Britain’s Got Talent 2022: How to get tickets to the live shows
Share this with
Britain’s Got Talent 2022 is nearly at an end as the acts fight it out to reach the grand final in June.
Series 15 of the ITV show has seen a nine-year-old magician leave judges speechless and Simon Cowell reunited with the Teletubbies .
And with auditions almost over, we’re set to move on to the live semi-final stage of the competition – when 40 hopefuls including this year’s five Golden Buzzer acts, will battle it out for the coveted prize of £250,000 and a spot on the bill at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
For the first time since 2019 the live shows will have an in-person studio audience – but are tickets still available, and how can you get your hands on some?
How do I apply for tickets to the BGT live shows?
As with every year, tickets to be in the audience are free when you apply for tickets on the Applause Store website.
Nearly all of the remaining shows are fully booked but there are still some tickets available for the final night of semi-finals at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London, on Friday, June 3.
As always, you need to meet the terms and conditions – the most important that you must be over the age of eight to apply and if you are under 17, you will need an adult to go with you.
When are the semi-finals and the grand final?
The Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals will be aired every night at 8pm from Monday, May 30 to Friday, June 4 and will be airing live across the week.
Hosted by the comedy duo and long-standing favourites of the show Ant and Dec, the semi-finals will see 10 acts go through to the finals after being picked by the public and the judges.
The latest series will conclude with its grand final, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 5 at 7.30pm.

Contestants will be hoping to impress judges and viewers at home with their talents as they compete for a huge cash prize and for the chance to be on the bill for the Royal Variety Show - which promises to be an extra special one as it's the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year.
In 2020 comedy pianist Jon Courtenay won the £250,000 cash prize.
The auditions have already taken place, they were filmed earlier this year at the London Palladium in the West End, where hundreds of performers gave it their best shot in front of a live audience.

BGT Stability Tour Black Putter Shaft Review
Putter shafts we talking putter shafts.
Tyler Fitzel Author at Independent Golf Reviews
T_Fity tested the Stability Tour Black putter shaft in a Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Laguna 2.5 that has been his gamer for over 15 years. It was tested on-course for multiple rounds as well as indoors on various practice greens.
This is the definitive BGT Stability Tour Black Putter Shaft Review for 2021.
ℹ️ About: BGT offers their Stability Putter shaft in a sleek tour black model with 30% more carbon and 13% less size.
✅ Pros: State of the Art Technology, Streamlined and Slim Look, Tour Preferred Control and Feel, Works on Any Putter, Make More Putts.
⛔ Cons: The cost of some complete putters.
⛳ Verdict: BGT makes one cool looking putter shaft that will improve your putting.
I’m the guy at Independent Golf Reviews that talks about shafts on woods, irons and wedges. Most golfers I fit will go out of their way to tell me that the shaft is the most important part of the club. They want to make sure they have the right shaft in every club. Yet, when I fit a putter, not one person asks me if the putter shaft is correct for them. A putter swing has the same elements as any other club such as Club Path, Face Angle, Attack Angle and Hit Location, which results in Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Spin Rate and Direction. It was only a matter of time before a putter shaft caught up with technology like the shafts in other clubs. Breakthrough Golf Technology and the Stability Tour Black putter shaft is that shaft. I tested the Stability Tour Black putter shaft in a Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Laguna 2.5 which has been my gamer for over 15 years. It hit all the marks on what I normally judge equipment by and changed my thoughts on buying another putter without a BGT shaft.
The goal of the BGT Stability Putter Shaft is to improve putter specific motion and performance. The work of Barney Adams, a true pioneer in the game of golf, means technology in shafts has finally made its way to the putter. Simply put “ The putter shaft has not changed for over 50 years; it’s a simple steel pipe. Over the years head designs for putters have evolved and gotten dramatically heavier. This has resulted in shafts that are not stable or strong enough to keep these heavier, advanced putter heads from oscillating, twisting and turning. In fact, the strongest part of the putter shaft is under the hands, where it does the least good; the weakest part is near the club head.”
I heard an engineer from one of the top club manufacturers once say, “Technology is about materials and application.” From that point on, I’ve tried to break down equipment with that thought in mind. As Breakthrough Golf Technology says, “ Stability limits unwanted movement by stiffening the shaft by 25% without abolishing feel and reducing torque by almost 50%, to deliver the club face squarer at impact .”
The technology in a Stability Tour Black shaft helps to improve aspects of the putting stroke we normally wouldn’t think of. The new Stability Tour Putter shaft has added 30% more high modulus carbon fiber to help increase stiffness from their original shaft and balances like steel to allow for exact swing weight matching. It has a 13% reduction in the shaft diameter, making the Stability Tour shaft have a more streamlined transition from the graphite section to the steel tip. I really like the black-out appearance which blends well with nearly any putter head and has a smooth gloss, but not shiny coating. The contrast of black and silver with my putter set up has people asking me about what I am putting with.

Breakthrough Golf Technology Stability Tour Cobalt Shaft Review
Breakthrough golf technology stability tour cobalt shaft.
The Breakthrough Golf Technology Stability Tour Cobalt is the newest addition to the BGT family. BGT’s innovation successfully minimized torque by introducing a substantial increase in weight and a stiffer profile. In response to input from professional Tour players, BGT introduced a new, more streamlined iteration known as the Stability Tour. The Stability Tour facilitated a smoother shift from conventional steel shafts to a comparably well-balanced yet notably more stable alternative. As time progressed, BGT expanded the Stability Tour line to include various color options. The most recent addition to this array is the freshly launched Stability Tour Cobalt featuring a metallic blue paint scheme with gold and black lettering.
First thing’s first, this new Cobalt colorway of the BGT Stability Tour looks amazing. With an almost pearlescent paint, the shaft has the slightest sparkle in direct sunlight. Nothing distracting or overpowering, but certainly aesthetically pleasing. In flat, darker conditions, this shaft fades to a deep blue. In my personal opinion, this finish represents the most attractive offering thus far from Breakthrough Golf Technology.
The contrast created by the black connector into the steel extension fits the overall aesthetics and flows nicely into the putter head. I put this shaft into a custom black Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 putter and it looks fantastic. It is important to note that the BGT Tour Stability profile has a sleeker design compared to their standard Stability shaft model. Slightly larger than a traditional steel shaft, the Stability Tour has a more streamlined appearance than the larger standard model .
How Does it Feel?
In contrast to the original Stability shaft, which had a somewhat subdued feel due to stability-focused enhancements, the Breakthrough Golf Technology Stability Tour models offer a slightly softer touch with improved feedback. BGT crafted the Stability Tour with “30% more high modulus graphite,” resulting in a gentler and more responsive touch. Considering its name, you should expect a certain degree of firmness. While the response is outstanding, be prepared for the putter to have a slightly sturdier feel than you’re likely used to with steel. This rigidity aids in maintaining control and precision by preventing the putter head from twisting, which proves particularly advantageous with larger mallet heads. Mallet and blade fans alike will appreciate the added feel the BGT Tour Cobalt adds to your flat stick.
On-Course Performance
Regardless of which BGT shaft option you go with, you should expect to go through an adjustment period. A stiffer profile and added weight will change the feel of your putter slightly. But this is a good thing. After talking to others here at DRH who tested the standard model, transitioning to the Stability Tour was more straightforward and quicker compared to the standard model. A productive session on the practice green is typically all it takes to adapt seamlessly.
The rigidity makes it easier to control the putter head and I get a clean roll on the ball. This gives me more confidence in the putter itself and more consistency on the green. I specifically felt my confidence jump in the 5 to 15 foot putt range. This shaft let me focus more on speed by trusting the shaft to help deliver the putter squarely every time. Both my lags and made putts definitely improved from that consistency in delivery.
Final Thoughts – Breakthrough Golf Technology Stability Tour Cobalt Shaft
Testing any of the Breakthrough Golf Technology shafts is worthwhile if you’re a player seeking enhanced putting stroke stability. However, it’s crucial to remember that putting preferences are highly subjective. Regardless of your setup, aim, or stroke path, the putter must provide a comfortable feel in your hands and visual appeal to your eye.
If you are considering pulling the trigger but not sure where to start, you are in luck. BGT shafts are super versatile and can be installed in any putter you use. Their adapters accommodate single bends, double bends, or whatever else your current putter has! Due to these factors, I strongly recommend prioritizing a fitting session for any BGT Stability shaft before making a decision. These shafts are undoubtedly distinctive and represent an intriguing choice in the evolving market of multi-material, low-torque putter shafts.

Breakthrough Golf Stability Tour Putter Shaft Review
- on December 24, 2019
50 Words or Less
The Breakthrough Golf Stability Tour putter shaft is a slimmer, lighter version of the original Stability shaft. Higher balance point makes it feel more like traditional steel shafts.
Check out the latest from Breakthrough, the Stability One Tour HERE
Introduction
Last year, Barney Adams, the man behind Adams Golf, brought Breakthrough Golf Technology’s first product, the Stability Putter Shaft (review HERE ), to market. Using a combination of steel and graphite, it claimed to deliver superior results on the green. BGT’s newest release is the Stability Tour, a shaft that pairs the performance of the Stability shaft with a more traditional look and feel.
Listen to the Barney Adams discuss Breakthrough Golf on the Plugged In Golf Podcast HERE .
Check out the latest Stability shaft, the Stability Carbon, HERE
BGT enters the driver market with the Brava. Full review HERE .
Part of the reason for creating the Stability Tour shaft was to make it look more like a traditional putter shaft. The new Stability Tour has a 13% reduction in diameter compared to the original, a difference which is very noticeable (see photo above). In addition to the reduced diameter, the Stability Tour uses a black sleeve/adapter, which is less noticeable than the silver one on the original Stability shaft.
In the photo above, you can see the Stability Tour next to a black steel shaft. While you can certainly see the difference, I found that when I was putting I didn’t notice it at all.
The feel of the Stability Tour has changed substantially from the original. First, the weight has been reduced from 125 grams to 110 grams . Additionally, the balance point was moved toward the grip to bring it more in line with traditional steel shafts. Both of these changes worked exactly as planned: the Stability Tour feels identical to a traditional steel shaft.
To soften the feel of impact , Breakthrough Golf put 30% more carbon into the Stability Tour shaft . As I said about the original Stability shaft, I don’t find that it softens the feel as much as it cleans it up. Pure strikes feel almost identical with steel vs. the Stability Tour, but mishits don’t have as much “noise” with the Stability Tour.
Performance
The claims that Breakthrough Golf makes about the Stability Tour putter shaft seem bold but are very mild by golf industry standards. They state that the Stability Tour has an 82% decrease in [club face] deviation from square compared to steel and that the Stability Tour delivers a more consistent smash factor across the face . This translates to putts that have more consistent distance and more accurate start lines.
While those claims are eyebrow-raising, in talking with Barney Adams (listen HERE ) he is very clear that the Stability shaft isn’t going to magically transform anyone’s putting . The Stability Tour should help golfers improve their distance control and reduce three-putts, but it won’t make every 20 footer find the bottom of the cup.
Based on my initial results and my experience with the original Stability Shaft, I’m excited to have the Stability Tour in my bag next season . I prefer the more traditional weighting of the Stability Tour and the slimmer look. While it may be a bit of the honeymoon effect, I was seeing more mid-range putts end up in or next to the cup compared to my steel shafted putter with the same head.
When products are redesigned with feedback from Tour, they don’t necessarily get better for the average golfer. In the case of the Breakthrough Golf Stability Tour shaft, the upgrades that the Tour players want will be enjoyed by amateurs as well. With a slimmer look and more traditional weighting, the new Stability Tour makes for a seamless transition away from steel. If you’d like to demo a Stability shaft for yourself, head to your nearest Club Champion .

‘Ishant and Jadeja had an exchange …Ponting tore into Indian team': When Australia conspired to stir controversy in BGT
Aakash chopra made a startling revelation about the 2018-19 bgt, during which the australian broadcasters stooped low to create controversy..
Over the past few years, the Indian and Australian cricket teams have engaged in some thrilling red-ball battles, with the Asian Giants enjoying an edge in bilateral contests. Australia have failed to beat India in a Test series in the past decade, which includes two series losses Down under. Since winning the 2014-15 Border-Gavaskar 2-0 at home, Australia have lost the next four series against India -- two to Virat Kohli 's side (2016-17, 2018-19), Ajinkya Rahane (2021) and Rohit Sharma (2023). However, did manage to outclass India in the World Test Championship Final last year.
Under Kohli's leadership, India became the first Asian side to register a Test series win on Australian soil in 2018-19. The Indian team outclassed Australia 2-1 and made them uncomfortable on numerous occasions with an aggressive brand of cricket that former skipper Kohli endorsed in red-ball cricket. Before that series, the Australian tour always looked like a big mountain to climb for India, as apart from quality opposition, they also had to compete against a hostile home crowd.
Former India cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra made a startling revelation about the 2018-19 BGT, during which the Australian broadcasters stooped low to create controversy around the Indian team.
"This is one thing I learnt when I travelled to Australia in 2018 for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for a commentary stint with Channel 7. Generally, we were taught to stay neutral in commentary. India won the first Test there and lost the second, and then I understood that when India plays in Australia, they don't play against the Australian team only but against a whole country, which includes their whole press," Chopra said in a podcast on 2 Sloggers YouTube channel.
He revealed that during the Perth Test, Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja had a heated exchange on the field, and the broadcasters amped up the mic to make a fuzz out of it. He also asserted that legendary Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting tore apart the Indian team for no reason after the incident.
"They used to release videos - they did it in front of me when Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja had a heated exchange with each other while standing in the 30-yard circle. The broadcasters amped up the stump mic as they were abusing each other. They cut the clip and shared it with the press in front of me. After that, when we were talking off the field, I was like, what are we actually trying to achieve because it's nothing? Then Ricky was there with us, and he said that 'making a mountain out of a molehill'. The moment he went into the air, he tore into the Indian team, and I was stunned that he had just said something else a few minutes back," he added.
‘Leave the neutral commentary playing against Australia in Australia’
The 46-year-old said that after that incident, he understood that he needed to throw neutral commentary in the thrash while doing a stint against Australia Down Under.
"Channel 7 was very kind at that time; they called me in the commentary box. I didn't have the stint at that time, but they called me to present India's case. I said there is no team where players have no disagreements; it's a game played by adults. The next day when we lost the Perth Test, I was driving somewhere and picked a newspaper, and the front page news was about Ishant and Jadeja with the headline,"There is in-fighting in the Indian cricket team," it was front-page news. Then, I understood that leave the neutral commentary when you are playing against Australia in Australia and then understand that the flag of India is more important," he concluded.
