How to view and clear your web browsing history in Safari on iPhone or iPad
Easily wipe your browsing history in Apple's Safari web browser in seconds.
How to find your web-browsing history
How to clear your web browsing history.
Clearing your browsing history on iPhone and iPad in Safari has been a straightforward affair for years now.
Sometimes, you may want a fresh start with your web browsing — perhaps to get rid of some history that may bring up a memory you'd rather forget as you type in a website URL in the address bar.
Apple makes this feature very easy to access on both the iPhone and iPad by offering two ways to clear your history. So with this in mind, here's how you can do just that and make a fresh start in Safari .
Viewing your web history in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 is very easy to do — and it's all done from Safari.
- In Safari, tap the Bookmarks button in the toolbar that's below the address bar.
- Tap the History icon in the upper right corner. Here, you can view your entire web history.
- Use the History search bar to find previously viewed pages.
If the time calls to wipe most or all of your web browsing history in Safari, here's how to do it on both iPhone and iPad.
To note, the below steps will be the same if you attempt to wipe your web browsing history on an iPhone 15 Pro Max , and an iPad Mini 6 for example.
- In Safari, tap the Bookmarks button.
- Select the History icon in the upper right corner.
- Tap Clear and select how much history you'd like to clear: the last hour, the last day, 48 hours' worth, or all recorded history.
One more thing… A feature no one talks about
Privacy on the web matters more than ever in these modern times. Websites store the pages you click on, especially when you sign into a page that can contain personal information about you.

It's great to have a feature like this in Safari — but it would be good to have this automated. To tell Apple's web browser to automatically clear history after 24 hours would be very useful, as you wouldn't leave a trail behind.
Regardless, it's still a good feature, and one you should use every week.

Want to erase some of your iPhone's browsing history?
Quick Links
How to erase single entries in safari's history list.
Normally, Safari on iPhone and iPad keeps track of which sites you visit in a special History list. While it's possible to completely wipe your history in Settings , you can also erase only more recent history if you'd like. Here's how.
First, open Safari on your iPhone or iPad. Tap the "Bookmarks" button (which looks like an open book). On the iPad, you'll find it in the upper-left corner of the screen beside the address bar. On an iPhone, it's at the bottom of the screen.
In the pop-up that appears (on the left side of the screen on iPad and over the whole screen on iPhone), tap the History tab (which looks like a clock face), and then tap the "Clear" button.
(Don't worry. It won't clear anything yet.)
After you tap "Clear," another pop-up will give you yet another choice. You can select "All time," "Today and yesterday," "Today," or "The last hour."
Choosing one of these options will remove your browsing history, cookies, and other browsing data from the point you select until now. For example, if you click "Today," all the browsing history from sites you visited today will disappear, but everything earlier than that will remain on the list.
Tap the option you'd prefer (or you can tap outside the pop-up box to cancel).
If you made a selection from the pop-up list, your browsing history will be cleared accordingly. It's all very quick and handy.
Oh, and one more thing before you go: In Safari's History list, you can also delete individual entries by swiping to the left on them with your finger. When a red "Delete" button appears on the right, tap it.
Using this method, only the single entry you just swiped will be zapped. This can be a nice, laser-focused way of erasing certain history items without having to clear everything at once. Happy browsing!

Additionally, your web browser may store details about the webpages you visited such as images, text and oter elements of the page. This information is stored in a cache and may be used to speed up loading times for returning visitors or to tailor ads to your preferences. Finally, cookies are also stored on your device and can contain data about website visits or preferences.

iPhone 101: How to view your Safari browsing history on your iPhone or iPad
Like most modern web browsers, Safari for iOS stores your browsing history so you can call up web pages that you previously visited on your iPhone or iPad. The feature is easy to access and works with any open Safari page on your device.
Open Safari for iOS on your iPhone or iPad.
Press and hold the back arrow button on the far left hand side of the bottom tool bar.
Your browser history menu will appear on the screen. From here, you can tap on a link to open it.
If you use iOS 7 and have multiple windows/tabs open, you can view each window's browser history by tapping the "multiple pages" icon in the bottom right of the tool bar and then selecting the target page to open it. When it is open, you can press and hold the back bottom to view the history of that particular session.
This only works for open tabs that originate on your device. If you use iCloud, you may be able to see pages that are open on another iOS device or Mac. Opening an iPad window from your iPhone, for example, does not allow you to view the history of that iPad browsing session.

Q1: How to clear Safari browser history on iPhone?
If you're experiencing sluggish performance on your iPhone or simply wish to clear your website data for privacy reasons, follow these steps to clear cookies and browser history:
- Launch Safari and tap on the "Bookmarks" icon located in the toolbar.
- Select the clock icon situated in the top right corner.
- Choose "Clear" to erase all your browsing history.
Q2: How long does the iPhone Safari history last?
The Safari history on your iPhone can last for an extended period, depending on your browsing habits and storage capacity. By default, Safari saves your browsing history indefinitely. However, you can manually delete it at any time.
If you have iCloud enabled, your Safari history might also be included in your iCloud backup, preserving it as long as the backup is maintained. The "Clear History and Website Data" option under "Settings" > "Safari" > "Clear History and Website Data" can also affect this. If set to "Never," your history remains until you manually clear it or restore your iPhone. In summary, your Safari history can last indefinitely unless deleted or overwritten during a backup or restore process.

Option 1. See Full Safari History and Recover Them with D-Back
If you're looking for the full Safari browsing history on iPhone, this is an quick and the most effective way to search and view - use iMyFone iPhone Safari history viewer to do the task. It will scan your device deeply for the browsing history (we will show you how to do that shortly) and then display the history one by one on a results page that allows you to view conveniently. D-Back even enables you to view and recover the deleted Safari history .
To use D-Back to view the history on iPhone, you need to first of all download, install and launch the program to your computer, both Windows and Mac versions are available. It offers 3 modes to find your Safari history - search from your iOS device, from iTunes backu p or iCloud backup . You can choose any one of them as you like. The steps of searching from iOS device are presented as follows.
Key Features:
- Support to view Safari history on iPhone before recovery
- Recover permanently deleted safari history without backup
- selectively recover the deleted safari history you want
- Compatible with various iOS devices, including iPhone 14 running iOS 16
Step 1: From the main window on the program, select “ Recover from iOS Device ” and then click “ Start .” Next, connect the iPhone to the computer using USB cables and wait for the program to recognize the device. Click “ Next ”.
Step 2: In the next window, select the type of data you would like to recover. Click “ Scan ” to continue.
Step 3: Once the scanning process is complete, select the files you want to recover in the results page and then click “ Recover ” to save to your computer. You can click “ Show only deleted files ” to filter the results which could be ideal if some of the webpages have been deleted.
Using iMyFone D-Back is an effective way to see your full history. But if you don't have a PC by your side, there are other options to view the history on iPhone without computer. The following 3 are just some of them.
It is possible to find your browsing history right on your iPhone’s settings. Here’s how to do that:
Step 1: Open the settings on your iPhone
Step 2: Scroll down to find Safari and then tap on it to open the “ Safari ” settings.
Step 3: Here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and then click on “ Advanced ”.
Step 4: In the next window, you should see “ Website Data ” tap on it and you should see some of your deleted history listed here.
With the modern version of Safari in iOS, Safari history is searchable. This means that you can easily locate any websites that you had previously visited. Here’s how to do it;
Step 1: Open the Safari app on your iPhone or iPad and then tap on the bookmarks/history button. It looks like the open book icon.
Step 2: Tap on the Book tab and then go to the History section.
Step 3: At the top of the History section, tap on the search box marked “ Search History ”.
Step 4: Type in the search term for the history you want to find in the search box and Safari will begin to populate the search results.
Step 5: If you tap on one of the populated results, Safari will open the page or website immediately.
iCloud is like a storage space where iPhone stuff is saved. If you turn on iCloud Backup, it regularly saves all your iPhone stuff. So, if you delete your Safari history by mistake, you can get it back from iCloud Backup.
But, remember that you'll have to erase all your current stuff on the iPhone to do this. Here's how to see your history using iCloud Backup:
Step 1: On your iPhone, go to Settings and tap General.
Step 2: Next, tap Reset and pick "Erase All Content and Settings."
Step 3: Just do what the screen says, and on the 'Apps & Data' part, tap "Restore from iCloud Backup."
Step 4: After that, log in to your iCloud account and pick the backup that has the history you deleted from Safari. The stuff you deleted will come back, and you can check out your old records. That's how you look at your history using iCloud Web.
Some iPhone users prefer using iTunes to back up their iPhones instead of iCloud. If that's you, you're in luck. iTunes covers nearly everything on your iPhone, even browser history. This can help if you're wondering how to see someone's search history on an iPhone.
So, if you've cleared your browser history, you can bring it back from your iTunes backup. But remember, when you bring back old data from iTunes, any new stuff added since the last backup will disappear. Here's how to check history on an iPhone using iTunes Backup.
Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC using a USB cable. If you're on a Mac, use the Finder app. If it's a PC, open iTunes.
Step 2: Click on your iPhone's icon and pick your device.
Step 3: Next, choose "Restore Backup."
Step 4: Then, select the backup that has your deleted browser history.
Step 5: Finally, click "Restore" and wait for the process to finish.
Bonus Tip. How to Clear Safari Browser History on iPhone
When your iPhone is running slow or you just want to clear your website data, here's how you can clear cookies and browser history to make it run more smoothly.
- Open Safari, tap on Bookmarks in the toolbar.
- Click on the clock icon on the top right corner.
- Choose Clear . Then all your browsing history will be erased.
A web browser is the first thing we turn to find several answers since there are endless content online. And Safari is the built-in browser for iOS devices. So it's important to learn the ways to see history in case you want to check again the web pages you've visited before. With 4 options listed in this tutorial, you can choose any one of them that works for you. In addition, to see the full history or recover deleted safari history without backup , iMyFone D-Back is a great choice.

‘Rose Titanium’ Could Be This Year’s iPhone 16 Pro Color
Toggle Dark Mode
For years, your iPhone color choices were limited to shades of grey, white, and gold. While that partially changed in 2018, when the iPhone XR introduced a much more vibrant array of colors, Apple’s higher-end iPhone XS models retained the more “serious” color palette.
However, Apple decided to change things up slightly in 2019 by giving us a mild splash of color with the Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro . Thus began the tradition of introducing a unique new iPhone Pro color each year.
That was Pacific Blue for the iPhone 12 Pro, Sierra Blue for the iPhone 13 Pro, and Deep Purple for the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 13 Pro also got an Alpine Green version six months later, the only mid-cycle color update to ever come to Apple’s premium iPhone lineup that also brought it back into line with the darker finishes of the other Pro models.
With Apple’s switch to titanium in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro lineup, it learned into a “Titanium” color theme, with the usual neutrals — Black Titanium, White Titanium, and Natural Titanium — joined by a Blue Titanium colorway that was reminiscent of the Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro.
Now that the iPhone 16 Pro is on the horizon, this has sparked the usual debate and rumors about what color choices Apple will make this year — especially considering Apple essentially ditched its long-standing gold finish in favor of “Natural Titanium,” marking the first time since the 2017 iPhone X that color was left out of the mix.
However, the iPhone X was also uniquely available in only silver and space grey. That in itself hearkened back to the simpler era of the iPhone 5 and prior models. Apple added gold for the first time in the iPhone 5s, which perhaps not coincidentally came out alongside the ill-fated iPhone 5c — the only time during that era in which Apple tried to introduce a more colorful low-end iPhone model.
What Colors Will Come to the iPhone 16 Pro?
Last month, leaker Majin Bu shared reports from his sources that suggested Apple was working on two possible new colors for the iPhone 16 Pro: Desert Yellow (aka Desert Titanium) and a heavier Cement Gray (aka Titanium Gray).
Based on the information I was able to find, the new colors of the iPhone 16 Pro could be Desert Yellow (Desert Titanium) similar to the gold of the iPhone 14 Pro but deeper and heavier Cement Gray (Titanium Gray) a shade of space gray similar to that used on iPhone 6. Other… pic.twitter.com/BWlYwAquS8 — Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) February 19, 2024
These were said to be the most plausible options out of several colors that were discussed, and the implication was that “Desert Titanium” could be the new gold but “deeper and heavier.” Meanwhile, Titanium Gray was expected to have a more metallic sheen than the current matte finishes of the iPhone 15 Pro.
Majin Bu made it clear that this report was “just a rumor,” so it’s probably not surprising that we’re hearing another leak suggesting the gold shade could be more like Apple’s rose gold — a favorite of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 years.
This latest rumor comes from a Weibo source shared on Twitter/X by ShrimpApplePro. It’s unclear whether Apple will call it “Rose Titanium” or simply “Rose,” but it’s believed that it will replace not only the Blue Titanium but also the Natural Titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro.
Well, according to the Weibo account, we will have a new color called Rose this year No natural titanium and blue titanium He was quite accurate on the iPhone 14 pro ‘s purple color. https://t.co/wVaPOOU7XR pic.twitter.com/BSs2H0tlID — ShrimpApplePro ? (@VNchocoTaco) March 26, 2024
That’s not necessarily a stretch. Apple made a big deal about titanium for last year’s iPhone 15 Pro lineup because it was new, but the branding is already starting to feel stale. Continuing that theme into the iPhone 16 Pro lineup would be a bit much.
The “Cement Gray” referred to by Majin Bu could still be on the table, as the Weibo post suggests it could be the replacement for “Natural Titanium.” Meanwhile, Black Titanium would get darker, giving us a return to the Space Black iPhone 14 Pro, while the successor to White Titanium is said to be closer to the silver white of the iPhone 14 Pro.
While the Weibo post includes some color swatches, these are based on descriptions rather than actual color samples, so the reality could be quite different from what we’re hearing. Rose, in particular, has a wide range of possibilities, from the deeply pinkish gold of the iPhone 6s to a lighter champagne-like shade with a slightly gold tinge.
The source for much of this information isn’t entirely clear, and it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve heard color rumors that turned out to be way off; around this time last year, leakers were predicting Dark Sienna, Pink, and Light Blue for the iPhone 15 Pro , and three years ago there was a lot of noise around an orange iPhone 13 Pro that never materialized.
Needless to say, we wouldn’t put too much stock in these reports just yet. As plausible as a return to Rose Gold may seem, it’s equally possible that it’s just wishful thinking on the part of those who miss the era of the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and original iPhone SE.
[The information provided in this article has NOT been confirmed by Apple and may be speculation. Provided details may not be factual. Take all rumors, tech or otherwise, with a grain of salt.]

Mastering iPhone Gestures: A Complete Guide
T hese days we do almost everything on our smartphones, and everything we do on our smartphones, we do with gestures. In smartphone terminology, a "gesture" is anything you do with your hands, face, or body to achieve an action on your phone. That covers everything from the simple tap to generating digital effects by making shapes with your hands (more on that later).
The iPhone has evolved considerably since the first model hit store shelves back in 2007 and the gestures we use to interact with our iPhones have evolved too. While most gestures are universal and will work regardless of your iPhone model, some are limited to recent models or require a current operating system. It's always a good idea to make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS.
Most of what you'll do with gestures is totally intuitive — swiping and tapping your way through messages and apps doesn't present too many stumbling blocks. However, whether you're getting your first iPhone or you're a seasoned smartphone veteran, gestures can do more than you probably know. If you're new to the iPhone game, we'll walk you through the basics of how to communicate with your phone, then stick around to learn some more advanced gestures, tips, and tricks.

Basic Gestures And How To Use Them
Even the most hidden features on your iPhone are achieved through some combination of gestures. Some are complicated and situation-specific and some are nearly universal. When it comes to gestures, there is nothing more useful than the humble tap. It is the foundation upon which all other gestures are built. Everything from opening apps to selecting contacts and changing settings is achieved by quickly tapping a finger in the right place.
Sometimes two taps are better than one. When reading through text, you can tap to place your cursor in a specific place. Tap again and you'll open a menu of additional options. If you've opened that menu by accident, tapping outside of it will close it. Likewise, tapping outside of an open keyboard will move it out of the way.
Let that tap linger and give it some quick motion in one direction or another and you've got a swipe. If you need to look through your photo library one picture at a time, you'll do it by swiping your finger quickly in one direction or the other. Scrolling works similarly, but with a more controlled motion. Slowly slide your finger across the screen in the direction you want to shift the text while reading an article or a social network timeline, and things will move accordingly.
Multi-Step And Two Finger Gestures
Once you've mastered tapping, swiping, and scrolling, you're ready to level up. These more complex gestures open up additional functions inside applications and let you manipulate in-app content more easily.
You might have noticed that your iPhone keyboard is too small to have all of the same options as a computer keyboard — space is limited when your screen ranges from just over 5 inches to just under 7 inches diagonally, after all. If you need an accented letter, you'll find it by pressing and holding the letter you want to modify. The press-and-hold gesture also comes in handy on Safari. If you want to preview a website turned up from a search engine, just press and hold on the link to open a preview window before you launch.
Adding an additional finger into the mix lets you manipulate content inside apps. Pressing two fingers to the screen and spreading them out will zoom in on content while pressing two fingers and moving them together will zoom out. Zooming is useful when reading text or searching your photo library for specific images. You can even zoom in on videos that you've recorded using your iPhone so you can finally figure out who was crashing the family picnic. Back in Safari, you can use the pinch maneuver from an active tab to "zoom out" and see all of your open tabs.
Advanced Gestures
These gestures will save you a bunch of time and effort when you need to copy and paste things. Select the content you want, tap or press and hold to open the options menu, then select copy. Move to the destination app, tap the open field, and select paste. Alternatively for photos, you could go to the destination app, select insert, open the photo gallery, and select the image you want. Or you could avoid all of that with a couple of gestures.
For photos, open the gallery in grid mode then press and hold the photo you want until it starts floating. At this point, you can add additional photos by tapping them with a separate finger. While holding your photo stack, use another finger to swipe to the home screen and open the destination app. You'll notice that your images are staying with you and you can drop them in their new home.
You can also copy, cut, and paste using three-fingered gestures. Once you've selected the content you want to move, copy it with a three-finger pinch or cut by doing a three-finger pinch twice in quick succession. When you're ready to paste, release your digital captive by reversing the motion and spreading three fingers on the screen. Best of all, you can copy, cut, and paste across Apple devices using the built-in universal clipboard function.
Making The Most Of Swipes
Swiping is an old standby, one of the basic gestures you'll use to do just about anything on your phone, but it has some lesser-known abilities you might not be aware of. You can use many of them without even unlocking your phone.
From the lock screen, swipe left and you'll open the camera app. That's especially handy if you catch sight of that elusive bird you've been tracking and don't have time to flip through menus. Of course, it also means strangers can take selfies if you leave your phone lying around. Swiping down from the lock screen opens Siri Suggestions, a collection of apps or processes Siri thinks you may need. Swiping up opens the notification center and swiping right opens the control center.
In the calculator app, you can delete numbers by swiping right or left, making up for the lack of a delete key. Switch between open apps by swiping side to side at the very bottom of your screen, and drag open windows down by pulling down at the bottom of the screen, using the iPhone's Reachability function. With effective use of swipes, you can do anything you want with one hand tied behind your back.
Shake It Up To Undo Or Redo
One of the best things about working digitally instead of in hard space is that things are impermanent. If you put an image in the wrong place or need to rewrite a paragraph, you don't have to start back at the beginning. On a computer, undoing a mistake is as easy as hitting Control-Z (or Command-Z, as the case may be), but there's no comparable combination of key presses on an iPhone. Instead, you have to give your phone a shake.
Jiggling your phone back and forth a few times triggers a popup window allowing you to undo whatever you've just done. You can use it to delete recently typed text without having to hold down the delete key, but it's not limited only to text. You can also use it to remove an accidental attachment in a text or recover an accidentally deleted email.
This is admittedly not the most elegant solution but it is effective, and there's something satisfying about shaking your phone like an Etch A Sketch to erase your mistakes. And if you decide that undoing your work was a mistake and you want it all back, just shake your phone again and it will reappear as quickly as it vanished.
Side Button Gestures
There aren't many physical buttons on modern iPhones but the ones they do have do some pretty heavy lifting. The side button, found toward the top of the phone's right edge is typically used to wake your phone or put it to sleep. The two buttons on the opposite edge are volume buttons, but they do so much more.
Double-clicking the side button will open your Apple Wallet. You'll get access to Apple Pay if you have it set up , allowing you to purchase goods and services, as well as anything else in your wallet. Everything from parking passes to concert tickets are at your fingertips with a couple of clicks. Hold down that same button to activate Siri and get directions or dictate a message.
The volume buttons have some hidden functions in certain apps or situations. You can use them to take a photo or video from the camera app, snooze or turn off an alarm, or silence the ringing of an incoming call. If you press the side button and the volume up button at the same time, you'll take a screenshot of whatever's on your screen. If you press and hold the side button and either volume button, you'll activate the SOS mode, where you can also force a restart of your phone. The side button gestures are humble but mighty.
Multiselect
Who among us hasn't found themselves buried beneath an email inbox thousands of messages deep, at least once or twice? If you've got a browser and a mouse handy you can trash the backlog pretty quickly but there isn't always an intuitive way to select multiple messages (or anything else for that matter) on an iPhone. The solution is a gesture.
On devices running iOS 13 or later you can select multiple items by dragging two fingers at the same time. Any app where items are presented in a list or a grid should be subject to this gesture, provided the developers took advantage of it. You can select multiple contacts to send a group message or snag all those old emails at once. Best of all, the multiselect gesture can be paused and begun again. Drag two fingers to select a group of items, lift your fingers to stop, and then drag two fingers to start again at a new spot.
Dealing With Text
It's less about the gesture itself and more about how you use it. Sometimes even simple gestures have more complex capabilities in the right situations. If you want to do anything with words in Messages, Notes, webpages, ebooks, or anywhere else, you can select and manipulate the text with a series of well-placed taps.
Move your cursor to a precise location by holding down the spacebar and moving your finger as if on a trackpad. Once your cursor is in position, you can select text by double-tapping on a word. Select an entire paragraph by triple-tapping with a single finger. To make more precise text selections, double-tap on a word and then move the grab points to exactly where you want them.
Tap again to open the editing options. From there you can cut, copy, paste, select all, replace, format, and more. When it comes to text, there's nothing you can't do or undo with the right tap at the right time.
Safari Gestures
Tapping and swiping are how you'll type in search terms, select URLs, and respond to messages online. They are also the gestures you'll use to pull off some of Safari's fancier moves . If you want to move from one active tab to another, there are a couple of gestural ways to do that. The first is to drag the address bar into the window. As you do, all of your active tabs will become visible and drop into a grid view. Alternatively, if you drag the address bar left or right, you'll slide from the active tab to its next-door neighbor.
While you're at the address bar, press and hold to bring up a menu of additional options like copying the URL or adding the tab to a group. In the tab grid view, pressing and holding a tab opens a menu with even more options like bookmarking or pinning the tab. Swipe right to left to delete tabs or drag and drop them to change their order.
If you're in an active window and want to go back to your previous page, just slide left to right. If you want to return to the first page later, swipe in the other direction. If you're looking for a page you were on a while back, press and hold the back arrow to see the tab's history. Tapping is all you need to browse, but with the right gestures, you can browse better.
FaceTime Gestures
Most iPhone gestures are about directly selecting what you want and placing it on the screen. You're tapping letters one at a time or dragging photos from one app to another. FaceTime gestures are the rare exception that translate your movements into visual expressions of love, sadness, or celebration.
With iOS 17, Apple added visual effects to FaceTime which are triggered by physical gestures. Creating a heart shape with both hands will light up the screen with a digital heart symbol, as if by magic. Giving a thumbs up results in a cartoon hand giving a thumbs up, the now-famous "like" symbol. Presenting a thumbs down does the opposite. Two thumbs up triggers a fireworks show; two thumbs down, a rain storm.
There are additional gestures too — a peace sign will fill the screen with balloons, two peace signs will fill the screen with confetti, and two "rock on" gestures (pinky and forefinger extended with the rest of the fingers curled) will set off a laser show.
The vast majority of iPhone gestures happen on your phone's front side which makes sense, that's where the touchscreen is, after all. However, it turns out that your phone's back half is also sensitive to touch and you can use it to pull off a wide range of activities with two simple gestures.
In your iPhone's Settings apps, open the Accessibility menu and select Touch, then Back tap. Once activated, you can double-tap or triple-tap the back of your phone to trigger actions of your choosing. You can set each of those gestures to open the camera app, turn on the flashlight, lock screen rotation, adjust the volume, and more.
It's worth noting that you'll probably do these gestures accidentally every now and again, just fumbling your phone in or out of your pocket. Choose your back-tap actions wisely, otherwise you'll end up confused when your screen rotation keeps locking for seemingly no reason.

Beautiful, and actually useful AI features!
I got the email announcement for this and had to download it immediately. While the AI research isn’t perfect, it does about as well (for me) as GPT-4 without the monthly subscription. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind paying a small monthly fee for it, but I’m glad it’s free for now. It’s also super clean and the haptic feedback makes it feel alive! Having the full screen taken up by the webpage with only a small navigation bar at the bottom is interesting, and I would complain about the lack of buttons, however for a mobile browser, I kinda like the simplicity. If this ever gets ported to iPadOS (PLEASE!!!!), I would like to see more buttons available with one click instead of having to hit the up arrow and then back. Can’t wait to see more cool features in the future!
Amazing, needs some work
I absolutely love Arc on Mac. And I so much want to be able to use Arc on all of my devices. But the truth is I don’t use my iPhone for web browsing that much. I use my iPad and my Mac. And unfortunately, there is no version of any arc for iPad natively. only the scaled versions of the iPhone apps, which are unfortunately just not suitable for normal browsing. At least there is the Arc sync app where I can get my tabs that I need. But that just adds many extra steps when on iPad it would be nice to just have an arc with sync and with all the features, that should be an arc. The four stars, however are because I know it is still new and I know they’re still working on everything. The one star missing is just for the fact that there is no native iPad app and there is no all in one app in general. If you have a Mac, I absolutely recommend downloading Arc. And if you use your iPhone for web browsing also recommend. And if you have an iPad, I would highly recommend sending out your request to the developers so that they know that it should be a priority.
I'm in love with this app. Seriously, thank you for just creating a simple, straightforward tool that can be downloaded and used in under a minute. No tedious account setup, no intrusive ads, no subscription pop-ups, and best of all, the app is simple enough to not even need a tutorial — you just type in whatever you'd like to search, and a beautiful, minimalistic article self-generates that provides more than enough knowledge than what a half-hour of searching on Google would have taught. I especially appreciate that the app just sticks to what it was designed best for and isn't attempting to execute additional features that aren't as useful. I definitely look forward to seeing what else this company has to offer! Their products feel very well intentioned.
