that I've ever heard in my life," Barnes said.

Ship personnel extinguished the fire, Carnival Cruises said.

The cruise line said a technical team determined the ship sustained enough damage that it will need repairs before it can be returned to scheduled cruises. The funnel was stabilized, passengers were expected to be returned to Port Canaveral, and the ship will set off to Freeport for repairs, it said.

"The damage is more than we first thought and will require an immediate repair to stabilize the funnel, resulting in the cancellation of the March 25 and March 29 cruises from Port Canaveral," Carnival Cruises said.

Passengers scheduled for those late-March cruises are being offered full refunds and credit that can be used for a future cruise, it said.

It was the second funnel fire on the Carnival Freedom since 2022.
