This 11-night, 6-round Escorted Tour for 10 – 15 couples begins in Buenos Aires for 3 nights. After sightseeing and golf at Buenos Aires Golf Club we fly to San Martin de Los Andes on the shore of Lake Lácar in north Patagonia. We’ll play Chapelco Golf Club twice, a Jack Nicklaus design ranked #4 in Argentina along with Greg Norman’s El Desafio , a charming and challenging 9-hole layout in a spectacular setting. Next we make the relaxing and scenic 60 mile drive along the "Camino de los 7 Lagos" (Seven Lakes Route) to Bariloche and the 5-star Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. We are here for 4 nights to play Arelauquen Golf Club , the best club in Patagonia, along with the Llao Llao Golf Club the day after our catamaran cruise across Lake Nahuel Huapi to explore Isla Victoria.

Argentina as a Golf Destination
Considered the"best golf destination of the latin american and caribbean region".
Argentina holds over 300 golf courses, 3 of which are amongst the Top 100 courses of the world outside the United States (Golf Digest Ranking). Another highlight are the beautiful landscapes surrounding them: plains bordered by rivers and natural ponds in the Buenos Aires plains; the great links of the Atlantic Coast; the courses surrounded by vineyards in Mendoza; the magnificent Patagonia; and the ones located in the stunning landscape of the Mountains of Cordoba. Many of them are professional level courses, and every one of them provide with all first level services any good golfer appreciates. All this served as motivation for the top golf tourism organization, IAGTO, to declare Argentina as the "Best Golf Destination of the Latin American and Caribbean region".

The Best Golf Courses In South America
South American has some world-class courses across the continent. Here are some of the best.

Football might be the main sporting passion across the continent of South America, but there are hundreds of excellent golf courses situated throughout.
From Argentina to Uruguay, lets take a look at some of the best.
Olivos, Argentina
A photo posted by on
Traditionally regarded as one of the best golf courses in the country, Olivos has an English flavour to it thanks to a resemblance to heathland courses in Britain. The large and quick greens in particular add to the difficulty.
Jockey Club, Argentina

Perhaps Argentina's most famous course is the historic Jockey Club, which was designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie in between his work on a couple of other half decent tracks by the name of Cypress Point and Augusta National.
But while these veritable cathedrals of golf have been tweaked and altered over the years particularly in the case of the Masters venue, Jockey Club is thought to be the one MacKenzie design that remains true to his architectural principals.
The green complexes are as demanding as they are stimulating, with heavily contoured putting surfaces surrounded by all manner of humps and hollows, swales and borrows. It's no surprise to learn that accuracy and placement is paramount at this picturesque 36-hole venue.
Chapelco, Argentina
Located down in the Patagonia region of Argentina is Chapelco, a golf club designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack. They have fashioned a course that rivals the mountainous backdrop for the attention of those fortunate enough to play it.
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Another excellent layout in Argentina is Buenos Aires Golf Club which hosted the 2000 World Cup, won by none other than David Duval and Tiger Woods .
El Potrerillo de Larreta, Argentina
Tom Doak has said in the past that the only thing holding this golf course back from being one of the very best in the world, is having a world class set of greens. Praise indeed.
Ushuaia, Argentina
For the intrepid golfer the only real option is to press on to the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego where the shabby but endearing nine-holer at Ushuaia, the most southerly course on the planet, lies in wait. It's a long way down so unless icebergs and penguins are your idea of perfect playing partners, don't try it in winter.
La Paz, Bolivia
The course at La Paz has some remarkable geography. At up to 10,650 feet above sea level, this is the highest golf course on the planet. The club was founded in 1912 and the course established at the current site in the 1940s.
Luther Koontz, an American associate of the great Dr Alister MacKenzie, was responsible for the design and it’s a pretty memorable one. The terrain is quite incredible, with canyons and cliffs to negotiate. The island tee on the 12th is reached by two separate bridges.
Santapazienza, Brazil
Tom and Logan Fazio were asked to construct this golf course and they have created a design that uses the spectacular land to great effect. Combined with water features and importantly, the freedom to express themselves, Santapazienza is truly unique.
Be careful after putting out on the 5th though as the cart part to the next tee goes right into a lake. In fact there is a sturdy path just below the surface which gives the illusion you are driving on water!
Rio 2016 Olympic Course, Brazil
Built for the 2016 Olympic Games, this layout is l ocated within the lush Marapendi Natural Reserve, and has a North American links feel to it.
Designer Gil Hanse embraced the openness of the land and the stiff breeze is often a troublesome foe.
The greens are firm, very large and mainly undulating, and when combined with the significant amount of bunkers and water, you’ll find it unforgiving to the average golfer.
Terravista, Brazil
Probably the most iconic golf course in Brazil, Terravista compares favourably to Pebble Beach. It's remote location in the northern state of Bahia and spectacular clifftop setting make the arduous journey well worth it.
Sao Paolo, Brazil
Founded in 1902 by British railway engineers and designed by Stanley Thompson and Robert Trent Jones , this place has serious pedigree. Regularly rated in the top five in Brazil, the course conditions match its historic credentials. Located in the heart of the city and surrounded by a bubbling metropolis, the course is a sparkling oasis.
It’s a tight, surprisingly undulating parkland layout with water featuring regularly.
Established trees line the fairways and are a real feature – their vivid colours mean pleasant views in all directions.
Los Leones, Chile
Golf has been played on this land for nearly 90 years after Santiago Golf Club moved its location a couple of times. It is situated right next to one of Santiago's major boulevards and has a truly eccentric and cosmopolitan feel to it.
The par-5 4th is particularly interesting as it measures 560 yards but goes in a dead straight line for its entirety. Never has it been more important to hit the ball straight!
El Rincon, Colombia
Thanks to being located in an area at 8600 ft with a tropical latitude, Bogota has one of the best climates in the world for golf.
As a result there are lots of golf courses in and around the city of Bogota in Colombia with El Rincon often recognised as the best of the lot.
Robert Trent Jones designed this world-class layout which hosted the World Cup in 1980.
Lomas De La Dehesa, Chile
The landscape here is dominated by one overwhelming feature. Looming to the east, the imposing Andes mountains tower 23,000ft above sea level, creating one of the most breathtaking vistas in South American golf. The severity of the terrain is obvious and feels like it casts a shadow over the fairways below.
The quiet course allows plenty of opportunities to take in the panorama and enjoy the walk. Precision is king here, as length is not a problem. The course is a mere 6,300 yards and at an elevation of 25,000ft, the ball will fly half a club further than usual.
Quito, Ecuador
Your mind may not immediately go to Ecuador when thinking about great golf but that shouldn't be the case given the quality of Quito.
Established in 1947 it has a beautiful mountainous backdrop, and given you would be playing at 9,000 feet, you will be playing with the length of Rory McIlroy !
Carmelo, Uruguay
Uruguay may not be famed for its golf but there are several good courses worth any players attention. The Four Seasons resort at Carmelo has a really good American-style course whereas the purists may prefer the Alister MacKenzie design below.
Club de Golf de Uruguay, Uruguay
After completion of Cypress Point, MacKenzie was asked to travel to Argentina which was booming economically heading into the 1930's.
Whilst there he produced several designs, one of which was extending the nine-holer at Club de Golf Uruguay, situated near the city of Montevideo, to 18 holes.
As expected with a MacKenzie design, it is aesthetically pleasing but challenging for any golfer who seeks to be adventurous and daring in their play.
Notable Mentions: Cordoba (Argentina), El Desafio (Argentina), Ellerstina (Argentina), Mar del Plata (Argentina), San Andres (Argentina), Nordelta (Argentina), Gavea (Brazil), La Serena (Chile),Patagonia Virgin (Chile), Valle Escondido (Chile), TPC Cartegena at Karibana (Colombia), Carlos Franco (Paraguay), Yacht and Golf Club (Paraguay), Lima (Peru), Los Inkas (Peru), Cantegril (Uruguay), Club de Golf del Cerro (Uruguay), Laginuta (Venezuela)

Jiyai Shin, Alison Lee lead Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship
- Associated Press
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. -- One of Seri's Kids had an unlikely share of the lead in the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship after a windy Saturday afternoon at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Jiyai Shin -- the 35-year-old South Korean star who last played a full LPGA Tour schedule in 2013 -- shot a bogey-free 8-under 63 on the course overlooking the Pacific Ocean, then ended up tied for the lead hours later when defending champion Ruoning Yin closed with a triple bogey.
Pak is one of the most influential players in LPGA history, a pioneer for South Korean players to follow her path. Shin, who now plays the Japanese and Korean tours to be closer to home, received a sponsor exemption in the event.
"Seri is my idol, still," Shin said, "When I first time playing LPGA, they called (us) Seri's Kids. This is her first hosting event, so I feel so proud. Just glad to playing here."
A stroke ahead entering the par-4 18th, Yin drove to the right into thick rough under trees, with more trees ahead. Instead of hitting sideways to the fairway, the 21-year-old Chinese player tried to punch a low shot through an opening in the trees toward the green, but the ball struck a trunk and bounced back into more trouble.
Seven strokes behind second-round leader Malia Nam entering the day, Shin was tied with former UCLA player Alison Lee (68) at 9-under 204.
"I've never won out here before and that's something I'm still looking for, my first victory on the LPGA Tour," the 29-year-old Lee said. "It would be really cool to win at home in front of all my friends and family."
The fourth-ranked Yin had a 71 to drop into a tie for third at 7 under with second-ranked Nelly Korda (67) and former University of Southern California players Nam (72) and Gabriela Ruffels (65).
"Overall, it's a good day," Yin said. "I rate 8 our of 10 today because I hit a lot of really solid shots. Just had some bad luck on the last hole."
Korda won the LPGA Drive On Championship in late January in Florida in her last event.
"I would say the toughest day with the wind and a little bit softer conditions with the rain we had in the morning," Korda said. "I would say the wind was a huge factor."
Shin had five straight birdies on Nos. 3-7 and played the last four in 3 under with birdies on Nos. 15, 16 and 18. A two-time Women's British Open winner with 11 LPGA Tour victories, the 5-foot-2 player is one of the most accurate hitters in women's golf -- a good fit for the hilly, tree-lined course with small greens.
"Well, the first thing is you can see the how beautiful ocean view here, so we need to be focusing on the golf," Shin said. "And then, actually, the setting is not for the long golfer. ... I'm not a long hitter, so when I practice round, `OK, I might have a chance (to win) on this golf course.'"
The 24-year-old Nam, from Hawaii, is making her second career LPGA Tour start.
"It was definitely a struggle today with the wind, but I think it's tough for everyone," Nam said. "I just tried to minimize the mistakes and keep moving forward."
Ruffels, from Australia, had five straight 3s in a front-nine 31. She birdied Nos. 2-5, all par-4 holes, parred the par-3 sixth and birdied the par-5 seventh.
"I putted really well out there today," Ruffels said "I kind of knew that it wasn't going to be a very low scoring day with the wind."
As Biden tours the country and visits swing states, Trump is fundraising and playing golf
As president joe biden campaigns for reelection at a furious pace, his 2024 rival, donald trump, is behind closed doors.
WASHINGTON (AP) — As President Joe Biden visited five cities in a multiday trip last week, former President Donald Trump was hardly seen in public, spending most of his time in South Florida.
Trump has held just a single public campaign event since he locked up the Republican presidential nomination on March 12: a rally in Ohio funded not by his campaign but by backers of a Senate candidate whom he had endorsed. The events page on his campaign website has had nothing listed.
Biden, meanwhile, has been barnstorming the country. After a trip to North Carolina on Tuesday, the Democratic president will have touched down in all of the 2024 swing states in the less than three weeks since his State of the Union address.
The differing approaches reflect the deficits each side is facing.
Trump’s campaign faces a serious money shortfall and mounting legal bills as he fights four criminal indictments. His focus in recent weeks has been on wooing potential donors as his campaign builds its infrastructure across battleground states to catch up to Democrats, who have a significant head start.
For Biden, 81, the tempo is a message in and of itself as he aims to combat persistent voter concerns about his age. Whoever wins in November will be the oldest president to be inaugurated, though polls find that voters see the issue as more pressing for Biden. Trump is 77.
Both sides are projecting confidence and accusing the other of trying to hide its candidate’s problems.
Biden “looks like a lost puppy any time he ventures onto the campaign trail,” said Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who accused Biden’s campaign of limiting his events to “stops at field offices with a few paid staffers who look less enthused than attendees at a funeral.”
Trump, she went on to say, “is greeted by crowds of enthusiastic Americans everywhere he goes, and he will continue to hold massive rallies around the country with tens of thousands of supporters who want to ‘Make America Great Again.’ Joe Biden’s campaign is a failing, boring, disaster. President Trump is building the greatest political movement in history.”
Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa disagreed.
“We are two weeks into the general election and Donald Trump can’t raise money, is hiding at his country club, and is letting convicts and conspiracy theorists take over his campaign,” he said in a statement. “That is not a winning strategy.”
Biden’s team is trying to sell the public on his accomplishments as concerns persist that voters are unaware of what he’s done in office and are instead focused on frustrations over high grocery costs and concerns about the sharp rise in illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“We have not been talking to folks about the issues that President Biden has been delivering on,” said Yolanda Bejarano, the state Democratic chairwoman in Arizona, where Biden campaigned last week. “That’s what we are determined to do.”
His aides have packaged his campaign stops with official White House events designed to promote his policy agenda and legislative achievements.
Trump has been spending his days in and around his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida — fundraising, hosting elected officials who frequently visit, and meeting aides.
But Trump has also made time for other pursuits. He recently said he won two championships at his Palm Beach golf club, writing on his social media site that they were “very exciting” wins on a “GREAT and difficult course.” He visited his golf club in West Palm Beach on Sunday to accept two trophies from a cheering audience.
Trump faces a slew of pressing legal challenges. That includes a Monday deadline to pay more than $454 million in fines and interest. If Trump doesn’t come up with the money, New York’s attorney general could start the process of seizing his assets.
Instead of his signature large rallies, aides say, Trump has been attending fundraising events five to six days a week. That includes lunches and dinners that bring in immediate cash as well as relationship-building meetings that could result in future checks.
On Thursday, his super political action committee held a $100,000-per-person roundtable with Hispanic leaders at his golf club in Doral, Florida, according to a copy of the invitation obtained by The Associated Press.
“There is great enthusiasm in the community,” said Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Cabrera, one of the hosts.
Not holding events also saves the campaign cash it does not have to waste. Trump’s rallies cost “half a million a pop,” Trump senior advisor Chris LaCivita said in a podcast interview last year.
Federal campaign finance filings released last week showed Trump’s political operation at a serious disadvantage and struggling to catch up to Biden and the Democratic Party, which raised $53 million last month and ended February with $155 million cash on hand.
Trump’s campaign and his Save America political action committee, two key groups in his political operation, reported raising a combined $15.9 million in February and ended the month with more than $37 million on hand.
The empty public calendar is also a reflection of scheduling changes. Trump had been planning to spend much of the next six weeks in court at his New York hush money trial, which was supposed to begin Monday. That trial has since been postponed, forcing the campaign to readjust. (Trump is expected to attend a Monday hearing.)
But even without public events, the developments in Trump’s legal cases as well as a steady stream of inflammatory statements — like his assertion that Jews who vote for Democrats hate their religion and Israel — ensure he dominates news cycles.
That assertion came in one of a series of interviews he has done with friendly broadcasters since becoming his party’s presumptive nominee, including a sit-down with right-wing British leader Nigel Farage.
Some allies of the former president argue that holding fewer rallies helps him not only by saving money but by limiting opportunities for him to go off-script and say something that might alienate swing voters.
The campaign, however, rejected that thinking and said it has no intention of running the kind of “basement campaign” that Trump aides assailed Biden for running in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump flouted the guidance of his own government’s public health experts on social distancing and mask wearing, holding rallies and White House events before vaccines were available, like a reception for his Supreme Court nominee that became a superspreader event.
Biden has also brought in tens of millions of dollars for his campaign in recent weeks. On Thursday, he’ll raise even more at a joint event with former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in New York that may break party fundraising records for a single event.
Otherwise, he has been favoring smaller, more intimate events — joining a family for a meal at their kitchen table, popping into small businesses and meeting supporters in backyards.
Like Trump’s, his campaign questions the value of expensive-to-produce rallies this far from Election Day. And there are real concerns about his ability to fill a room given still-flagging Democratic enthusiasm as well as the protests he faces from voters angry over his support for Israel’s war against Hamas.
The smaller events are designed to produce short social media moments that resonate with Biden’s target voters online and reach audiences that would probably miss more conventional campaign stops.
Last week, he met several dozen supporters in Reno, Nevada, center of the state’s sole swing county, before heading to south-central Phoenix, where he mingled with about 80 people at a storied Mexican restaurant as his campaign launched a coalition called “Latinos con Biden-Harris,” or “Latinos with Biden-Harris.”
“I need you badly, I need the help,” Biden told them. “Look, there’s only about six or seven states that are going to determine the outcome of this election. They’re toss-up states, and this is one of them.”

In October 2022, amid a flurry of media appearances promoting their film “Tàr,” the director Todd Field and the star Cate Blanchett made time to visit a cramped closet in Manhattan. This closet, which has become a sacred space for movie buffs, was once a disused bathroom at the headquarters of the Criterion Collection, a 40-year-old company dedicated to “gathering the greatest films from around the world” and making high-quality editions available to the public on DVD and Blu-ray and, more recently, through its streaming service, the Criterion Channel. Today Criterion uses the closet as its stockroom, housing films by some 600 directors from more than 50 countries — a catalog so synonymous with cinematic achievement that it has come to function as a kind of film Hall of Fame. Through a combination of luck, obsession and good taste, this 55-person company has become the arbiter of what makes a great movie, more so than any Hollywood studio or awards ceremony.

9 Things to See in Moscow's Red Square
Sir Francis Canker/Getty Images
In most cases, you'll be entering Red Square from the north, passing landmarks such as the Bolshoi Theatre and Duma parliament building as you make your way southward. Although you don't necessarily have to pass through the Voskresensky (or Resurrection in English) Gates in order to gain access to the square these days, they definitely provide a sense of arrival, to say nothing of the way their left arch frame's St. Basil's Cathedral if you look from just the right angle.
An interesting fact is that while a gate of some kind has stood here since the mid-16th century, the one you currently see wasn't built until 1994, having been destroyed in 1931 so that tanks could enter and exit Red Square during military parades.
St. Basil's Cathedral
TripSavvy / Christopher Larson
Few sights are as iconic not only of Moscow and Red Square but indeed of Russia than St. Basil's Cathedral, whose colorful, onion-shaped domes are a symbol of the country around the world. Officially known as the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, this church has stood since 1561, which is quite miraculous when you consider all the turbulent history that has transpired since then.
Among other things, religion was severely prohibited during the Soviet period , which led some to believe that this emblem of the Russian Orthodox church might not withstand the tenure of the USSR.
An interesting fact is that St. Basil's is the so-called "Kilometer Zero" of Russia; all of Moscow's main roads (which can take you anywhere in Russia) begin at the exits to Red Square. In this way, St. Basil's iconic status also has an extremely tangible element.
The Kremlin
TripSavvy / Christopher Larson
When you think of The Kremlin, it's unlikely that positive images enter your mind. The fact that simply saying the word "Kremlin" is too vague a descriptor (most Russian cities have their own Kremlin complexes; you should say "Moscow Kremlin") notwithstanding, this misunderstood place is incredibly beautiful, even if you don't like the policy that comes out of it.
Senate Square
In spite of its name, which refers to the role the building that rises above the square played during Imperial Russia, Senate Square is actually home to Russia's presidential administration, currently helmed by Vladimir Putin. In order to see where Russia's legislature operates from, walk just outside Red Square to the Duma parliament building.
Dormition Cathedral
Dating back to the year 1479, the gold-domed Dormition Cathedral pays homage to an Orthodox religious feast that commemorates the death of the Virgin Mary . As is the case with St. Basil's, it is curious that such a conspicuously religious structure was able to survive through the Soviet period.
Armoury Chamber
Though it takes its name from the fact that it housed Russia's royal arsenal when it was built in the 16th century, the most notable resident of the Kremlin's Armoury Chamber today is the Russian Diamond Fund.
Notable Kremlin Towers
Robert Schrader
The interior of the Moscow Kremlin is more beautiful and inviting than you'd expect, but the walls and towers that rise around it better live up to the intimidation with which the complex is associated.
Borovitskaya Tower
Named to commemorate the dense forest that once stood atop the mount where it's built, this tower is extremely picturesque. Built in the late 15th century, it's visible from most places in the square, and also as you walk along the Moskva River.
Nikolskaya Tower
Also built in the year 1491, this tower currently suffered destruction at the hands of Napoleon's army in the 19th century. What you see now is the result of an 1816 re-design and renovation, though artillery fire during the Russian Revolution also caused superficial damage to the tower, named to honor St. Nikolas of Mozhaysk , so it's difficult to know which elements of it are original.
Spasskaya Tower
Known in English as the "Savior's Tower," this iconic, star-topped tower is perhaps the best-known of all the Kremlin's towers. Built in 1491 like the other two towers on this list, it's certainly the most photographed. As a result of its proximity to St. Basil's, it often makes its way into tourists' pictures.
Mausoleum of Lenin
Just as it's strange to learn how many religious monuments survived through the Soviet period, it's a bit odd to think that Lenin's preserved body still sits in a mausoleum just beneath the walls of the Kremlin on Red Square, given the lack of consensus about the ultimate impact of his Revolution, even in Russia.
It's not guaranteed that you'll be able to see the body (which, believe it or not, seems to be improving with age ) when you go, and if you do you will likely have to wait in line, but even strolling past the outside of the Lenin Mausoleum, flanked by stone-faced guards that almost look like statues, illuminates the gravity of his body still being here.
GUM Shopping Center
You might cringe, at least initially, when you realize that one of the most iconic stops on a tour of Red Square is a department store—until you see said department store, that is. Built in 1893 and known during Soviet times as the State Department Store, GUM ( Glávnyj Universáľnyj Magazín or Main Universal Store in English) hearkens back to the grandeur of the late 19th century, both seen from the outside (especially, when lit up at night) and the interior, which might have you feeling like you're further west in Europe.
A trip inside GUM is a particularly good idea during winter, when frigid temperatures outside will have you savoring the heat, the quality of souvenirs, confections and other goods sold inside notwithstanding. Also, make sure not to confuse GUM with CDM, which sits near the Bolshoi Theatre, even though both are stunning and iconic in their own right.
State Historical Museum
The Russian State Historical Museum is located near Voskresensky Gates, though you should wait until after you've seen the first few attractions of Red Square and the Kremlin to head back there and go inside. To be sure, as you pass by its facade (whose late-19th century grandeur somewhat obscures that fact that it's currently a museum accessible to the public) you might not even think to try and gain entry.
Once inside the museum, you can plan to spend at least a couple of hours, given that artifacts here date back to the very beginning of the Russian state in the ninth century. As is the case with GUM, this will be a particularly alluring prospect if you visit in winter, when Moscow is arguably at its most beautiful, but certainly at its least tolerable.
Minin-Pozharsky Monument
It's somewhat easy to disregard this monument, which pays homage to the two Russian princes who ended the so-called "Time of Troubles" in the mid-16th century, during which Polish-Lithuanian forces occupied Russia, among other awful things including a famine. That's because the statue currently sits just at the base of St. Basil's Cathedral, which makes it very difficult to photograph or even see without being overwhelmed by that much more famous edifice.
Though the statue originally sat at the very center of Red Square, it came to be an obstacle to the movement of tanks during the Soviet period, much like the Voskresensky Gates. As a result, authorities moved it during that time, and it's stayed where you currently find it ever since.
Kazan Cathedral
Taken by itself, the smokey-pink Kazan Cathedral is an architectural marvel; originally built in the 17th century, the church you find here today, located just north of the GUM department store, dates back only to 1993.
Unfortunately, since it sits not only in the shadow of GUM, but also in the shadow St. Basil's and the Towers of the Kremlin, it's easy to miss entirely if you aren't looking. As a result, you might wait until you've seen just about everything else in Red Square before coming here to take photos, and to appreciate the understated beauty of this oft-overlooked cathedral.
Moskva River
As you head south from St. Basil's Cathedral to exit Red Square, make sure to walk onto Bolshoy Moskvoretskiy Bridge, which crosses the Moskva River. If you look due north, you can get an excellent shot of the church framed, on the left, by the towers of the Kremlin. Directing your gaze a bit to the west allows you to see the skyscrapers of Moscow City as they rise above the Kremlin's walls.
Walking westward along the riverbank is also a worthwhile excursion, for the views it provides of Red Square and the Kremlin, as well as the fact that doing so takes you to other iconic Moscow attractions, including Gorky Park and the Pushkin Museum. The views you enjoy from the river and the bridge are particularly stunning at night, though you should make sure you bring a tripod if you want to get a clear picture, given how strong winds over and near the river can be.

"Incredible how they hate South America, such disrespect";"A shame" - Tennis world discontent with new 2025 season ATP Tour calendar
T he tennis calendar for the 2025 ATP Tour has been released, with 60 tournaments taking place across 29 countries. Many of the changes affect tournaments in South America, with only two tournaments being held in the continent.
While most of the new calendar mirrors the 2024 ATP tour, there have been a few significant changes. The 2025 ATP calendar does not feature the 250-level tournaments in Portugal's Estoril (the country's only tour-level event). Argentina's Cordoba, France's Lyon, and the US' Newport and Atlanta. Instead, new events in Bucharest, Romania, will take thoe spot in 2025.
Moreover, the BMW Open in Munich, the Qatar Open in Doha and the Dallas Open have been upgraded from the 250 tier to the 500 tier. The ATP Masters 1000 Western & Southern Open and the Canadian Open will become 12-day tournaments next year.
In addition, the Hamburg Open has been moved from July to May in the lead-up to the Roland Garros while the Los Cabos Open will be played in July instead of February.
Fans voiced several issues with the 2025 ATP calendar on social media. Many, including Argentine tennis star Diego Schwartzman , found the new calendar disrespectful to South America due to the elimination of the Cordoba Open. One fan said that it was disrespectful how much the continent was "hated".
"It's incredible how they hate South America, such a disrespect," the fan's comment read.
Diego Schwartzman criticized the ATP's decision and called it a "shame" that only three tournaments were held in South America.
"@atptour's decision to get an ATP250 to Argentina and the entire region is confirmed... from 4 tournaments to only 3... to get tournaments and possibilities to all of South America, I don't see it being a great decision. A shame," Diego Schwartzman tweeted.
One fan said they "felt offended" with the treatment given to Argentina and Brazil despite their tennis histories.
"I truly am offended by the treatment argentina and brasil get. Whether you like it or not both countries have great tennis history and Argentina in particular has multiple players inside the top 100. it's insulting the way we are being treated," the fan's comment read.
Another fan stated that tennis on grass had been marginalized despite starting on the surface.
"Tennis started on grass but it has been marginalized; tennis on grass has been insignificant for a long time. The ATP is not going to change that anytime soon," the fan's comment read.

New tennis youngsters emerge during 2024 ATP Tour's Golden Swing
The 2024 ATP Tour's Golden Swing, i.e., the clay-court tournaments in South America, saw the rise of a few youngsters. A relatively unknown Italian player, Luciano Darderi, upset the odds to lift his maiden tour title at the Cordoba Open. The 22-year-old defeated seeded opponents like Sebastian Ofner and Sebastian Baez en route to the title.
Local wildcard Facundo Diaz Acosta emerged victorious at the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires. At the biggest ATP tournament in South America, the Rio Open, Sebastian Baez won his first title of the year. In the final, he defeated Mariano Navone, another player who made his mark in the tournament.
Baez also went on to win the ATP 250 Chile Open after beating local star Alejandro Tabilo in the title contest.
