Best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With hits such as Elenore , She’d Rather Be With Me , It Ain’t Me Babe, You Showed Me and the title of the tour, Happy Together , the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Ron Dante joins the group to delight with his own mega-hit, Sugar Sugar .

We are proud to present Jay and the Americans! Few groups have ever reached the musical heights with hits from 1962-1971. This group charted an amazing 5 Billboard Top 10 hits and 12 Top-20 hit records. Their breakout hit was She Cried . Their next chart hit was Only In America , which they followed with hit songs Come A Little Bit Closer , Cara Mia and This Magic Moment , which hit the Billboard Top 10.

One of the most successful bands to come out of the 60’s, The Association has sold millions of records. Their album, The Association’s Greatest Hits (Warner Brothers) is now double platinum and continues to be one of the longest best-selling albums in the history of the company. A few of their hits include Cherish, Windy, Never My Love, and Along Comes Mary.

Joey Molland

From their  legendary lineup, Joey Molland continues the unforgettable legacy of Badfinger. One of the original signings to the Beatles’ Apple Records label. They had their first hit single with a Paul McCartney penned song, Come and Get It , which went to #7 in the U.S. charts. Badfinger followed this with their own compositions No Matter What , Day After Day (produced by George Harrison), and Baby Blue , which went to #8, #4 and #14 respectively.

Also known for their harmony-driven pop sound, The Vogues had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as Five O’Clock World, My Special Angel, and Turn Around Look At Me .

The harmonious family act of brothers and sister Bob, Paul, & Susan Cowsill, who inspired the smash hit ‘70s television show, “The Patridge Family”. They are sure to delight with their best-known songs, Hair, Indian Lake , The Rain, The Park, & Other Things  and more.

Live Review: Happy Together Tour – The Cowsills, The Vogues, The Buckinghams, The Association, Gary Puckett, Ron Dante, The Turtles – Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, Florida – June 1, 2022

happy tour 2022

The Happy Togethe r tour, which was created by David Fishof in the mid-eighties, has become a tradition for many baby boomers who crave the music of the sixties. Every year the tour, which consists of The Turtles (Flo & Eddie) and numerous other 60s pop bands, rolls into cities across the U.S.  Patrons often show up in tie-dye attire and hair-challenged men wear hippie wigs.  Adding to the atmosphere, vendors sell vintage records, cassettes, scented candles, clothing, and pop art memorabilia.

happy tour 2022

The tour has become a Rock At Night tradition in the last decade. Thanks to COVID, the world hasn’t experienced the tour since 2019 (our last show experience was 2017).  So the kick-off of the tour at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, had a special significance as baby boomers again met to break bread with their favorite sixties artists.

As I arrived to the theater on June 1 st , the lobby was buzzing with boomers. Having spent a lot of the last two years masked and indoors, it was nice seeing this many seniors out and about—smiling and full of life. A few crochet vests, boots, and of course, tie-dyed shirts were observed, but this year, people seemed to be wearing mostly street attire. Only a few wore face masks since the requirement has been lifted in our state.

The first band that appeared promptly at 7 p.m. was The Cowsills, which consisted of Bob, Paul, and Susan Cowsill.  During the evening The Cowsills sang hits like “The Rain, the Park, And Other Things,” “Indian Lake,” “We Can Fly”, and “Hair/Let the Sunshine In” (from “Aquarius”).  During the “Hair” song the videos on the screen behind the band included ads for Dippity Do, Glemby Girl Salons, and hair styles of the day.

happy tour 2022

Between songs the band quipped and said, “We changed it up. We’re telling jokes.” Susan Cowsill asked, “Why did the alligator wear a vest?” As the audience shook their heads, she responded, “Because he was an investigator.” After hearing a roar of “ah’s’ and laughter, I knew it would be a nostalgic evening of music and “Dixie Riddle Cup” jokes.

After a short 20-minute set, The Vogues performed crowd favorites like “Special Angel”, “You’re the One”, and “Five O’Clock World”, which was the theme song of the The Drew Carey Show . For the tour, The Vogues consist of Troy Elich, Royce Taylor, and Shawn Stevens. Elich conversed with crowd, saying “As we passed The Cowsills they said, ‘young crowd’.” The last song was a 1968 mega hit for the band, “Turn Around, Look At Me”, which was featured in a Volkswagen commercial in 2019.

happy tour 2022

The Buckinghams came out looking extremely youthful singing “Hey Baby (They’re Playing Our Song)”, which had everyone dancing in their seats. Original members Nick Fortuna on bass and Carl Giammarese on vocals noted they have performed together for 55 years “because of you allowed us to make our music.” They told stories about performing on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour , the Ed Sullivan Show , and backing The Monkees.  They performed “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” and a personal favorite was 1967 hit “Kind of a Drag.”

There was an approximately 20 minute intermission before The Association entered the stage.  The harmonies were beautiful and sounded just like the records I remembered, with hits like “Cherish”, “Windy”, and “Never My Love”.  The Association noted there was controversy when they released their song “And Then Along Comes Mary, which by today’s standards would be a non-issue.  There were plenty of jokes about being “old” during the evening as the band thanked the crowd for “staying up late.”

happy tour 2022

Gary Puckett came on stage looking extremely fit as he belted out hits like “Lady Willpower, “Over You”, and “This Girl is a Woman Now”.  He noted, “I can’t hit the high notes now” but his voice was actually powerful and spot on.  Before introducing “Young Girl”, he thanked the crowd for “making it a humongous hit by putting out your 49 cents” and added “I am a neighbor and live here in Clearwater.” He said his personal favorite song is “Woman, Woman”—and one cannot argue with that.

happy tour 2022

Last up, The Turtles came on stage, with Flo (Mark Volman) wearing a vest comprised of Snoopy and Peanuts characters and saying, “We missed you. My paycheck went out the window and I haven’t seen it since you left.” Flo was hysterically funny as he played the old, absent-minded curmudgeon most of the evening.  Unfortunately, Eddie (Howard Kaylan) was not present but Ron Dante, a master in his own right, filled his formidable shoes. The crowd was even treated to “Sugar, Sugar”.

Flo explained, “We had our first hit song when I was 17 years old and in a surf band called the Crossfires. We did a Bob Dylan song. We didn’t understand the lyrics at the time—and either did Bob. It’s a really confusing song and we were too young to appreciate it.” He noted, “We were younger then but older than that now.” He asked the audience to participate by singing “No, no” and jumped into “It Ain’t Me, Babe.”

happy tour 2022

Flo introduced the phenomenal band which backed every artist during the evening: Godfrey Townsend (guitar), Manny Faocarazzo (keys), Greg Smith (bass), and Chris Camilleri (drums). Finally, The Turtles broke into crowd favorites “Eleanor” and “Happy Together”, which brought the audience to their feet dancing. The finale included all the featured bands together on stage.

I really enjoyed the show—and so did the audience which gave many standing ovations during the evening.  The performances were truly amazing and I was blown away by the voices–real, pure, and without Auto-Tune, people.  It truly is WORTH going to see the Happy Together tour so I urge people to catch it this summer.  Go alone or bring your parents for an evening of sing-along songs and AM radio nostalgia–I did!

Happy Together Tour Resumes in 2022

happy tour 2022

The Turtles continue as the signature headliners, but with the voice of the Archies, Ron Dante , again joining Turtles founding member and singer Mark Volman. (Fellow Turtles founder, Howard Kaylan, hasn’t participated  for several years.)

The rest of the 2022 lineup: Gary Puckett & the Union Gap ,  The Association , the Vogues, and The Cowsills . Together, they represent dozens of Top 10 radio hits. Watch them all perform in the opening night’s finale below.

Mark Lindsay – the longtime lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders – announced in 2021 that he would not be participating in 2021 or 2022, due to numerous ankle injuries. In addition, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night) was expected to participate in 2022 but also bowed out due to concerns about a pre-existing lung condition in the era of Covid.

The new edition, began June 1 and continues through August. Many of the dates were originally scheduled all the way back to 2020.

The Turtles have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Their hits include: “Happy Together,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “Elenore,” “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “You Showed Me.”

Watch  Volman and Dante perform “Happy Together” during the 2019 tour

Gary Puckett & the Union Gap enjoyed five Top 10 singles including their 1967 debut, “Woman Woman,” as well as “Young Girl” and “Lady Willpower.”

The Association returned to the lineup in 2021. One of the most popular singing groups to have come out of the ’60s, they are best known for their #1 hits “Windy,” “Cherish” and “Never My Love,” as well as the Top 10 singles “Along Comes Mary” and “Everything That Touches You.”

Watch them perform “Along Comes Mary” in 2019

The Vogues scored such Top 10 singles as “Turn Around, Look at Me,” “You’re the One” and “Five O’Clock World.”

The Cowsills have been part of the last several years of the tour. Bob, Paul and Susan Cowsill are a family singing group and the original inspiration for television’s  The Partridge Family  and are best known for the songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things,” “Hair,” “Indian Lake” and “Love American Style.”

Ray Charles’ Soulful Country Music’: ‘It’s Got to Move Me’

It is maddening that Chuck negron is not a part of Three Dig Night, It isn’t Three Dog Night if there is only 2 of them!

Gregorio

It’s now really only One Dog Night.

Jeff Tamarkin

They can do a tour with the One Top and the Temptation.

Elmer Fudd

From what I read Chuck is willing to sing with Danny Hutton but there is no interest with Danny. Hopefully, Danny and Chuck can honor Corey Wells and do a tour one summer.

Bob

Did anybody notice Gary Puckett replaced Chuck on this year billing for at least the first 3 shows of 2021? Does anybody know why?

Kathy

Chuck is taking a break this year but plans to be back for 2022. He announced it on a recent podcast interview with The Cowsills.

Styxchyk

Cory died some years ago.

JennyB

Of course, the year the tour comes to my town, Erie, PA, Mark Lindsay won’t be on the bill! Not fair! Oh, well, hope you get to feeling better, Mark. Maybe I’ll get to see you in a future gig! Still love ya’, dude!

Da Mick

I’ve loved this show for many years, and have gone to see a whole bunch of them, going way back now. Slowly but surely age and infirmity is taking its toll on the performers of this generation, to the point where they often have to put the show together with spit and wire, and just grab whoever is able to at least walk on stage. The biggest loss has been Howard Kaylan, that incredible voice of the Turtles, who hasn’t toured with the show for several years now. This year’s lineup has a few performers who can still thrill you — The Cowsills are marvelous, The Association still has their sound, and I’m sure Ron Dante does a credible job of filling in for Howard with the Turtles, as well as his own songs, but when you hear “Eleanor” you know it’s not THAT voice. The Classics IV, also don’t have THAT voice, which has long ago passed. The Vogues? Ehh, who knows? But I saw Gary Puckett years ago with this show, and he could no longer sing then. Don’t know when this video of him is from, but according to what I saw, he is no longer THAT guy. Chuck Negron really could pretty much pull off his songs, so that is a loss. And while best wishes go out to Happy Together Tour perennial stalwart Mark Lindsay, the truth is his vocals have long had no discernable character whatsoever. So, in truth, no big loss there, except if you’re in love with him, as many still are.

Despite these problems, I still love this show, and have been grateful to the Turtles for bringing it back year after year. I’ve seen many great performances, but in later years, many not so great performances, and even some folks that just shouldn’t even have been on a stage at that point (Wayne Fontana most recently comes to mind). The truth is, you have to wonder how much longer they will be able to find folks who are physically able to do these tours, and can still sort of pull off what they’re famous for. Which is why I’ve kicked myself many times for the shows I didn’t go to that are forever lost (Jack Bruce being one). And why I now constantly remind myself to get out there if it’s something that does mean something to me, because you never know when it’s all going to be over — for you, or for them.

storm

Gary Puckett sang in the show 2 yrs ago in Scottsdale.. sounded good.

moodymoose77

Gary Puckett sounded great in 2019 when I saw him at The Carolina theatre in Durham NC!!!!

Storm

Saw it is Scottsdale in 2019.. was much fun.. was 62 then so I was on young end of crowd. Great tunes brought back memories. I see they are not in AZ for 2022. Hoping they make it here.

Ann

My research shows that no member of the current Association plays woodwinds. When they sing “Windy”, does anyone play the flute or recorder, which Terry Kirkman used to play? Thanks

Lee

I think they use some sort of synthesizer for the flute part …just saw them in PA tonight

Tom

I saw the Happy Together tour last night in Quakertown, PA (7-29-21). The show was excellent! You should go & see it! It’s about 90 minutes of outstanding music!

Ron

Happy Together Tour in Louisville, KY on 8/24/2021 SNUBBED the Monarchs. Totally disrespected them by not mentioning that they opened up for them and it was their 60th anniversary.

Hi Storm, Glad to hear Gary Puckett could still do it when you saw him. He must have had a cold or something at the show we saw. I guess no one wants to draw attention to it if fans haven’t noticed, but for those who do (and it was difficult not to) saying something about your condition that evening would be better than leaving fans thinking that you don’t have much voice left at all anymore.

Storm

Gary Puckett sounded good in 2019 , going to the show in Scottsdale in July

Regbaby

FIVE dates in Massachusetts, but not ONE in Texas? Really, guys?

beatseeker

good article! i looked at the book, “shell shocked”, by howard, and noticed, once again,”with jeff tamarkin”… jeff, don’t you ever sleep? take a rest… ya got it coming…

Ha, sleep is so overrated. But thank you.

Joycee

Saw them Thursday night August 25, 2022 in Des Moines. Gary Puckett is 80 years old next month and he still sounds great. All the rest of them are great too lots and lots of fun! I’ve seen them for five times with different people in the lineup and love it every time!

HAPPY TOGETHER TOUR 2022

happy tour 2022

2022 will mark the 13th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, THE “HAPPY TOGETHER” TOUR.  The touring sensation that has criss-crossed the nation delighting audiences for a over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes.  The Tour is once again joined by THE TURTLES, who also act as musical hosts for the evening.  Along with THE TURTLES will be THE ASSOCIATION, THE GRASS ROOTS, THE BOX TOPS, THE CLASSICS IV and THE COWSILLS.

THE TURTLES are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound.  With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s.  Ron Dante joins the line-up to delight with his own mega-hits, “Sugar Sugar” and “Tracy.”

Also returning to the tour for 2022 are THE ASSOCIATION , who enjoyed massive radio success in the ‘60s with such #1 hits as “Cherish,” “Windy,” “Never My Love” and “Along Comes Mary”.  This iconic vocal group was a staple on the radio airways in the 1960s.

THE GRASS ROOTS dominated the radio during their heyday of 1967-1972 with their hits “Let’s Live For Today,”  “Midnight Confessions,” “Temptation Eyes” and “Sooner or Later” and others.  They achieved two gold albums , one gold single and charted singles a total of 21 times. Many an American soldier in south east Asia wrote letters home as “Let’s  Live For Today” played in the background.  Their tribute to our troops, old and young, is inspired and inspiring.

THE BOX TOPS recorded a string of hits including the worldwide #1 megahit song, The Letter, and 6 additional TOP 40 hits including “Cry Like A Baby,” “Soul Deep,” “Neon Rainbow,” “Choo,” “ Choo Train,” “Sweet Cream Ladies- Forward March,” and “Turn On A Dream.”

THE CLASSICS IV with their southern soft rock sound, they are one of the most popular and influential pop groups of the 60s and 70s. They achieved phenomenal success with multiplatinum hits “Spooky,” “Stormy,” “Traces,” and “Everyday With You Girl.”

Rounding out the bill are THE COWSILLS , the harmonious family act (two brothers and a sister) that inspired the smash ‘60s hit television show, THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY.  They are sure to delight with their best-known songs, “Hair,” “Indian Lake,” “The Rain The Park & Other Things (I Love The Flower Girl)” and more.

The tour has played more than 50 plus shows a year and 2022 will be no exception.

Part two of my wonderful musical weekend!

What if I told you that you could see the Cowsills, the Vogues, the Buckinghams, the Association, Gary Puckett and the Turtles all in one night?  No, really!  They are all together on the most recent HAPPY TOGETHER tour, which made a stop in Kansas City this past weekend.

For those who may not know this, the Cowsills was a group made up of a mother and her musical children.  Sound familiar?  That’s right.  The Cowsills were the inspiration for television’s “Partridge Family.”  On this night, brothers Bob and Paul, along with sister Susan, opened the show with a set of the most popular songs.  They even threw in the theme to television’s “Love, American Style,” which I had no idea they’d done.

The Vogues took the stage and opened with their classic “Five O’ Clock World.”  The group was in fine voice, with amazing harmonies.  The Buckinghams were represented by original members Nick Fortuna and lead singer Carl Giammarese, who was celebrating his 75 th Birthday this evening.

Next up was the Association, who sounded as good on this evening as they did in their heyday.  Songs like “Cherish” and “Never My Love” filled the Kauffman Center, with the crowd signing along.  Next up was the amazing Gary Puckett.  I had seen him in 1986 when he opened for the Monkees.  He didn’t disappoint then, and he didn’t disappoint on this evening.  With his distinct voice, songs like “Young Girl” and “This Girl is a Woman Now” rolled over the audience.  Mr. Puckett noted that Carl Giammarese was 75 but that Susan Cowsill was 63.  He also noted that he had them both beat as he will be turning 80 later this year!

Closing out the night was the Turtles, whose hit “Happy Together” gives the tour its name.  A big bonus, for me anyway, was that Ron Dante was the lead singer.  Dante, who turns 77(!) today also was the lead vocalist on the biggest selling song of 1969, “Sugar, Sugar.”  Which means that I can legitimately tell people that I saw the Archies in concert!

The night ended with everyone one stage in a mini-medley of some of the night’s best moments.

The HAPPY TOGETHER tour continues through the year.  You can find tickets for it HERE .

SONG LIST:  Cowsills:  The Rain, the Park and Other Things, We Can Fly, Indian Lake, Love, American Style, Hair.  The Vogues:  Five O’Clock World, My Special Angel, Turn Around Look at Me, You’re the One.  The Buckinghams:  Don’t You Care, “Hey Baby (They’re Playing Our Song), Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, Susan, Kind of a Drag.  The Association:  Windy, Never My Love, Cherish, Along Comes Mary.  Gary Puckett:  Lady Willpower, Over You, This Girl is a Woman Now, Woman, Woman, Young Girl.  The Turtles:  She’d Rather Be With Me, You Baby, It Ain’t Me Babe, You Showed Me, Sugar, Sugar, Eleanor, Happy Together.

Concert Review: Happy Together Tour, Tucson 2022

happy tour 2022

Oldies tours are always fun. They provide a wonderful forum for bands whose best days have gone by, but the songs are still the same, and still great. On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Tucson was treated to a glorious dose of nostalgia when the “Happy Together” tour swept through town. The newly christened Linda Ronstadt Music Hall played host to the 60’s oldies tour which features the biggest hits from six legendary acts.

Per the tour’s press release, “2022 will mark the 13th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, The ‘Happy Together’ tour. The memory filled music show has played more than 50 plus shows a year and 2022 will be no exception. The touring sensation has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s. With an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes. The tour is once again joined by The Turtles, who also act as musical hosts. Along with The Turtles will be Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Association, The Buckinghams, The Vogues and The Cowsills”. The current iteration of the show began in early June and continues through August.  Each band played between three and five songs to the delight of a packed house. First up on the bill, The Cowsills.

Per the tour site, “The harmonious family act of brothers and sister Bob, Paul, & Susan Cowsill, who inspired the smash hit ‘70s television show, ‘The Patridge Family.’” This was a perfect way to begin the show. After The Cowsills greeted the crowd, they launched into one of the defining hits of the late 60’s with “The Rain, The Park and Other Things”. More commonly known as “The Flower Girl”, the tune reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 1967. After ironing out some initial audio kinks, the family band charmed the audience with other hits including “Indian Lake” and a rousing rendition of “Hair”. A strong performance both musically and vocally! Next up, The Vogues.

Per their site, “Known for their harmony-driven soaring pop, The Vogues unique sound was instantly recognizable and memorable. It was a lively fresh rock ’n roll with an American style that pierced the British invasion. Their first song to top the charts at #4 was ‘You’re the One’ in 1965. The Vogues had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as ‘Five O’Clock World’, ‘Turn Around Look at Me,’ and ‘My Special Angel’.  From the mid 1960’s into the 70’s, they were heard on radio stations and top television shows including The Ed Sullivan Show. Still one of the top vocal groups touring today, The Vogues were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.” The current lineup features Troy Elich, Royce Taylor, and Shawn Stevens. This polished trio comes across smoother than silk and their harmonies are second to none! Following The Vogues was The Buckinghams.

Per their site, “One of the most beloved and respected Chicago bands ever to explode onto the national scene! The Buckinghams went on to become one of the top selling acts of late 1960’s, including their #1 hit ‘Kind of a Drag’. Other hits include ‘Don’t You Care,’ ‘Mercy, Mercy, Mercy’ and ‘Hey Baby, They’re Playing Our Song.’  In 1967, The Buckinghams recorded in Columbia’s New York and Los Angeles studios, in between more than 300 tour dates. With 3 chart hits at one time on 2 labels, in 1967, Billboard Magazine named them ‘The Most Listened to Band in America’. Original founding members Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna joined the ‘Happy Together’ tour in 2012”. The songs were tight and strong. The Buckinghams sounded as close to their record as any act!  This performance was anything but a drag! On to The Association.

After a brief intermission, it was time for The Association to take the stage. Per their bio, “The Association enjoyed massive radio success in the ‘60s. Their #1 hits included ‘Windy,’ ‘Never My Love’ and ‘Along Comes Mary’. In 1967, The Association® made history being the first band anywhere to open a rock festival – the now historic, Monterey Pop Festival. In addition to RIAA certifications for 6 gold and 3 platinum records, the band also carries 7 Grammy nominations. The present roster features longtime members Jules Alexander, Del Ramos and Paul Holland”. After more than 50 years on the road, these guys can still rock! Never missing a note, the band provided the audience a bit of reminiscence overload, especially during their smash single, “Cherish”. Following The Association, the one and only Gary Puckett.

Armed with one of the most distinctive vocal ranges of the last half century, Gary Puckett is in a class by himself. His bio states, “With his band The Union Gap, Puckett’s unmistakable signature voice garnered six consecutive gold records and top ten Billboard hits. The titles consist of multiple pop classics such as ‘Woman Woman,’ ‘Lady Willpower’, ‘Over You,’ and ‘This Girl is a Woman Now.’ In 1968 Gary Puckett and The Union Gap had six consecutive gold records and sold more records than any other recording act…including the Beatles.” A longtime stalwart of the “Happy Together” tour, Puckett is always a showstopper. This show was no different. And while Gary may not be the full version of his 1968 self, he is pretty close. A blistering version of “Young Girl” brought the loudest cheers of the night! Last group, The Turtles.

Fittingly, The Turtles were the sixth and final group of the night. According to their bio, “The Turtles have sold over 40 million records worldwide. They are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. Their timeless hits include ‘Elenore,’ ‘She’d Rather Be with Me,’ ‘You Showed Me’ and, ‘Happy Together.’ Also the title of the tour, ‘Happy Together’ reached #1‘in March of 1967. The Turtles ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s and continue as the signature headliners. This lineup sees the voice of the Archies, Ron Dante, again joining Turtles founding member and singer Mark Volman. (Fellow Turtles founder, Howard Kaylan, hasn’t participated for several years.)” The tunes were cozy and familiar as The Turtles once again sent the audience on a groovy nostalgia trip. The harmonies, so warm and inviting, provided a fantastic way to end the night – or so the crowd thought…

The encore saw all acts return to the stage and perform portions of their top hits. It was a fun celebration recapping the night’s festivities. It also put it in perspective just how many classic hits the audience had just been treated to. Overall it was a tremendous evening of music and memories!

The rockers previously announced they were setting out on a massive tour in 2024 — marking their reunion and first run of live shows since 2019 — and, on Tuesday, Heart revealed they're expanding the dates. The group helmed by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson will now continue their run, titled the Royal Flush Tour, across North America through the end of the year, along with an A-list slate of special guests.

While the "Barracuda" group's shows this year were originally set to kick off in late April and wrap up by September, they'll now be out on the road through the fall until mid-December.

Heart's 2024 tour kicks off on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, continues in the U.S. through May, before heading to Europe for a handful of dates in June and July. On July 30, they'll resume their North American leg in Columbus, Ohio, and then play through the rest of the summer and into the fall.

The newly announced dates begin on Sept. 26 in San Francisco and last until Dec. 15 in Las Vegas. Fans will be able to catch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees at stadiums in major cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Nashville, New York City, Vancouver, San Diego and many others.

Throughout the Royal Flush Tour, the "Magic Man" band will be joined by fellow rock legends Cheap Trick, and select shows will also include support from BTO featuring Randy Bachman and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, the project from the son of the English rock group's original drummer.

The Wilson sisters shared a statement in press release about the upcoming concerts.

"We’re so excited to announce more tour dates," Ann, 73, said. “The exceptional talent of the band — Ryan, Ryan, Paul, Tony and Sean — brings a whole new level of energy to Heart’s live performance."

Nancy, 70, added, "I am incredibly proud of the show that we have crafted and am looking forward to reconnecting with even more fans. We can’t wait to share our music with everyone and celebrate the big electric energy of a completely live on the spot rock show."

The Royal Flush Tour comes after the rock favorites celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.

It also marks their first time out on the road together since 2019, when the "Alone" group set out on their Love Alive Tour. At the time, the shows saw the Wilsons coming back together after the two experience a brief rift. (In 2016, Ann's husband,  Dean Wetter, assaulted Nancy's then-16-year-old sons  after they reportedly left a tour bus door open, which he pleaded guilty to two non-felony assault charges.)

Both Ann and Nancy also recently took time to record their own solo efforts: Ann with Fierce Bliss in 2022 and Nancy with You and Me in 2021.

The two hitmakers have both explained to PEOPLE in interviews that taking time apart only makes their work together in Heart stronger.

"[Taking time apart] allows us to bring stuff back to Heart that we didn't have before," Ann said in a 2022 interview . "We love each other. She and I really look forward to smooth sailing."

Meanwhile, Nancy shared in a 2021 conversation that it was "so amazing" to get back out on the road together on their 2019 tour. "I could see that the Heart fans really loved the big spectacle aspects of the show — even if Ann didn't love the bubble machine I had requested," she said. "But most of all we saw how much the Heart fans loved the Heart sisters reunited."

While the previously announced concerts are already on sale , tickets for the fall dates go on sale later this week. Ticket sales kick off with a presale for Citi cardmembers, which lasts from now until Thursday at 10 p.m. local time. The general on-sale will then follow on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
