Joie Litetrax 4 travel system review

Joie Baby Litetrax 4 Bronze Award 2024

The Joie Litetrax 4 allows your child to travel in comfort and style from birth to four years old. It has a fully reclining seat which allows newborns to travel in the lie-flat position and converts into a travel system with Joie's 0+ car seats . It also includes an adjustable leg rest and a large hood with a ventilated panel.

The Litetrax 4's swivel wheels allow for easy steering and lock into a fixed position for better control over bumpy surfaces. It has a simple one hand fold function and can easily be folded away. Joie's Litetrax 4 also won Bronze in the 2024 Mother&Baby Awards .

Tested by mum Abigail Hammond for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love this pushchair, it's so light and glides along any terrain beautifully and it is easy to push and direct single handed. What I love best though however is how easy it is to collapse and put up, and it's even quite compact when collapsed. It is very light so it's easy to get in and out of the car.

How did this product make your life easier?

It's so quick and easy to open out and collapse and that really does make life easier as a mother. It doesn't take up a lot of room in the boot of the car and is easy to lift in and out. It reclines and lifts with a one hand mechanism and is easy to push with just one hand which is great especially when you need to hold hands with another child or when children want to help push.

Would you choose this product to win?

I think it is my favourite pushchair and mostly due to the way it collapses. It's so quick and easy and anyone who saw me do it was so impressed. I've not seen another pushchair colapse like this, it really is fantastic. It's such a delight to push across any terrain and is easy to push and manoveur single handed.

What changes would you make to this product?

There are just a few things I would change. I wish the handle bar would extend a little. I found it quite fiddly sliding the two straps together to clip them into the middle clip. You can sometimes be in a rush to get baby strapped in, so this was really annoying. I also found it hard to shorten the straps enough to secure my small baby. In the end I just wrapped them round the back strap, but that's not ideal.

Joie Baby Litetrax 4 Bronze Award 2024

Tested by mum Sophie Barton for the M&B Awards 2017:

I would recommend the Joie Baby Litetrax 4 pushchair for many reasons, the main one being the one-handed fold! It's so simple and easy, and once folded it's very lightweight and comfortable to carry around if needs be. I think it would be perfect for getting on and off transport, e.g buses, trains. It has a smart modern design, and is easy to manoeuvre. It's easy to recline, and seems very comfortable as the lining is thick and padded.

The one-handed fold has definitely made life easier, there is no faffing around with this pushchair! It's just perfect for mums who are always on the go. Love that this pushchair has the cup holders on the top, they are perfect size for a bottle or cup, so again there is no faffing around with trying to find things in you changing bag. Also comes with a really good size rain cover which covers the whole pushchair perfectly and can be stored in the nice big basket underneath.

I think this product should win as it's extremely practical and affordable! I was shocked at the price, it is such good value for money. This pushchair has features on it that I have not seen on a buggy at this price before. It’s modern and stylish and the quality is amazing. What really sells it for me is the folding mechanism and how lightweight and comfortable it is to manoeuvre. Pushing this seems to be a breeze on any road.

It was hard to find a negative on this pushchair, but I would say the straps are a bit fiddly. Everything else about the pushchair is quick and easy, but putting the plastic pieces together on the straps I found a struggle with a fidgety baby as it isn't just two simple clicks like other pushchairs. I also found it difficult to adjust the size of the straps and couldn't get them to as small as I needed.

Tested by mum Louise Tait for the M&B Awards 2017:

Many reasons to love this pushchair! It has THE best hood I have ever seen. It's large, completely covers the baby and is strong and durable with breathable mesh. The quality is fantastic, fabric is like a denim material and looks expensive. The footmuff is amazingly thick and cosy. Comes with a tray which is handy for your coffee and a sealable section useful for keys.

One hand fold is definitely a feature which makes my life easier. Pushchair is really easy to push and recline is an easy one button pull. Swivel wheels make for easy manoeuvring. When the sun came out, it was a simple unzip to ensure the baby was fully protected but I could still see her through the mesh.

This pushchair looks expensive and really on trend with the other pushchairs on the market. It's extremely good value for money for the quality and the accessories which come with it. I absolutely loved the material on the pushchair, really easy to wipe clean and feels strong. The best thing for me was the tray which attached to the handle bars!

The raincover was a bit of a faff to put on. It took me a few attempts to work out if it was on the right way or not. It’s a large raincover and seems bulky compared to others which come with similar sized pushchairs. The shopping basket is on the small side and once the raincover was in, it didn't leave much room for anything else.

Tested by mum Trudy Harman for the M&B Awards 2017:

I would definitely recommend this Joie Baby Litetrax 4 buggy to everyone. It is so easy to use, fold and store. It can be put up and down with one hand which is perfect when holding a baby. It is nice and compact to store and fits well in the boot of the car. The design is stylish with good wipe clean material. I found the cup holders and storage compartment and absolute godsend.

Nothing can be easier than having an easy buggy to put up and down - it was just an amazing engineering design with the one pull strap. This not only saved time when heading out the door but also when out and about epescially if caught in the rain and need to get in the car quick. The storage compartment and cup holders meant I no longer had to hunt around in the basket underneath to find my keys and drinks were on hand for children.

I would definitely say this buggy deserves to win as it was for a stroller a dream to push, fold and store. I found that it was a great size for small children as well as older ones. The children had no problem sleeping in it in the recline position which worked smoothly. The front bar was used by the children to lean on when they were sitting upright or their feet when reclining. The windows and extra zip out part of the canopy were a great help in the sunny weather.

The one thing that I found I did not like were the straps, they were very fiddly and I found it difficult to hold a fidgedity baby in whilst trying to fit the straps together, plus the covers kept falling off. I also found that with smaller children that the straps didn't seem to go tight enough and they could easily get their arms out.

Tested by mum Lauren Williams for the M&B Awards 2017:

We loved the Joie Baby Litetrax 4! It is really simple to fold and put up with just one hand so ideal if you need to hold your child too. The hood it really good and comes down really far so great when it's sunny or you need to block the light for naps. Folds really compact and it will stand up which is great for storage.

Yes the Joie Baby Litetrax 4 has made it much easier as it is such a good design and really simple to fold. The hood solves a lot of problems when it's sunny as you don't need to bother with a parasol to keep the sun out. The basket has a lot of room and is really deep to keep things in. The recline it easy to use with one hand.

We would choose the Litetrax 4 over all the others as it’s really easy to use and very compact. It doesn't take up much room in the car or the house. It is easy to push and the seat seems comfortable when my child sits in it. There are a few recline settings if you want your baby to be sat up or lying down.

On the Joie Baby Litetrax 4 I would change the straps as the shoulder pads slip off. As they can be slipped off and not fixed they can easily be lost. It would be much better if they were buttoned or stitched into place. Also there are four straps which all need to be buckled together. This might not be so easy with a reluctant child!

If you currently have the Joie Litetrax 3 and are looking for an upgrade, you’re going to want to check out the Joie Litetrax 4 .

In my opinion, you simply cannot beat a high quality pushchair. When I was expecting my second daughter, I started to look at the Joie travel system amongst others, keen to have something lightweight and versatile that I could easily manage whilst also looking after a three year old. When Joie gave me the opportunity to review their Litetrax pushchair with the Joie Ramble carrycot to create a Joie travelsysten suitable from birth, I was over the moon. Visually, the Joie Litetrax 4 is one of the best looking pushchairs we have seen for a while!

We have now been using the Joie Litetrax for around 2 months now (as soon as I was able to walk again  post sepsis !!!) and therefore I feel well placed to share our review!

Our Experience

Does the joie litetrax 4 require assembly.

The Joie Litetrax 4 comes in a compact box with everything you need inside. Setting up the Litetrax 4 is very straight forward. Although getting all the parts out of the box can be a bit daunting at first, the instructions are very easy to follow, and my other half had the pushchair set up in no time at all. I think even I could have done it (and flat packed furniture is NOT my forte!!) – the wheels just simply push and click into place. It was great to see that lots of accessories were included in the box, such as the large rain cover and even a padded foot muff that wasn’t actually listed on the box. This was a pleasant surprise and looked like it would be really cosy in the winter months.

joie13

First impressions

The Joie Litetrax 4 is a Joie stroller that comes in a number of different colours depending on personal preference. We opted for the Rust colour and I am really pleased with our choice – it is quite a unique orangey/red shade, and looks fab – we have had lots of positive comments from other parents whilst out and about. Unlike other travel systems I have used, the pushchair seat doesn’t need to be removed in order to attach the ramble carry cot, it simply lies flat, creating a concertina style hood underneath. This looks great, and much less faffing around when alternating between the two. The ramble simply attaches using two adapaters (sold sepeatrely) which slide in easily before clipping the carry cot in place.

joie Litetrax 4

The Joie Litetrax 4 is quite large when in use with the Joie ramble carry cot, but that said, I didn’t have any difficulty getting it around in the shops. When folded, it stands freely (which is VERY handy) and folds up into a compact size with a clip to hold the pushchair closed.

joie Litetrax 4

How compact does the Litetrax 4 fold?

The Litetrax 4 measures L82, W31.5, D59. 3cm when folded.I can easily fit the Litetrax 4 pushchair in to the back of my Golf, leaving plenty of space for shopping and other items in my boot. If I needed to make it smaller (i.e. when going on holiday with a large amount of luggage), the wheels can also be removed so that it can stack flatter and take up less space.

joie7

It is surprisingly light to carry. After my sepsis nightmare my body wasn’t as strong as it could be, yet I was easily able to lift this in and out of my boot without too much difficulty. Made from aluminium, it weighs around 9kg.

Key features of Joie Litetrax:

When looking at the Joie pushchair, one of the real positives of the Joie Litetrax 4 is that it has a very large under chair storage basket which has plenty of room for shopping bags and/or changing bags. That said, when using the pushchair flat (for newborns) or with the ramble carry cot, the basket is not very easy to access, as the hood covers some of the area where you would things in and out. When the pushchair is inclined, full access to the basket is restored.

I absolutely love the ‘Parent tray’ attached to the handlebar, with space for two cups to be held (i.e. both my coffee and my daughters beaker cup!) The storage pouch with Velcro close is also great for popping in some loose change or your house keys if you don’t want to take your handbag out with you.

joie3

Is it really a one handed fold?

My favourite feature of the Joie Litetrax is the one handed close . With a toddler in tow, this has been a real benefit in that I don’t have to worry about my eldest running off whilst I battle with putting the pushchair up and down. Using a strap hidden under the material of the chair, you simply pull up in a swift motion and the chair folds in and down, before automatically locking and clipping into place. To open, simply unclip, and push down the centre of  the chair until it clicks into place.

joie9

What is the hood like on the Joie Litetrax 4?

The super-extendible hood on the Joie Litetrax is AMAZING, and has so much coverage that I can finally say goodbye to my annoying parasol – lets face it, most of us spend the entire time walking round the block fiddling around with the parasol to try and adjust it into the perfect position! I hate the things!! The fantastic hood on the Litetrax4, folds out far beyond other pushchairs that I have seen, including a zip that opens it up further so it covers low over the child’s face. There is a mesh section so the child can see up and out if they wish, and this is also great for ventilation on hotter days.

joie4

There is also what I would describe as a parent peep hole , where you can have a sneak peak and check if your baby has nodded off. This is accessible via a little Velcro patch – it can be a bit noisy opening it though so don’t peak too often!

Joie Litetrax 4

Suitable from birth,  when not using the Joie Ramble carrycot, I have been using the Litetrax 4 in it’s lie flat position. I love that this pushchair can be used from newborn because of the lie flat feature, as my previous travel system could only be used from 6 months. As my daughter grows bigger, it is  reassuring to know that adjusting the recline is easy to do one hand using the handle at the back. These movements are not jumpy, so I could easily do this whilst my daughter is asleep.

joie6

The seat itself has a 5 point harness , which has its pros and cons. On the positive, 5 point harnesses are the safest form of restraint, in that in the event of a collision, or your child being knocked in the pushchair, the force is spread across their body. At the moment Neve is pretty tiny, so the strap pads are a little on the large side in terms of scale, and even at its tightest setting, they is a bit of growing space! I can imagine getting the straps on a more wriggly 6 month old or toddler could be MUCH harder than a simple strap and clip method and at times may seem a little fiddly. That said, what is great about the 5 point harness is that if the baby falls asleep, you can easily remove the straps without waking them!

joie litetrax 4

Does the Joie Litetrax 4 come with a raincover?

Yes! The included raincover is large and easy to apply to the seat when required. It doesn’t fold as small as I would like due to the plastic rim on the hood element of the cover. This means it takes up quite a bit of room both in the car and in the pushchair basket.

How easy is the Litetrax 4 to steer?

The Joie Litetrax 4 is really easy to manoeuvre with large wheels and I found it easy to push on most surfaces with the exception of our pebble drive which is a nightmare with any wheels to be honest!! The Joie Litetrax has a simple foot break which is really easy to apply and remove as required.

joie Litetrax 4

I think the Joie Litetrax 4 is  fantastic value for money with an RRP of around £200, especially as it can be used from birth until approximately 4 years (15kg). I have previously had another travel system that cost almost £400 and was nowhere near as easy to put up and down as the Litetrax 4.

Overall, we are really impressed with the Joie Litetrax 4, which is a great upgrade if you have previously had then Joie Litetrax 3. I am enjoying using the additional features such as the multi recline and the footmuff as my daughter grows.

  • Value for money
  • One handed close for easy and quick set up and putting away.
  • Super extendable hood with maximum sun coverage
  • Light and compact
  • Chic and trendy looking
  • The single position handle bar is fine for me at 5″6 but if you are particularly tall it may feel a little on the low side. It didn’t work particularly well with the buggy board as my daughter was too big to fit underneath, so walking with her behind the handle bar was a bit yampy to say the least!
  • The five point harness was a bit of a faff at times, and the comfort pads came off quite easily.
  • Despite multi position straps, I couldn’t get them as tight as I would have liked on my newborn, but as long as she was wrapped in thicker clothes she was fine.

this sounds and looks fab we love joie. we use the mimzy highcahir and the double buggy. #thepod

Hanna

I have this and have been using it with a different carrycot. My 3 month old is getting too big for the carrycot, but could I just buckle him up in the stroller when it’s fully reclined? Would you add a mattress and blanket/duvet or put him in warm clothing and let that be it?

loosea

Hi Hanna yes from memory (but please check) the litetax4 can be used from birth so just put pushchair into full recline. I would pop a little blanket over the top personally for extra warmth and protection but I guess depends on the weather x

Joie Litetrax 4 Review – A Full Featured And Extremely Affordable Pushchair

It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE   babywearing advocate , and use this method of transportation whenever out and about with my 13 month old Son. That said, when he was approaching 10 months old I recognised that as much as I adored babywearing , Eco also had to get used to being in a pushchair, not only so Daddy and Grandma can take him out without me being by his side, but also to give my babywearing Son a different experience of seeing the world around him.

When the opportunity arose to review a Joie Pushchair (pronounced Joy, yes I pronounced it incorrectly too!)   my choice after meeting with their representatives at last year’s Baby Show in Kensington Olympia I couldn’t be more thankful and took them up on their offer.

Key Features I Was Looking For

Suddenly I found myself submerged in a whole new world I knew nothing about. Was there really a difference between a Pram, Pushchair, Buggy and a Travel System? I had to get educated, and fast!

Some of the key features I was looking for in a pushchair for Eco was the following:-

  • It had to be compact – I live in a two bedroom flat and use public transport frequently as I do not have a car at present. This means that the pushchair had to be light enough to carry up and down two flights of stairs and fold down easily for storage purposes.
  • Ideally Rear and Forward Facing  – I like to be able to see my Son at all times so a pushchair with the ability to be rear and world facing appealed to me.
  • A large shopping basket – I tend to pick up groceries every other day, usually carrying a rucksack on my back with Eco worn on my hip or facing me but admit it’s becoming harder now that Eco weighs 10.5 kg! Having a pushchair with a large shopping basket would make trips to our local supermarket more practical.

With those three key features in mind I set about comparing the different pushchairs on offer from Joie, and whilst the Chrome 2 had most of the features I was looking for, it was faaar too big and heavy for my liking.

The second best option was the Litetrax 4 . It is classed as a full featured pushchair so is suitable from birth to preschool (approx 3-4 years) ,  had 4 different reclining positions  and had all of the features I was looking for apart from one. It was forward facing only!

My anxiety at not having view of my baby was put at ease upon discovering that the oversized expandable hood can be unzipped to reveal a  mesh window   which looks over the seated child.

It was this feature that was the deal breaker in me choosing the Litetrax 4 in colour Rust  (a burnt orange) to review.

Initial Thoughts of Joie Litetrax 4

We have been in receipt of this pushchair just before Christmas 2016 but we didn’t use it straight away.

Upon unboxing in mid January I found the assembly very straight forward and simple to follow using the instructions leaflet provided.

Our Litetrax 4 was ready to use within 15 mins, that included taking regular breaks to attend to an inquisitive natured Eco, who wanted to get out of his carseat to investigate this new piece of equipment in our home.

I took him out for his 1st stroll around the park a few days later and whilst he was initially excited at this new experience, the novelty wore off after approximately 10 minutes and cried until I eventually took him out and wore him in my carrier.

I was anticipating this reaction he’s only ever been worn. He clearly had to take time to adjust and get used to this new and unfamiliar way of transportation.

Fast forward a few months and Eco is now happy and content in his Litetrax 4. The longest he’s spent in it to date was 2 hours on a shopping trip and he didn’t fuss once.

Pros and Cons of Joie Litetrax 4

Like with all products there will be things that you love as well as things you may feel can be improved. Here’s what we loved….

joie-litetrax-4-review-a-full-featured-and-extremely-affordable-pushchair

  • It is extremely affordable – Most pushchairs on the market with full features usually retails at £400+. The Joie Litetrax 4 comes with the same full features as well as a matching footmuff  and  raincover for a great price of £199.00 , thus ensuring one does not break the bank when choosing such a vital piece of baby equipment. It’s worth pointing out that footmuffs and raincovers from other pushchair brands are generally sold separately as an add on to the pushchair so this really is a GREAT deal!
  • It is incredibly light to push – Despite the Litetrax 4 weighing 10kg and the addition of my Son’s weight (another 10.5kg) I found it incredibly light to push and the steering effortless thanks to its front swivel wheels with swivel lock and all round suspension.

joie-litetrax-4-review-a-full-featured-and-extremely-affordable-pushchair-rear-view-from-mesh-window

  • It has a mesh window – Knowing I can still see my Son with the Canopy down to protect him from the elements is a MAJOR plus for me and one of  the reasons that swayed me to choose this particular pushchair to review with Eco.
  • It folds down within seconds! I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this feature. Not only is it great for storing in my small two bedroom flat, it is also incredibly useful should we ever need to fold down our pushchair to make way for another pushchair or wheelchair user when on the bus.

joie-litetrax-4-review-a-full-featured-and-extremely-affordable-pushchair-view-of-large-shopping-basket

  • It has a large shopping basket.  Hurrah for this feature as my poor back was beginning to feel the strain of wearing my Son AND carrying grocery shopping tandem style. I’ve even transported our dismantled jumperoo that we donated to our local children’s centre with it.

There are only two minor things I feel can be improved to make the Litetrax 4 a 10/10 pushchair and these are based purely on my own personal experiences. So here’s our suggested improvements…

The handle bars do not adjust  to accommodate various heights – This isn’t a problem for me as I’m quite short measuring 5ft 45 inches tall but isn’t ideal for those who are much taller than I, including my O/H who is 6ft1.

It does not stand upright when folded – It maybe just me that has hasn’t quite figured out how to make the pushchair stand independently once folded (I take back this comment if this is the case!) but must admit it can be extremely annoying hearing a crash when I’ve just settled Eco for his daytime nap or worse in the middle of the night only to discover our Litetrax 4 has fallen down once again after being propped up against the wall in the spare room.

Like I said, these are my only small gripes I have. It is otherwise a fantastic pushchair to own at such an affordable price! After testing this for a few months we give the Joie Litetrax 4 a score of 8/10. I can see why this pushchairjoie-litetrax-4-review-a-full-featured-and-extremely-affordable-pushchair and we cannot recommend it enough!

The Joie Litetrax 4 DLX is a June 2021 upgrade of the original Joie Litetrax 4 . What is new? The difference between the Joie Litetrax 4 and the Joie Litetrax 4 DLX is, first and foremost, in the added handlebar adjustment. The Litetrax 4 DLX allows you to adjust the handle height depending on your needs telescopically. To add to that, the DLX's handle is covered with a more stylish leatherette (as opposed to the foam on the Litetrax 3 and Litetrax 4). Lastly, the Litetrax 4 DLX brings new fashionable colorways as well as no-adapters-needed compatibility with a Joie car seat.

Still a lightweight four-wheeler , the Joie Litetrax 4 DLX boasts a quick, compact, one-handed fold. Meant for urban use, it tries to make the push more comfortable thanks to all-wheel suspension . Thanks to the full recline of the seat, it is suitable from birth. For your newborn, a Joie Ramble carrycot or a car seat are available separately (the 'Maxi-Cosi-style car seats will fit on the bassinet adapters).

Car seats available with the car seat/carrycot adapters: Cybex Aton 5, Cybex Aton M, Cybex Aton Q, gb Artio Gold, gb Idan Platinum, Joie Gemm, Joie i-Gemm 2, Joie i-Level, Joie i-Snug, Maxi Cosi Rock, Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix, Maxi-Cosi Pebble, Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus.

Joie Litetrax 4 DLX Features & Specifications

The seat unit, the canopy (hood), the bumper bar, the suspension, the handlebar, the carrycot, the car seat, the accessories & extra features, parent reviews of the joie litetrax 4 dlx, it's not perfect, but considering its price i think it was a good choice.

  • build construction
  • soft wheels
  • effective suspensions
  • maneuverability
  • lever backrest reclining
  • sun-open piece of fabric in the canopy when extended
  • canopy length is so-so
  • basket hardly accessible, nearly impossible to put a bag in
  • needs two hands to unfold

I am pretty happy with the Litetrax 4 DLX. It's not perfect, but considering its price, I think it has been a good choice.

EVA wheels are quite soft, so I like their feeling, also when I'm on uneven roads. I don't know if they're good on all terrains; I've tried them on grass (need more strength in pushing) and gravel (between hard and stuck).

Construction seems to be sturdy, and the weight is ok. When folded, it's a bit cumbersome, so it barely fits in my car boot. Maneuverability is very good, thanks to the wheels' quality and to the effective and soft suspensions. I like the fabrics, recline angles, and lever reclining system.

I don't like the unfolding system because it needs two hands.

The two major flaws of this stroller, to me, are the canopy and the basket.

The canopy: it isn't very long (in sleeping position, it barely covers the head of the baby), and above all, its main problem is that when you unzip it, you uncover a piece of fabric in peek-a-boo style that doesn't filter the sun. It's like having a window on a "slice" of the canopy.

The basket is hardly accessible, probably because of the low height of the stroller. You can only put small objects in there. Really hard to put a bag in.

Very nice city buggy

  • Good fabrics and coverage
  • Could be lighter

A very nice city buggy. We're happy with it. I just expected it will be a bit more lightweight, I guess.

Just a bit heavy to me

  • well padded
  • nice basket
  • adjustable handle height
  • a bit heavy
  • a bit noisy on terrain
  • leg rest feels short

As a mid size pushchair, GOOD. I like it overall. It's just a bit heavy to me.

Returned it

  • Looks great
  • Very nicely padded
  • Handle adjusts (finally!)
  • Front wheels

We returned it. I couldn't lift it in the car (I am quite petite) and the front wheels did this wobbly sound if not on smooth surfaces.

The wheels are not much for terrain

We really like it, just the wheels are not much for terrain. They rattle on bumps. Also, the seat is fantastically padded but a bit short to my taste. But the large canopy and good sun coverage are awesome, and I love the large storage.

Your questions about the Joie Litetrax 4 DLX

I would like to ask what are the compatible car seats that can be used with the Joie Litetrax 4 DLX? Do I need adapter too?

Since Joie Litetrax 4 DLX is a no-adapter system, you can only snap a Joie car seat, in particular a Joie Dedicated car seat that is sold in a travel system with the pushchair. Not everywhere is this system sold. However, that dedicated Joie car seat snaps on the child's bumper bar, which is why only that car seat works - it has a wedge in the back that just fits on the bar. No other brands' car seats are officially compatible to be paired with this stroller.

However, if there is a Joie Litetrax 4 DLX carrycot compatibility available in your country, the carrycot adapters actually accept Joie, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, Kiddy, Recaro, Nuna car seats.

Try googling 'Joie Litetrax DLX travel system' or write to Joie's customer service about availability.

And check also the Joie Litetrax 4 (without the DLX in name) that does have adpaters for Joie, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and more car seats with the same attachment system available.

Thank you for answering my question about the Litetrax 4 DLX so quickly! The information you provided was so helpful.

Do you know if the stroller is exactly the same as the original litetrax 4 (in terms of seat size / stroller dimensios)? It seems like the only real differences are the extendable handle bar and the leather rather than foam finish? Plus a couple of points to do with adapters which will make no difference to me anyway.

I was initially looking at the original version and prefer the design of the cup holders and pocket on it for phone, keys etc. So if they are much the same I would probably go for the original.

Thanks again!

Heya, Jill,

There are no real, functional differences in terms of build, wheels quality, push quality or spaciousness, really - the only thing that matters for a parent here is the adjustable, updated handlebar, the seat size did not change. I personally would probably go for the simpler version, if the price was better and I wouldn't be too tall (which would make the extendable handle a must of sorts).

Your description of the stroller says from birth to 15kg. I'm looking at it on the Smyths Toys website as interested in buying and it says from birth to 22kg. This is quite important in my decision making to keen to know which weight is correct?

Every country has different laws and requirements. When introduced to the market, the Litetrax line was, indeed, up to 15 kg - it may be that in your country, the brand did extra weight testing to be able to claim the load capacity of up to 22 kg. However, I must warn you that a 22 kg (a 5-6 years old) will be very, very tight in the seat that is not as long on this pushchair. Also good to know is that most up-to-15-kg strollers of an OK quality can actually handle more than that - the problem is more the room inside than the weight maximum.

This is your place to ask us a (quick) question about the Joie Litetrax 4 DLX

Joie litetrax 4 pushchair review – the affordable everyday travel companion.

In today’s fast-paced world, parents need a reliable and budget-friendly travel solution that doesn’t compromise on quality. Enter the Joie Litetrax 4 Pushchair – a versatile stroller designed to make your daily adventures with your little one a breeze. In this comprehensive review, we’ll take an in-depth look at the pros and cons of the Joie Litetrax 4, exploring what makes it a popular choice among parents and how it stacks up against the competition.

1. Easy Folding:

The Joie Litetrax 4’s one-handed quick fold is a game-changer for busy parents. With a simple pull, this stroller folds effortlessly, saving you precious time and effort when on the move.

2. Compact and Lightweight:

Portability is key, especially when you’re juggling multiple tasks. The Litetrax 4’s compact and lightweight design ensures that it’s easy to maneuver through tight spaces and transport in your car without breaking a sweat.

3. Extended Sunshade:

We all know the importance of shielding our little ones from the sun’s harsh rays. The Litetrax 4 boasts an XXL expandable hood that offers excellent coverage, protecting your child from wind and sun exposure.

4. Large Basket:

Parents often find themselves in need of extra storage space, and the Litetrax 4 delivers. Its spacious shopping basket provides ample room for your essentials, making grocery runs or day trips a breeze.

5. Comfortable:

Your child’s comfort is paramount, and the Litetrax 4 doesn’t disappoint. The stroller features a 4-position recline, ensuring your baby can nap or sit up comfortably while you’re out and about.

6. Good Value for Money:

At a price point of around £200, the Litetrax 4 offers exceptional value for money. You get a feature-rich stroller without breaking the bank, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious parents.

7. Maneuverability:

Pushing and steering the Litetrax 4 is a dream. Its light and nimble design allow for easy navigation through crowded streets or narrow store aisles. This stroller handles like a champ, even with one hand.

8. Sturdy Build:

While it may not be a designer stroller, the Litetrax 4 is built to last. Its sturdy construction ensures durability, so you can trust it to withstand daily wear and tear.

9. Parent Tray:

The convenience of the Litetrax 4 extends to parents too. It comes with a parent tray, complete with storage and cupholders. No more fumbling for your essentials when you’re on the go.

10. Suitable for Everyday Use:

The Litetrax 4 is designed with your daily routine in mind. It’s a reliable companion for school runs, trips to the shops, or leisurely strolls in the park. It adapts to your needs effortlessly.

1. Forward-Facing Only:

One limitation of the Litetrax 4 is that it’s forward-facing only. While this isn’t a deal-breaker for many parents, those who prefer the flexibility of a reversible seat might find it lacking.

2. Belt Length:

Some users have reported that the belts on the Litetrax 4 can be a tad short, potentially causing inconvenience during harnessing.

3. Noisy Wheels:

The wheels, while excellent for everyday use, can be a bit noisy on uneven surfaces. This might not be an issue for everyone, but it’s worth noting.

4. Limited Off-Road Capability:

If you’re planning to take your stroller off-road, you might find the Litetrax 4 less capable. It’s better suited for city streets than rugged terrain.

5. Wind Exposure:

While the extendable sunshade is a standout feature, strong winds can sometimes make it less effective. Parents in particularly windy areas may want to consider this factor.

6. Rain Cover Size:

The included rain cover, while easy to use, may not be large enough to cover the stroller completely in heavy rain, leaving some parts exposed.

7. Incompatible Accessories:

The Litetrax 4’s compatibility with additional accessories is somewhat limited compared to other models. Some parents may desire more customization options.

8. No Adjustable Handlebar:

The Litetrax 4 features a fixed handlebar height, which may not be ideal for parents of varying heights.

9. Lack of Ventilation:

Ventilation could be improved in the stroller’s design, especially during hot summer months.

How the Joie Litetrax 4 Compares to Competitor Products:

Joie litetrax 4 vs. joie mytrax:.

Both the Litetrax 4 and Mytrax are excellent choices, but they cater to slightly different needs. The Mytrax offers rear-facing capability, making it more versatile for parents who want to maintain visual contact with their child. On the other hand, the Litetrax 4 boasts a more budget-friendly price point and a convenient one-handed fold. Your choice may come down to your preference for rear-facing or your budget.

Joie Litetrax 4 vs. Other Budget-Friendly Strollers:

Compared to other budget-friendly strollers, the Litetrax 4 stands out with its combination of features, maneuverability, and value for money. While some competitors may offer similar price points, the Litetrax 4’s sturdy build and ease of use set it apart.

Q1: Is the Joie Litetrax 4 suitable for newborns?

  • Yes, the Litetrax 4 is suitable from birth when used in the fully reclined seat position.

Q2: Can I attach an infant car seat to the Litetrax 4?

  • Yes, you can use Joie Gemm and Joie i-Gemm infant seats without the need for additional adapters.

Q3: How does the Litetrax 4 handle rough terrain?

  • While it performs well on most surfaces, it’s better suited for city streets than off-road adventures.

Q4: Is the stroller easy to fold and transport?

  • Absolutely! The Litetrax 4’s one-handed quick fold and lightweight design make it incredibly convenient for parents on the go.

Q5: Can I adjust the handlebar height?

  • Unfortunately, the Litetrax 4 features a fixed handlebar height, which may not accommodate parents of varying heights comfortably.

In conclusion, the Joie Litetrax 4 Pushchair offers an excellent balance of affordability and functionality. While it may have some limitations, it shines in its ease of use, comfort, and value for money. If you’re in search of an everyday travel companion that won’t break the bank, the Litetrax 4 is a strong contender.

So, all these videos and people talking about the Joie Litetrax 4 stroller make it easier for parents to know if they want to get it or not.

The Joie Litetrax 4 stroller is like a good friend for parents. It’s easy to fold up, not too big, and has a big shade to keep the sun away. You can put lots of stuff in the basket, and kids like sitting in it. But, it’s only for looking forward, and the seatbelt isn’t very long. Sometimes, the wheels make a little noise. But don’t worry, it’s still a great stroller for most parents. And there’s another stroller, Joie Mytrax, which is kind of like it.

Picking the right stroller is like picking the right toy. It depends on what parents need. Joie Litetrax 4 is good for lots of parents, and these videos and people talking about it help parents know if it’s the right one. So, when parents go on adventures with their kids, they can use Joie Litetrax 4 to make it easy and comfy.
