The Coleman Journeymaster DLX Air XL Low Awning will provide additional living and sleeping space. The awning uses FastPitch Air Technology to ensure a quick and hassle free set up. The spacious BlackOut® bedrooms provide a restful place to sleep for up to 4 people. The front facing awning is positioned the same way your camper van is facing helping you give added privacy and a smaller overall pitch size.

The Journeymaster DLX Air XL Low offers standing head height and is designed to attach to vehicles that are 180 - 210cm in height. The Kador length for the Journeymaster is 270cm. The Coleman FastPitch frame creates a strong and rigid structure and is inflated via the Coleman pump which is supplied.

Introducing the Coleman Journeymaster Pro XL Drive Away Awning - the ultimate solution for camping enthusiasts seeking exceptional weather resistance and reliable anchoring. Boasting a hydrostatic head of 6000mm, ample guy lines, and four storm straps, this lightweight awning guarantees superior protection against the elements. The fibreglass poles provide stability and flexibility to withstand gusts of wind.

You can easily connect the awning to your camper van using various methods, including a standard 6mm beaded strip that fits most drive away awning kits, nylon loops, and a pole sleeve that allows attachment via a pole and clamp kit. You can also peg the awning over the top of the vehicle using two additional straps (please note that the drive away awning, pole, and clamp kits are not included). FACTORY SECONDS EXPLANATION

This awning has been tested by our Quality Control team who detected a potential fading issue on the black fabric strip around the bottom of the fly sheet. This can discolour over time from exposure to sunlight to a brown colour. It will still perform to the same high standards. So you can have fun using it, save it from landfill and make a great saving.

“Rigorous testing has shown that under continuous UV exposure (400~800nm) fading sometimes occurred. The strength, waterproofness and longevity of the fabric is not affected. The issue may not occur at all (depending on the strength, length, and direction of UV exposure).”

An extended porch provides additional living space with ample weather protection when entering the structure and features a drop-down doorway reducing trip hazards.

Inside the spacious living area large windows feature zipped window shades ensuring flexible levels of privacy. High and low ventilation is provided at the sides and rear of the tent to aid temperature control and reduce condensation.

The attached bedrooms sleep four people, are extra-large and will comfortably fit larger airbeds. The bedrooms include a Polyester floor for a more comfortable feel and feature BlackOut Bedroom® technology blocking daylight, reducing the temperature during the day and increasing it at night, ensuring a more restful sleep.

Additional features include zipped cable entry points in the living area and bedroom for powered accessories together with multiple lantern attachment points.

The FastPitch Air poles allow this awning to be effortlessly set up by one person. Offering a comfortable living area for 4 people and BlackOut bedrooms to block the dawn light. Suitable for rail heights 180-210cm.

Inside the spacious living area large windows feature zipped window shades ensuring flexible levels of privacy. High and low ventilation is provided at the sides and rear of the tent to aid temperature control and reduce condensation.

The attached bedrooms sleep four people, are extra-large and will comfortably fit larger airbeds. The bedrooms include a Polyester floor for a more comfortable feel and feature BlackOut Bedroom® technology blocking daylight, reducing the temperature during the day and increasing it at night, ensuring a more restful sleep.

Additional features include zipped cable entry points in the living area and bedroom for powered accessories together with multiple lantern attachment points.

Their first venture into the awning market, the Coleman Journeymaster Deluxe Air XL BlackOut is a driveaway awning that can sleep up to four people. It features Coleman’s BlackOut technology which blocks out 99% of light, helping you to get a longer night’s sleep. There are also plenty of other features to make this awning easy to use, such as the barrier-free access. This allows you enter and exit the awning without any trip hazards, especially if need to get out in the middle of the night. You’ll also find fully zipped window covers to keep your privacy at any time and there is plenty of ventilation around the awning to help reduce condensation.

Quick and easy to set up, this fully inflatable awning is designed to fit vehicles between 180cm to 210cm. Simply attach the Coleman Journeymaster Awning to your van, peg out and inflate the beams with the pump provided, it’s that easy. Once the awning is erect, ensure the awning is fully secure and that’s it. Perfect for families who want that extra bit of space and sleeping area.

Our Opinion:-

The Journeymaster Deluxe Air awning is designed to fit campervans with an attachment height 180 to 210cm. Available in 3 sizes. The M & L sizes are supplied with a 2-berth inner tent and the XL models with a 4-berth inner tent. The Awnings feature Coleman's BlackOut bedroom as standard. The Blackout Bedrooms block out up to 99% of daylight, helping you and your family get a longer, more restful sleep, whatever time you choose to go to bed or get up in the morning. Not only do they help reduce the light, but they also help to make the temperature up to 5°C cooler on a warm day and 4°C warmer during the night.

The  Journeymaster Deluxe Air is an Air frame awning for easy pitching and features 150d Polyester flysheet with a Hydrostatic head of 6000mm.

Another Coleman feature we like is the doorway and inner tent zips all have a safety park position. the zips close to the same point. So in the event you need to exit the tent in an emergency you will always know the location of the zip pullers.

The Journeymaster Deluxe Air is supplied with Storm straps as standard, Large PVC windows are located throughout the awning and have zip up curtains for privacy. Low and High-level ventilation points help to increase airflow and reduce condensation.

The  Journeymaster Deluxe Air is a side on awning so pitches lengthways along your van. This makes it campsite friendly. It features a nice sized front porch to give protection from the elements and provide a sheltered cooking of lounging area.

The  Journeymaster Deluxe Air range is going to be popular as the Inner tents come as standard and feature Coleman's BlackOut technology.

  Supported by five FastPitch™ Air inflatable poles, this drive away awning is both wind resistant and easy to pitch. A 6000mm hydrostatic head provides excellent weather resistance while ample guy lines and four storm straps ensure it is securely anchored. 

  Connection to the camper van can be achieved by multiple methods including a standard 6mm beaded strip compatible with most drive away awning kits, nylon loops and a pole sleeve allow attachment via a pole and clamp kit and two additional straps enable pegging over the top of the vehicle (drive away awning pole and clamp kits not included). The camper van connecting tunnel also features a side door for convenient access.

Product Information

The Journeymaster Deluxe Air awning is Coleman’s first ever inflatable driveaway awning and it has been designed to enhance your camping experience by offering plenty of space outside of the van for either living in or sleeping in. All of the models come with a BlackOut bedroom as standard and face the same direction as the van to ensure you face the view and not your neighbour’s pitch. As the awning is inflatable it is very quick and easy to pitch. The awning is available in three sizes so you can make sure you have as much room as you need. The smallest of the range is the ‘M’ which is perfect for the camper who doesn’t want a big awning. The Deluxe L is just a touch bigger than the M and has a larger living area and canopy space while still having a 2-berth bedroom. The larger model is the XL which not only has a large living space but also a 4-berth bedroom as standard and this is probably the largest driveaway awning on the market.

The Journeymaster’s front canopy provides a sheltered entrance in and out of the awning, the bottom of the door can toggle up or down, so you can choose between getting a tight seal or having trip free access into the awning. FastPitch air poles help to make the awning easy to erect and gives more stability than its poled counterpart. A manual pump comes supplied as standard and it is worth seeing how quick the awning goes up by watching our own Pitching Video. A door is located in the connection tunnel so that you access the van without having to go through the awning itself. The Journeymaster is made from a 150D polyester material and has a 6,000mm HH waterproof rating.

Coleman has been revolutionary in creating the only BlackOut Bedrooms on the market. The Blackout Bedrooms block out up to 99% of daylight, helping you and your family get a longer and more restful sleep, whatever time you choose to go to bed or get up in the morning. Not only do they help reduce the light but they also help to make the temperature up to 5°C cooler on a warm day and 4°C warmer during the night.

Storm straps come supplied as standard with the awning to give you the peace of mind that the structure is nice and stable. Two cable entry points allow you to have mains power inside the awning without having to leave the door open, while a lantern hanging point is centred in the roof of the living area. Large PVC windows are located throughout the awning and have zip up curtains for privacy. Low and High-level ventilation points help to increase airflow and reduce condensation.
