Description About Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise

Blackbeard’s Treasure Hunter is the Carolina’s largest pirate ship! Climb aboard for an hour-long interactive adventure that your family will enjoy and never forget! 

Your adventure will begin on the dock, where the kiddos will be transformed into little buccaneers! This is where they will get a pirate mustache, tattoo, and outfit!

Once aboard the ship, the crew will be on the lookout for Blackbeard’s treasure! Never let your guard down because you may come across some unwanted company like Bad Billy Bones. You have to find the booty (treasure) before he can and make sure he surrenders the key! Get ready to use high-powered water cannons to fight Bad Billy Bones, and he may even shoot back with his water gun! Once he is defeated, you will celebrate your treasure like true pirates! You will raise the Jolly Roger (victory flag), sing & dance, play some games, open the treasure chest, and all of the buccaneers will share some of the booty.

Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise does hold group events too! From Birthdays to School Groups and Church Groups, after-school programs, Youth Sports Teams, Family Reunions, Tour Groups, Corporate Outings, and Private Functions. They can accommodate up to 70 people for these events! For groups with children 12 years old or younger, they have a full pirate show that lasts an hour and 15 minutes, and the Pirate Ship will be available at the end of the cruise for 30 minutes to serve cake and ice cream. Wow! My husband and I decided to surprise our sons ( ages 6& 9) on a fun family weekend get away. Initially, I was looking to sign up with another pirate cruise company but they were booked. I am so happy we were able to reserve a spot with Blackbeard's Pirate Cruise. The staff was phenomenal (stellar customer service!)! The pirates were very convincing and stayed in character from beginning and end. There were so many fun activities to do on the boat along with face painting before the cruise. I would suggest to bring cash for drinks on the boat( water& soda) and for tipping the staff. I would definitely recommend Blackbeard's Pirate Cruise, my family and I enjoyed every minute on the cruise! We had so much fun that my 6 yo didn't want to leave lol! What an awesome experience for my pirate loving little guy. My kiddos are age 5 and 10. 5 year old was in heaven. 10 year old a little outgrown for the show but loved the sword fight. He was a champ for his lil bro. Truthfully I loved it, who doesn't love seeing their kiddo's dreams come true. When you arrive there is parking specifically marked for the cruise. You will walk past Captain Archie's and there is a white building (small) on the left where you check in. They have pirate gear for purchase but we opted to bring our own items from home. The crew made it such a cool experience for the kids. The cruise lasted a little over an hour. The main deck is where the kiddos enjoy the pirate cruise (parents can stay to help or sit on upper deck). The kids were kept active the whole ride (cannon fights, sword fights, water gun battle, mopping deck, treasure hunt and ended with a little dance party. At the end you can purchase the photo which is inside a "case." It is $20 or $21 with a credit card. I highly recommend. Check groupon for deals. My family of four got tickets for a total of $67.

The cruise was not enjoyable at all. It rained, and it wasn't a sprinkle - it. poured. Everyone was soaked and cold from the downpour, It rained the entire time. They never offered to let people come another day. I really feel that was wrong. It was miserable. In addition, they didnt even have enough water cannons for all the kids so all of them couldn't shoot the water cannons. It was a miserable hour and half soaking boat ride.

Wow! This was soooo fun! We called to book our first pirate cruise on Tuesday. It was super easy and they text me the directions. We got there 45 minutes before the tour as they said to arrive that early to get our face painting completed before the cruise. We got there and they checked us in right away. They have a few accessory packages you can purchase which include pirate swords, bandanas etc. They're reasonably priced between $6-$10. About 15 minutes before the cruise, a pirate came to the entrance and entertained the kids and about 10 minutes later we all boarded. This was their first cruise of 2020 so that was cool. They had a crew of 5 and had fun activities where we are basically trying to find a treasure. I loved the interaction between the crew and my kids. Our ride lasted right at 1 hour and was well worth every penny! Be prepared to get wet and bring a little cash to tip at the end of the ride.

Perfect treat for the kids! Big and little a like. Our family went on the Pirate Cruise to escape the strong currents and take a break from being in the water. It was my parents, my aunt, my brother and sister-in-law, my husband, and between us all four kids (3 four year olds and 1 eight year old) -- we covered pretty much every age range. Being on the water was nice - the breeze and the views of the houses along the Intercoastal, but the best part was watching the joy on the faces of our children and their cousins. Our niece (the eight year old) was almost too old for it, almost - she loved getting her face painted and participated in most of the activities with joy. The four year olds were in Pirate heaven, squirting the guns, mopping the deck, and sword fighting. They enjoyed every second. The "show" was great - they actors stayed in their roles and were great at making sure all the kids got to participate. The storyline was fun and the kids loved getting their pieces of gold. I recommend it for a day off the beach - the kiddos will thank you!

GIVE THESE GUYS THE OSCAR. But seriously a fun and safe time. We had a huge group of 16 and all ages and it was fun for everyone. TIP: Bring cash to tip the pirates!

This cruise was just what we needed to get our vacation started right! The kids had an amazing time! The staff was completely engaging. Our entire family had fun! Loved the fun and adventure!

Hands down I would do this cruise again. Our kids 6, 8, and 10 thought it was fantastic. The staff never broke character and were absolutely wonderful. The kids said it was their favorite thing we did in myrtle beach. Highly recommend!

What an excellent 1:30 minutes for kids! They loved it! Water cannons, pirate treasure, songs, dress up... Groupon for 3 was $59! Worth every penny!

What time should I arrive?

Arrive at the ticket office no later than 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Due to limited space on the boat, seats cannot be reserved if you are late. Make sure you allow adequate time for traffic and parking.

Does the ship cruise offshore?

No, the cruise navigates the calm waters of the Intracoastal waterway the same as Blackbeard did during his treasure hunting days.

How long is the pirate cruise?

Your pirate adventure will last approximately 60-90 minutes.

What is the capacity and what safety equipment is on board?

Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise is coast guard certified to carry a maximum of 75 passengers. There is plenty of seating available. Safety equipment on board includes radio, life jackets, state of the art electronics, and full compliance of all USCG required equipment.

What should I wear or bring on board?

Wearing comfortable clothing and bring sunscreen.

Can I purchase pirate gear or merchandise?

They offer a variety of costume pieces for sale including swords, eye patches, hats, telescopes, t-shirts and authentic Caribbean pirate necklaces.

Is alcohol served on board?

No, however, you are allowed to bring a small soft side cooler with the beverage of your choice. Please refrain from opening or consuming beverages while not on board. Consuming beverages anywhere other than the boat is strictly prohibited.

What happens in inclement weather?

The ship sails rain or shine. If Blackbeard’s Treasure Hunter must cancel due to inclement weather, you will notified as soon as possible and rescheduled at your convenience or issued a refund.

Can we take pictures or video?

Absolutely. Guests are encouraged to take as many photos and videos as they like.

Yo ho! Climb aboard the largest and best pirate ship on the Grand Strand! Once aboard, you and your family will enjoy an hour-long interactive fun-filled adventure that you will never forget!

Upon arrival, your interactive adventure will begin at the dock where the kids will be transformed into little buccaneers! All children will receive a pirate mustache, a tattoo, and an outfit as well!

Climb aboard the ship and get settled as you set on your cruise in search of Blackbeard’s treasure. However, always be sure to keep your guard up and be aware of Bad Billy Bones! Be sure to find the treasure before he can and make sure he surrenders the key. Fight Bad Billy Bones using high-powered water cannons. After defeating Bad Billy Bones you will raise the Jolly Roger, or victory flag and sing dance, play games and open the treasure chest!

Be sure to show up 30 minutes before your cruise is set to take off to leave plenty of time for your pirate transformation! After your transformation, you and your family will take your very own pirate family photo!

Additionally, Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise also hosts numerous group events. Blackbeard’s is the perfect place to have Birthday Parties, School Groups, Church Groups, Youth Sports Teams, Family Reunions, Tour Groups, Corporate Outings, and Private Functions. FOR GROUPS WITH CHILDREN 12 YEARS OLD AND YOUNGER:

We offer our full Pirate Show.  Our Pirate Staff will fit a Pirate Hat on each child and perform face painting.  We then board the Pirate Ship for a trip down the inner-coastal waterway.  While underway, the children participate in squirt gun fights, foam rubber sword fights, search for a hidden treasure, even spray a water cannon at an invading pirate,

Parents enjoy a refreshing boat ride down the inner-coastal waterway under the covered portion of our deck.

The Pirate Ship will be available at the end of the cruise for 30 minutes to serve cake and ice cream if you desire.

This cruise lasts about an Hour and 15 Minutes.

FOR GROUPS OF ALL AGES:

We offer our Pirate Adventure Cruise.  Enjoy a trip down the inner-coastal waterway while observing and participating in the workings of a Pirate Ship from days gone by.  Guests are free to mingle with our Pirate Staff on both levels of the Pirate Ship.  You may bring your favorite food and beverages to enjoy while on board.  Please let us know of any special request you may have.
