Trek 4500 review

The 4500 sits right at the top of Trek's entry-level bike bracket. Its lack of cable disc brakes compared to rivals may impact on casual purchases, but in fact frees up the budget for some shrewd spec choices.

The chassis is a typical aluminium XC frame, with a wishbone seatstay and an oversized down tube that flares wider to stiffen up the front end. The fork is another dependable RockShox Dart, but with 80mm travel, disc and V-brake bosses, and a lockout switch, as well as rebound adjustment.

On the trail, the reach is roomy, thanks more to the long stem than the average top tube.

Bar height looks high but that's due to the long steerer tube and 4cm of spacer washers. Shuffling these and flipping the 10-degree stem lets you go XC low, or get down out of the wind for road work. Even as it is, the front end feels a lot more flrmly planted than the Saracen's on any twisty or uphill trails.

The drivetrain is the best in the test. Instead of 24-speed Acera or Alivio it's 27-speed Deore, which gives smaller steps between gears as well as a handy 22x34T bottom for climbing. While the 4500 comes with V-brakes, its wheels are ready for upgrading thanks to disc hubs - so you can skip cable discs and go straight to the hydraulics that any upgrader would want anyway.

The Bontrager Jones ACX tyres coped well with a variety of conditions, from armoured trails to thick mud. On road the rear end is commuter ready, like the Saracen, although you'll need to bodge something to fit a full front mudguard.

Welcome to the Best Bike Select blog, this is about the Trek 4500, what its features are, what the Trek 4500’s pros and cons are, and what alternatives to the Trek 4500 are. What models can take their place?

You need more than just skills to become an intermediate mountain biker; you also need a proper mountain bike.

The Trek 4500 mountain bike that we are discussing today is not for sale on the company’s official website. It is an out-of-production mountain bike.

  • What we liked about it: The 26″ size and the sturdy, stable frame for newbies.
  • What we don’t like about it: Probably doesn’t ride very fast.

Climbing Experience

Trek has a knack for producing bikes that newbies will love, which proves why your first bike always comes from Trek. This mid-range bike is designed to please most riders most of the time, and you can have more fun for less cash.

I happened to borrow this bike from an old friend close to me, and after a long ride it still performs great. As soon as I got on it I could feel the uniqueness, the newbie friendliness and the amazingly efficient ride position. I set up this test in a suburban park on a greenway. There were some very steep uphills and fast swooping descents, but none of them were very bumpy, and they were gravelly.

I found it very easy to climb those uphill climbs, probably due to the dense gear ratios and the super small gear ratio of 22:34 minimum. In fact, I didn’t need to use the smallest gear ratio to get up there, and it also made me climb faster. The stiff rear end with the flexible fork allowed me to pedal better. In short, there was little to disturb my confident climbing drive.

The tires have very good grip, and I mean in all conditions. This uphill section is almost all dry and dusty, which is a nightmare for road bikes. In this case, the slick outer tires made them just skid in place. And the Trek 4500 tires’ powerful grip allowed it to effortlessly convert my entire effort into forward momentum.

Descending experience

The descent is also incredible. As long as you don’t race it against the real “speed stars”.

The RockShox Dart 2 may seem dated today, but in my experience I have to say, “This is really a great piece of work from a famous brand”. Even through the years, it doesn’t lose much of its performance and even surpasses the latest offerings from some cheaper brands.

After going over the top of the park’s greenway, I was faced with a winding downhill slope. The bumpy gravel road wasn’t as challenging as those rock gardens in the mountains that I’d otherwise have to mitigate by installing a pair of springs in my bike seat. Still, it wasn’t exactly flat. Fortunately, the fork has 100mm of cushioned travel, which allows me to handle the bumpy sections with ease.

I don’t think anyone would put their butt in the saddle while going down a hill fast, right? I often lift my butt up and put all my weight on my pedals. Because that keeps the overall center of gravity lower and also makes the body more stable during the descent. So I think a hardtail bike is perfectly capable on these mildly bumpy sections and doesn’t need a full suspension bike to engage. Full suspension bikes don’t handle flat rides and uphill sections very well, they are “crazy” for charging down hills.

Trek 4500 Mountain Bike Specs

Alpha aluminum frame (5/5).

Today, this frame is mostly found in Trek’s $1000-$2000 mountain bike frames. The aluminum frame of the Trek 4500 is also very user-friendly.

Because of the relatively tight head tube angle, it has some advantages when climbing. The relatively short top tube allows for more flexible handling for easy steering, and subtle offsets in different terrains in the mountains can make a difference in the riding experience.

The rear triangle is also strong enough that bumpy sections have less of an impact on the Trek 4500’s frame strength.

A high-quality frame for beginning to intermediate riders.

27-speed Deore gearing (5/5)

Today, it’s rare to come across a mountain bike with 27 speeds. Instead, a 1X or 2X flywheel is used to power a 7-10 speed rear gear on the back wheel.

Of course, there are numerous comments about how much easier it is to ride with a 1X drivetrain.

But you can’t make such claims until you’ve experienced 27 speeds. 3X9 configurations are more difficult to adapt to 27 speeds, lengthening the learning curve, but there is still a segment of intermediate riders who prefer mountain bikes with more than 21 speeds.

This bike’s versatility stems from more than just its ability to adapt to different terrains.

100mm travel fork (4.5/5)

2010 Trek 4500

The Trek 820 still has a shock fork with 75mm of travel. The Trek 4500 bicycle, on the other hand, has a RockShox Dart 2, 100mm travel suspension fork.

Of course, the 4500 retains its 80mm travel fork for the 2007 model year. The RockShox Dart 2 shock fork excels on rough trails, and the not-too-soft, not-too-hard spring damping allows for continuous trail acceleration.

Bontrager Kit (4.5/5)

This is a classic Trek mountain bike kit that includes Bontrager handlebars, grips, and a stem. The kit is also durable and ergonomically designed for mountain bikers.

The handlebar is also made of a sturdy inner ring with a soft outer sleeve that wraps around the handlebar.

V-brakes (3.0/5)

Although the front and rear V-brakes are similar to disc brakes in terms of braking accuracy on general roads, they are not suitable for rocky roads when riding in the mountains.

When you have enough money, you can replace them with mechanical disc brakes or hydraulic disc brakes.

26×2.1″ Mountain Tires (3.5/5)

2009 Trek 4500

The Trek 4500 is slightly wider than the Trek 3500 or 3700, but less capable in the mountains than the popular 2.2″ or 2.4″d. It is an excellent choice for use in the woods or on trails.

The Trek 4500’s flexibility is maintained by the 26*2.1″ tires, but at the expense of some grip.

Other versions of the Trek 4500

We put the Trek 4500 to the test, and it’s a bike that can meet your commuting needs while still being well balanced for mountain riding. And, the durable frame is perfect for entry-level players to ride. If that’s the kind of bike you need to get a workout in, or to try to get into the mountains, it’s perfect for you.

In the meantime, we’ve found you other versions of this bike, the TREK MULTITRACK 7100. To be honest, they don’t share the same niche. However, the 7100 features a very comfortable riding geometry and adjustable angle stems with cruiser-style handlebars, making the whole bike presentable to the public in an extremely comfortable position. Obviously, it is not as suitable for riding in the green forests of the mountains as the Trek 4500. The bike is designed with thinner and smoother outer tires and a wide, comfortable spring-loaded saddle so that you can enjoy every ride for pleasure rather than speed.

Overall, if your quest for a bike is to ride in the city and replace your feet, the TREK MULTITRACK 7100 would be the comfortable choice. But if you have a slight desire to ride in the mountains and want to stay fit by riding on the weekends, we suggest you choose the Trek 4500.

The Trek 820 is currently popular, but it is marketed as an entry-level mountain bike. The Trek 820, has also impressed riders interested in mountain biking.

However, there are a few things that aren’t particularly satisfying when compared to the Trek 4500’s configuration, such as the fact that he’s a steel frame rather than the mid- to the high-end Alpha aluminum frame, and that the weight is about 2 pounds heavier, but the body strength is still consistent.

The 27-speed Trek 4500 is significantly more powerful than the 21-speed Trek 820. However, budgetary considerations will help to explain why the Trek 820’s configuration is relatively low. If you’re new to mountain biking, the Trek 820 is an excellent choice.

The Trek Marlin 5 mountain bike is a great alternative to the Trek4500. Frames are available in both men’s and women’s sizes, and the clean internal alignment protects cables while also adding to the bike’s stylish appearance.

The XXS-S frame has a few minor changes, such as the top tube tilting down near the seat tube, which is very accommodating to shorter riders and makes it easier for them to ride.

In contrast, the Trek uses the more advanced Deore components from the same Shimano company. The 27-speed shifting system not only provides a denser shifting experience, but also offers a larger 34T gear to help the rider on climbs.

For the frame, the Schwinn High Timber is made of high carbon steel. This gives the whole bike a very strong rigidity, but this will undoubtedly increase its weight significantly. The Trek 4500 is made of aluminum, which does not reduce the rigidity much, but can greatly reduce the overall weight.

It is worth mentioning that both bikes use the external alignment design. The difference is that the Trek uses a cable layout with all upper tubes, while the Schwinn High Timber uses separate upper and lower tubes, which looks very messy.

The Schwinn Bonafide Mountain Bike, like a mountain bike with larger tires, has 29-inch tires, 2. 25-inch wide knobby mountain tires for rough terrain, softer grips for added riding comfort, and a speed number that is very close to the Trek 4500 mountain bike’s: 24 speeds.

Ideal for the inexperienced rider. If these two are ridden on flatter mountain terrain, the Schwinn Bonafide appears to have the advantage.

The Trek 4500 is no longer available, but with 27 speeds, it’s a popular choice among intermediate riders.

However, the Trek 4500 will not impress riders with high mountain bike expectations, but it is well built and completes established mountain rides with a perfect fit of various components. If you prefer more exciting off-road riding, this is not the bike for you. The Trek 4500 has all of the features of a trail bike, but it doesn’t stand out as a mountain bike in every category.

Ultimately, we think the Trek 4500 is a good quality, novice-friendly mountain bike that will allow the rider to grow in skill.

Bought this bike after a lot of research. It is a bit heavy, expected it to be lighter to be honest. I am 5'6" and the frame suites me like a tailored fit suit :) Did a couple of 40+ one day rides without any complain at all. We do not have much trails in Bangladesh but still managed to find some beaten down roads and pathway through villages and the bike just flies over the trails. I did some minor modification, changed the rear dera to deore xt from deore and the pedal to x-pedo (magnesium). The suntour xcm is quite good, takes the bumps and the potholes effortlessly. Lately, I have begun training on some moves like bunny hop, track stand and jumps and the bikes response is just perfect. Overall, a highly satisfied customer.

Since i purchased this bike nothing has gone wrong and it is perfect!!

This is a great entry level bike that you can ride easily and not break your wallet. I raced BMX for a number of years so I consider myself to be an advanced rider. The bike can take everything I throw at it and wants more. It is not the lightest or the most advanced but if you want to ride and dont want to spend big $$$$ than this is the bike for you. No complaints at all.

Lower end components but good value for what you pay for.

Overall great bike for all that want a good solid bike with an affordable price.

Nimble, Durable

Heavy, Bontrager rims did not stay true

I bought this bike about 4 years ago because I got a great deal on it and was looking to replace a 2001 Haro that I was on. Over that time I replaced the rims, breaks, pedals, tires and cabling. Overall for an entry level bike this is a good one that I have put many of miles on from straight XC, technical rock gardens and even about a dozen adventure races. It has been a good bike and I have no regrets. It is heavy for a 26er but it has held up well through several uh-oh's along the way. Surprisingly the Dart 3 front fork on mine has never given me any problems and still works well. I have just ordered a Ti 29er as I have stuck to the racing and need a faster bike but will keep this one as a tight turner when the trails require it.

i got this bike as a christmas present to see if i liked racing so i raced 4 races in the beginner category and the bike rides amazingly for something so heavy and i was able to win state champs on this bike. i recently bought an 06 hifi deluxe but im keeping this one as a back up and for those smooth races. Make sure you change the fork though. even if it is something as simple as what i put on it is better than stock it is supposed to have a 100mm but on the lightest setting on the big hits it only gives about 50mm. all in all it is a great bike for the price and remember to change the cables regularly and it will shift a lot better than normal. I recommend this bike to the entry level racer but if you go further either upgrade or do an annual overhaul and regular tune ups.

The Frame. it's not a bike, it's a tank. in a good way. bought the 2012 green/black version, and this frame just takes on anything. rock solid, very comfortable. the suntour XCM fork is nice. it's not a "high end" fork ofcourse, but it does it's job quite good. especially for the money. the Hydraulic discs which came with the bike are more than enough anyone in an entry level needs. i actually wanted to settle for less (V-braking) since it appears thier far too advanced for me, but came to like them Very fast.

sattle which is hard, and Stock Tires that don't grip a lot. thier mainly for "off roads" but not really for "trails" where you need massive grips on rocks.

I'm very pleased with this bike. besides the neglectable fact that they look good, i fell with them couple of times, and nothing happend to the bike. most of the stock products that came with the bike are WAY more advanced that any "entry biker" like me actually needs, so it's a bike you can actually "grow on" and advance with. i searched forums around the world for about 2.5 weeks before purchasing them, almost bought the trek 4300, but after seeing bad reviews about thier fork, decided i'll pay a little extra, (but will get a lot more) the rear doere shifters in the back shifts smoothly and nicely, and the ACREA on the front, which is "less quality" is enough since you don't really use a lot of front gear changing. A very high quality bike for entry level, from a good american company, you really don't need more than this for an entry level, in my opinion.

Shocks, weight, reliability

I got the new 2012 4500D about a week ago. Its super comfortable and looks sick. I got the black,white and green. Disc brakes are a nice step up from my old GT pantera. I cant say that the bike is reliable. Within the first hour of riding it, the shocks blew(riding street). The shop gave me new shocks no problem. The next day I take it on some light trials and the shock blows again within an hour. Once again I'm without a bike for a week. Sick bike but shocks are garbage. I just hope the rest of the bike holds up like people says it does.

Best built bike available. A perfect frame. Amazing disc brakes and all shimano components.

Seat is a bit hard but not that bad.

After over 15 years away from the sport. I decided that it was time to go big or go home. I shopped around for 4-5 weeks and test drove alot of bikes. I was looking for a well built mid-level bike. I tried the 2011 TREK 4500D and that was it. A pure fast rolling, light, great looking, well priced bike with an amazing warranty. I changed the tires and this bike is perfection. I got stopped a few times the first time out by other bikers that wanted to see what I was riding. 2011 was the year that TREK decided that they were going all out on the components. I didnt feel as if I was losing out and didnt see any component that needed to be changed at purchase. The seat is a bit hard but when you're in the trails, its so fast that you dont really get to use it that much. I find myself going out more and more and cant wait for the next ride. PERFECTION.

But, you don’t have to be afraid of putting this bike under a lot of stress. It will handle everything you throw at it because of its durability.

In fact, the original 4300 model used Trek’s Alpha Aluminum frame that’s tough enough to handle rugged trails with ease. As the model progressed, Trek introduced the Alpha Gold Aluminum material for the frame of the later versions of the 4300. 

This updated version has a more aggressive race geometry for speed, with internal cable routing for durability, and rack mounts for versatility.

You’ll also find that it has a replaceable derailleur hanger. Now, these upgrades made the bike more versatile and allowed it to handle a wider range of terrain.

But the bigger 27.5 and 29″ wheels actually provide more stability and comfort, which is why they are now preferred for mountain biking.

Despite the small wheels, the double-walled rims and 32-spoke design of the Trek 4300 are pretty solid and tough enough to withstand years of abuse on the trails.

[Review] Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport by Drzewiecki Design - Another great one with a couple of issues. 😀

I finally finished my review of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport by Drzewiecki Design. You can read it below and check out plenty of video content if you prefer to make your own opinion.

There are a few issues that need fixing tho. There is a localized performance issue that drops your framerate radically if you look at one of the terminals. I don’t think the issue is the level of detail, because the other terminals are equally detailed. DD is investigating, but this needs fixing with priority.

At this point, DD also needs to make sure that all customers (besides the official marketplace where it’s not possible I guess. That’s on Microsoft) get the option to easily deactivate the static aircraft. It’s not available on Orbx even if the client would allow for options.

They’re beautiful and likely the best in the industry but 100 of them are WAY too many (yes, I have counted them). Ideally, besides ON and OFF it’d be nice to have an option to have just some of them but not a hundred.

Hope this helps those wondering if the airport is worth it. Besides the issues above and a couple more nitpicks, it’s a no-brainer for me.

I hope Orbx releases a bundle for this and the Moscow city pack.

Haven’t tried it after the update yet. I imagine they focused on fixing the issues from SU5 first

The Terminal B/C issue was much better the last time I tried it, after their SU5 patch.

This airport by Drzewiecki Design cause CTD on xbox. It does not matter which runway, gate or plane i choose. One second after loading there is always CTD. No chance to start from this airport. Does anybody else have this problem on xbox too?

yes same here! Drzewiecki Design Moscow Airport, Chicago landmarks and Narita airport all CTD on xbox! not good, if anyone reaches out to them would be great to know what they will do about this. I will try to reach out to them as well

I bought UUEE yesterday in the Black Friday sale and so far have no issues on either XBox Series S or PC version. I have however so far only spawned c&d at a gate and looked around the airport a bit (in a 787).

I assume those having CTDs with the airport have reinstalled it and cleared their rolling cache ?

I was able to take off and fly over the airport on Xbox in a flight design CTSL.

I have Moscow city and Bijan fall season also loaded, so it wouldn’t be a conflict with one of those that is causing the crash

Update: just to help rule things out, also loaded in the Orbis Flying Hospital.

I also have Moscow City and Bijan (current season) loaded and the Ground Services Addon (forgot the name). Seems no conflict with any of those.

Reinstalled it. Rolling Cache is not activated. Still CTD. Maybe there is a difference between series x and series s. I use a series x. On PC it works.

I bought DD’s UUEE airpory yesterday, it causes either crash or airplane display freeze (well it simply disables them and I have no way to turn it back). Also minor framedrop issue, though it’s not a great deal. Just it is so frustrating that it makes the game absolutely unplayable. I think I should reach out DD.

Does anybody will fix the FPS and CTD problems in this airport, finaly???!!! Already 1 year have passed away - nothing have changed! Nobody takes responsibility on himself! Drzewiecki Design saying that it is not their problems and responsibility, but MSFS 2020 command, but MSFS saying same thing backward! So, who is lieing to me? It is great maded airport, but not finished with FPS problems, yet!

I’m using, PC, but don’t think that it’s changeing something too much! My opinion, that it’s resposibility of developer of this airport,but they don’t mind!

Last time I’m buying from this developer again . It’s a constant blame game and I respect this developer a lot and he is very talented but to continually tell us to tell msfs and visa versa is quite unacceptable. Same goes for the Chicago landmarks on Xbox it does not work causes CTDs and he clearly states this issue is on Asobo side . So whoever side is the problem , than this should be removed from the marketplace until it is fixed . This is taking peoples hard earned money and selling them a product they know does not work and than do nothing about it . Sorry DD , no more purchases from me anymore in the future .

I couldn’t agree with you more. im fighting for a refund its absurd. Chicago landmarks are morphing when in drone mode, its a strange LOD problem and CTD. Moscow airport is CTD, Narita airport as well. the back and forth shouldn’t be happening. we are paying customers and expect a product to work if paid for. its a shame because these products look nice if they actually worked…smh

Moscow: An Honest Review of this Amazing City

“ You’re going to Russia?!?! Why? ” I heard these words pretty much every time I announced my upcoming trip to the east.

This reaction is understandable. Most people in Europe and the United States have a Putin-provoked distaste of the Russian Federation, which is growing by the day. Politicians claim that Russia’s sole mission is to diminish and undermine western powers to strengthen its own. After all, the name Vladimir comes from two old Slavic words, which together mean “great ruler of the world.” Make of that what you will…

Even the non-political vision of Russia is unfavorable. Most think of a cold, grey, backward place with Soviet architecture or battle-hardened, weather-beaten people. However, arriving at the sleek Moscow Domodedovo airport, I was impressed. I had been right to rebut popular notions of an unwelcoming and stony place.

However, almost immediately after leaving the airport, the ground for my righteous vindication became shaky. Driving into the outskirts of Moscow, my mind drew comparisons to television images of North Korean suburbs. Miles of uniform houses and bleak tower blocks lined the roads.

At the Izmailovov Delta Hotel next to the famous market of the same name, things were not looking much better. Truly peculiar decorations and violently colored walls competed for one’s gaze in the hotel lobby. Luckily, the rooms themselves were perfectly comfortable, though not particularly noteworthy. I’d stay central next time.

After dropping bags, I ventured toward the Izmailovov market for a look at how the locals live. From a distance, the buildings that encase the market are vivid, intricate and quite something to behold. As it was late in the day, the market was empty. Shop shutters were closed and stalls were folded up. I got the same uneasy feeling I get when walking through Disney Land – as if this was what remained after the recent collapse of a utopian society.

While nearly all the vendors had packed up and gone home, a few stalls remained opened for business. All that was left was an abundance of satirical matryoshka dolls containing various countries’ political leaders in historical order.

A tattooed burly salesman came over to me as I withdrew François Mitterrand from the wooden bowels of Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.

“ Where are you from, friend? ” He asked.

Ignoring my response, he launched into a speech about his armed forces days and the political situation in Russia.

“ You really ought not to trust the government, ok? Putin is a dangerous man, you see. Someone’s always watching in this city. ”

The whiff of Glühwein that carried with each sentence made me doubt the erudition of his analysis. Then again… this is what we hear in the news. I was not sure what to believe. After thanking the man and hastily filling Charles de Gaulle with the rest of the presidents of the Fifth Republic, I made my way back to the hotel.

Emerging from the underground we rounded the corner and immediately found ourselves in Red Square. The sight demands you stop and stare.

The insurmountable walls of the Kremlin line the length of one side; halfway along lies Lenin’s tomb and opposite is the lavish exterior of the Gosudarstvennyi Universalnyi Magazin shopping center (or GUM, as it’s referred to, thank God). The architectural marvel of Saint Basil’s Cathedral stands at the south end, with the State History Museum at the other. Even though the foreboding structures radiate a rouge pastel hue into every corner of the square, there is a sense of openness. No-doubt there was a somewhat different atmosphere when thousands of Soviet soldiers goose-stepped through the square. Interestingly, the Russian army still marches like this today.

Walking around central Moscow, history oozes from every spire and pillar. Buildings seem to lean over as you walk past, as if peering down on whoever dares to enter these austere places. For every moment or event in Russian history, there is a dedicated museum.

The quality of each museum is notably high. In particular, the Armory inside the Kremlin holds astonishing collections of royal carriages from across the world and throughout the ages. The world-renowned Fabergé Eggs are displayed here too.

Having wandered around for so long during the day, we had no time to eat before attending the Ballet that evening. Sitting in the Bolshoi, the long day began to catch up with me.

It is now that I must make a confession: while attending a performance by one of the world’s greatest ballet companies, I fell asleep.

Thankfully, I woke up later in the second half and was treated to the final leaps and prances of Shostakovich’s The Bright Stream. As someone who is not a ballet aficionado, that was probably enough.

Feeling significantly perkier afterward, a late dinner was in order. Just behind the Bolshoi is VOGUE Café , a gastronomic outpost of the famous magazine. It claimed to serve an eclectic mix of Japanese, Italian and Russian dishes. Intrigued, we entered.

Adventurously, we accepted the offer of some Russian wine. Full bodied and berried, it was delicious. Our evident surprise led the waitress to explain that Russian food and drink has improved hugely over the last few years. As it turns out, since the United States and the European Union placed sanctions on Russia after their annexation of Crimea, food imports have been scarce. As a result, Russian producers have been forced to meet the demand and quality expected today. As a result, Siberian wines and cheeses now win awards around the globe.

When we left the restaurant, it was late. Only a day had passed, yet we had filled every minute with history, culture and food. The next three days followed a similar format and we continued to make our way down the list of museums and sights. A boat ride along the river is a must-do for alternative views of the Kremlin and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Afterwards, sit on the rooftop Strelka bar opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and watch the 3-mile-long line of pilgrims move slowly forward.

On the third day, we were due to board an overnight train to Saint Petersburg, but there was still so much left to do. Truth be told, it was probably too much for another three days, let alone one.

Nonetheless, I was satisfied. Moscow had revealed itself to be a fascinating and impressive city. While the city infrastructure isn’t as up-to-date as most capitals, the needs of every modern traveler can be met. It certainly isn’t the cold and unfriendly place envisioned by most in the west. Moscow’s winning attribute is its omnipresent sense of untouched history. This is a feature that is so often lost amongst hordes of tourists in Europe’s capitals.

It goes to show: what we hear about places we haven’t been in the news or through general hearsay, we can formulate pretty strong prejudices in our mind. While the political realities may still be ugly, by visiting, you can learn to separate and appreciate the everyday, the culture and the history of a place. On one side of a great red wall in central Moscow, a tyrannical leader works. On the other side, wholly separated, lies a magnificent Red Square where an overwhelming sense of history reveals the essence of Moscow and of Russia. And it is truly remarkable.

Pharmacodynamics

Trekrezan ® (or Trekresan ® ) is an immunomodulatory drug with apparent adaptogenic properties. The drug stimulates the production of α- and γ-interferons, it helps to increase and correct the immune status of the body due to the activation of the cellular and humoral immunity, it stimulates the phagocytic activity of macrophages. The drug strengthens the body’s immune system, increases tolerance to physical and mental loads, reduces the effects of various toxins, and increases the body’s resistance to hypoxia, low and high temperatures, and other adverse conditions. The drug has a pronounced antitoxic effect in case of poisoning with ethanol, organic solvents, and salts of heavy metals.

Intended uses

  • improvement of the immunity (prevention and treatment of colds, flu, ARVI and other viral and bacterial diseases);
  • improvement of the physical, mental performance and prevention of fatigue, improvement of the body’s resistance to various stressful effects (hypoxia, hyperthermia, hypothermia);
  • secondary immunodeficiency state, including the one following the prolonged antibiotic therapy;
  • part of the complex therapy in case of poisoning with salts of heavy metals;
  • part of the complex treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome.

Contraindications

  • hypersensitivity to any of the drug’s components.
  • hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose and galactose;
  • lactation period;
  • children under 12 y.o. (because of the lack of data on the effectiveness and safety of the drug use).

Dosage and administration

Per os. To improve the immunity and to prevent colds For adults and children over 12 y.o. – 0.2 g/day for 7–14 days. During the treatment of colds, flu and ARVI For adults and children over 12 y.o. – 0.6 g/day on the first day, then 0.2 g/day, daily for 7 days. To improve physical and mental performance and to improve the body resistance to various stressful effects 0.6 g/day on the first day, then 0.2 g/day, daily for 7 days. In case of poisoning with salts of heavy metals 0.4–0.6 g/day, daily for at least 5 days. To reduce manifestations of alcohol withdrawal syndrome 0.4–0.6 g/day, daily for 5 days. If necessary, the treatment is repeated with 1-2 months intervals between the courses.

In rare cases , allergic response.

Symptoms of intoxication because of the drug overdose have not been recorded.

    The frame/bike is for XC riding and would of been classified as either 'Recreational' or 'Beginners' model, it's not a expensive super light XC racing frame and it's not a cheap rubbish department store frame. The 2002 4500 frame doesn't have disc brake mounts on it, but you can bolt a IS disc brake mount onto it.
