The tour takes its participants across either the southern or the eastern coasts of Koh Samui, which are richer in marine life than any other places. The tour is paced leisurely, and provides a relaxing and supportive atmosphere for first time fishers to try their hand in the sport. If you’re lucky enough, you can find here some of the biggest catches that Thailand has to offer! Enjoy your first conquer in a barbecue on the boat, or take it home-the choice is purely yours. Explore the vibrant marine life through snorkeling

The southern and eastern coasts of Koh Samui also happen to be an ideal spot for snorkeling. As the boat anchors in the sea, you can either decide to stay on board and fish or even enjoy a short snorkeling tour. Depending on the season and visibility, a number of different life forms can be spotted here- from mackerels to little sharks to patches of coral. Take a tour of the seas on a traditional Thai fishing Boat

Fishing in Koh Samui takes place from a traditional Thai boat. The long-tailed boat comes without frills, and is fitted with basic facilities such as a bathroom with a proper sewerage system, and a sun shade. The boat also has a fish finder on board, which allows it to detect and locate as many schools as possible.

Koh Samui Fishing: Cancellation Policy

• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
• Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

• The applicable refund amount will be processed within 15 business days

This tour is excellent for beginners, families, or anyone just looking for a fun day out with the added bonus of some delicious fish, freshly grilled and Sashimi on board. At the fishing spots there are also snorkeling areas. Please note that this is purely a fun fishing tour and not for professional fishing. Seeing regular catches of barracuda, cobia, shark, mackerel, sailfish, snapper, grouper, trevally, squid (for night program) and more!

Samui Fishing Club (formerly Fishing Park Samui) is located in the Southern area of the tropical island of Koh Samui.

Started in 2018 and operating til the Covid pandemic in 2020, Samui Fishing Club has re-opened its doors in December 2022.

Relax and go fishing in the crystal clear water on the south side of Koh Samui. Plentiful marine life and secluded islands with white sand beaches.

We will take you on a genuine Thai wooden fishing boat with a cool shade cover to protect you from the sun and the rain.

All equipment – rods, lines, trawling gear, bait and lures are provided. Enjoy a delicious Thai boat lunch with icy cold drinks and fresh tropical fruits. There’s a BBQ on board so cook your catch or take it home. Snorkeling gear supplied to explore the beautiful coral reef outside Koh Taen.

How can I rent a yacht for a group of 15 people, for fishing and snorkelling?

You can rent a private charter to accommodate 15ppl and then you can designate the activities you want to do. These private charters can be expensive, so it just depends on your budget as to whether this suits you. 1. Koh Samui Luxury Boat Rental

For something a little less expensive, you can check out these tours. Angthong Marine Park is my best recommendation as it is absolutely stunning and you will have a great day out on the water snorkelling, swimming and some tours offer fishing. 1. I would recommend contacting the company through the link to ask whether they can accommodate all 15 of you on one boat, or whether you would be split over two boats. Option number 3 carries up to 25 people, so this one can certainly accommodate your entire party.

Our Specimen Lake has a diverse range of gigantic fish, that due to the perfect environment we have created, have grown to unbelievable sizes in a, relatively, short space of time.

These huge weight gains can be attributed to the year-round tropical climate , the natural food chain and the high protein balanced diet on which the fish live.

TopCats has 10 comfortable fishing salas each with cushioned seating areas, electrical power, cool boxes, lighting and clean towels. Fast 5G wifi is available all round the lake. All the swims can accommodate a fan or umbrella and most importantly, waitress service is available, so you don’t need to miss a single run.

Some pegs are doubles so you can fish with your colleagues, and there are 3 private swims for exclusive use of customers staying in our premium suite bungalows .

Our fully trained and helpful fishing guides have all been at TopCats for many years and can advise you of the special techniques and baits required not only to catch monster fish but help you to target your dream species.

We will give you as much help as you require. Our guides will net and unhook the fish. All fish, once landed, will have the hook holds treated with antiseptic and allowed to recover over oxygen ready for you to get into the water for that all important photo.

We do ask that during the process you listen to the guides and please note we do not weigh the fish. The guides can tell with good accuracy, the estimated weight for your records.

We encourage anglers to bring their own pop ups and attractants of their choice, but other than that all bait is supplied by us and is now INCLUDED in the price of holiday packages and day ticket sessions.

Our daily bait pack consists of:

• Ikg 20mm boilies (Scopex Squid, Crave, Pineapple, Coconut, TopCats, Spicey Shrimp, Strawberry)
• Pallatrax “Jungle Pop Ups” (small pot)
• 3kg TopCats Mufford/Feeder mix
• Maize 500g pack
• Bread 3 x Loaf
• 1kg Dead Bait

We have found, over the years, this is enough bait for the day, although we do advise on full day sessions it is best to use 2kg boilies as a minimum. Should you want more you can buy extra at a very reasonable rate.

Each angler gets 2 set ups with 1 predator rod allowed at any one time. Most anglers start with one boilie and one particle set up, swapping one for a dead-baited predator rig as the sun goes down. We use Century Rods , Shimano Bait Runner reels and Delkim alarms as our core equipment.

End tackle can vary but Gamakatsu wide gape hooks with Iseama twist are the preferred option.

Everything that you need to catch our monster fish is supplied within the cost but If you want to use your own end tackle, please ensure it is checked by one of our guides. If you would like to bring a small tackle box with you here are a few recommendations:

• Hooks: Barbless or micro barb that you would crush before use. Size 2 for the Carp setups & 0 /1 for the predators.
• Hook links: all braid minimum 45lbs – 140lbs Kryston Strong option.
• Line: we only use mono 36lbs upwards Gold Label Tackle Pro Tough or Gamma Polyflex.
• Baiting Needle / Catapult / PVA Mesh / Bait Stops / Rig Tubing large bore / few bright colour pop – ups 12/14mm or wafters.
• Your preferred flavouring or glug
• We dont use bobbins but if you wish can bring out your own and fit to our Delkim alarms.
• Clothing for fishing T-Shirts, swimwear/shorts, hats, Sunglasses & don’t forget the Sunblock factor 50++ is recommended.
• Camera or good phone for that all important trophy shot.

Fishing Etiquette and Rules

Our rules, as ever, are for our customers safety and fish well being.

The main advice is always to listen to the guides.

• The maximum daily fishing time is from 8am until 8pm.
• Last cast is 7:50pm sharp.
• The fishing tackle is built for us to the highest specification. Anything broken or lost through negligence will have to be replaced at cost.
• The drag settings are set by our guide. Please do not alter.
• Bait Runners must always be engaged whilst the rod is in the pod.
• When playing a fish your second rod will be wound in by the guide and please be wary of other anglers playing fish that may be crossing your peg.
• Once the fish is landed, the guide will talk you through the photographic process, only enter the water when the guide says the fish is cared for and ready.
• Rod sharing is not permitted.

Koh Tao or "Turtle Island" is located at a distance of 60 km to the north of Koh Samui. Koh Tao is often called the pearl of the Gulf of Thailand. With just 7 km long, 3 km wide Koh Tao has terrific variety of beaches and beautiful bays. In the North West of Koh Tao, a kilometer away from it is a small island Koh Nang Yuan - the hallmark of southern Thailand.

Known as the best place to practice diving (island is assigned to the second level PADI category), the main priority of Koh Tao is diving.
