Speaking in anticipation of the tour, Paul Kelly voiced how much he and his fellow performers are looking forward to taking the stage. “The last two years have brought home how precious live music is. To us and to those who come. We need each other. We’re going to bring it, give our all and play each show as if it’s our last. Because you never know what’s around the corner” Kelly said.

Touring through largely regional communities across the country, Red Hot Summer Tour will play a spread of shows in towns like Bendigo, Victor Harbor, Wodonga, Launceston and Toowomba just to name a few.

Tour promoter Duane McDonald said the team “can’t wait to hit the road again in 2023”. “We are so excited about this line-up and the regions we will be visiting,” he said. “The amount of hits produced by these artists is incredible.”

“The tour has always been about taking great music to the regions and supporting phenomenal Australian artists. We are so grateful to be able to continue to do this, and to share these experiences with all the music fans who continue to turn out year after year” he said.

The tour kicks off its first leg on Saturday 14 January 2023 at Mornington Racecourse in Victoria, with tickets going on pre-sale at 10.00am AEST on Tuesday 30 August 2022 and general sale at 9am AEST on Thursday 1 September 2022 via Ticketmaster.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR returns in 2023 with a phenomenal line-up bringing together some of the most iconic names in Australian music. The tour features Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning, Missy Higgins, Mark Seymour, Vika & Linda and Ian Moss & Troy Cassar-Daley and will visit Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland.

Tour promoter Duane McDonald can’t wait to hit the road in 2023. “We are so excited about this line-up and the regions we will be visiting,” he says. “The amount of hits produced by these artists is incredible. The tour has always been about taking great music to the regions, and supporting phenomenal Australian artists. We are so grateful to be able to continue to do this, and to share these experiences with all the music fans who continue to turn out year after year. We look forward to seeing everyone this summer.”

Paul Kelly has been writing songs, making records and touring for over forty years. Along the way he has released over 40 albums, including live concerts, compilations and soundtracks. He has collaborated with many other artists, notably writing Treaty with Yothu Yindi and co-producing Archie Roach’s landmark debut album Charcoal Lane . His awards, too numerous to mention, include 17 ARIAs and an Order of Australia. He has published several books, including collections of his lyrics, a memoir How To Make Gravy and an anthology of his favourite poems Love Is Strong As Death . Paul’s songs have a way of digging into the country in a way that few artists do – how it looks, feels, tastes, sounds. The joys and sorrows, achievements and follies. If you want to know something about Australia, how it feels to be Australian, you can find it in his songs. His live shows in recent years reveal a performer and band at the peak of their powers. They bring all the shades and colours. Passionate, dramatic, tender and emotional. For the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR run he will be playing a generous selection from his ever-green, ever-selling greatest hits record Songs From The South, as well as delving into a range of songs from his vast catalogue.

We’re really looking forward to these shows. The last two years have brought home how precious live music is. To us and to those who come. We need each other. We’re going to bring it, give our all and play each show as if it’s our last. Because you never know what’s around the corner. – Paul Kelly.

Bernard Fanning has accumulated one of the most celebrated songbooks on the Australian rock spectrum. The former Powderfinger frontman has collectively released 11 studio albums producing songs that have become ingrained in the Australian psyche. Tracks like  My Happiness ,  These Days ,  Sunsets ,  Burn Your Name ,  Wish You Well,   Songbird ,  Blue Toowong Skies  and  Belly Of The Beast  have become the moving soundtrack for a generation, with Bernard’s emotive and distinctive voice completely capturing our hearts. He has a trophy cabinet that holds seven number #1 albums, 23 ARIA Awards, and five APRA Awards to name a few… his songs have appeared in triple j’s Hottest 100 an incredible 23 times including three #1 spots for  These Days  (1999),  My Happiness  (2000) and  Wish You Well  (2005). It’s fair to say Bernard Fanning has firmly cemented his position as one of Australia’s finest singer-songwriters and lyricists. With over 20 years of touring, expect a rock show with swagger, entertaining banter, crowd interaction and a display of pure musical talent by a member of Australian rock royalty and his band who are the perfect accompaniment to his wide-ranging set list of heartfelt country – folk tinged charm and classic rock grooves.

I can’t wait to get back on the road to do some ‘proper’ touring after almost three years of dribs and drabs and disruption. A lot of the towns on this run I have NEVER played before in 30 years of touring, so I can’t wait to get out there and play stuff from right across my career. – Bernard Fanning.

Missy Higgins is one of our most beloved singer/songwriters and her acclaimed studio albums,  The Sound of White ,  On a Clear Night ,  The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle,   Oz  and  Solastalgia  have sold more than two million copies. Classic songs like Scar , The Special Two , Steer , Everyone’s Waiting and Futon Couch , plus her unforgettable live shows, have made Missy an authentic household name. She has won nine ARIA awards and multiple APRA Awards. Missy also received a Screen Music Award for Best Original Song composed for the Screen for Australian Film Don’t Tell .  Earlier in 2022, Missy released mini-album Total Control featuring songs inspired initially by the musical fragments she wrote for the powerful ABC TV Series of the same name. The songs pick up themes of exploitation and female empowerment that run through Total Control and which also dominated real world headlines last year as a string of abuse allegations emerged from Parliament House. The stories Missy shares through songwriting come to life on stage as enjoyed by the thousands of fans who attend her concerts.

Mark Seymour formed Hunters and Collectors in 1980 with a bunch of Uni friends. The band become famous for its rhythmic power and very quickly became touted as the ‘next big thing’. The album Human Frailty has proven to be one of the most important and enduring record of the 80s. With Human Frailty, Mark discovered love, loss, and pop melody – his solo records are directly connected to this era and bear the same stamp of raw honesty and emotional power. He continues to search for the emotional truth in a song. As well as 13 Hunters and Collectors albums, Mark has released eight further albums. Mark Seymour is one of our finest songwriters, capturing our stories of love, loss, human courage and achievement.

Vika & Linda’s effortless harmonies and journey through rock, country, gospel, reggae, R&B, soul and blues, while always paying tribute to their rich Tongan heritage, has earned the respect and admiration of their greatest fans – the renowned Australian artists they’ve performed and recorded with, and whose work their voices have enhanced.  Paul Kelly says “Their voices combined sound salty-sweet and have that elusive twinned quality you only get when siblings sing together …  They make the air beat in sync.”   In September 2021, Vika & Linda released The Wait , their first original studio album since 2002. It debuted at #2 on the ARIA chart. The Wait has continued a triumphant period for Vika & Linda which saw them score their first number one album with their career anthology, ‘Akilotoa , and three months later a #2 debut for their gospel collection, Sunday (The Gospel According To Iso) .

Ian Moss  and  Troy Cassar-Daley , two powerhouse artists, joined forces in 2022 for one of the year’s most successful tours. A truly remarkable partnership, with simplicity proving to be a powerful vessel to tell a story and share a song, will continue into 2023 via the RED HOT SUMMER. Ian Moss , a founding member of one of Australia’s greatest bands, Cold Chisel, is respected globally as one of our most iconic musicians. A multi-award winner, Mossy, who delivers a unique sound – not only as a telling soloist on guitar but also with his silken voice ringing with clarity and resonating with pure soul – was described by Cold Chisel bandmate Don Walker as  “the most gifted musician I’ve ever seen.”  Enough said. Troy Cassar-Daley , a proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man, comes from a long line of storytellers and is regarded as one of Australia’s finest songwriters. On his way to collect every accolade possible including ARIA’s, APRA’s, Golden Guitars (the most in the awards history), Deadlys, National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) and more, he has written with Paul Kelly, penned the anthemic Shutting Down Our Town for Jimmy Barnes, and recently Briggs sampled Troy’s harrowing and impactful story of Shadows On the Hill . No matter what story Troy is telling via song you just need to listen.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR always sells out around the country and the 2023 line-up is highly anticipated. Don’t miss this massive 2023 celebration of Australian music.

The regional Red Hot Summer tour has been extended for its 2023 program, with the full itinerary – featuring line-ups topped by Paul Kelly , ex- Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning and Missy Higgins – now comprising 25 dates.

Promoters announced the new run of shows yesterday (September 18), adding one-off dates in Western Australia (a gig at the Sandalford winery in the Swan Valley, scheduled for Saturday March 18) and the Northern Territory (at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday May 6), as well as two new dates in Queensland and one in NSW.

The tour will kick off on Saturday January 14 and Sunday 15 in the idyllic Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, with a further four shows in the state spread out across the itinerary. Punters in QLD will also have six opportunities to catch the tour, while those in NSW will have five, South Australians will have four, and Tasmanians will have two.

Tickets for the five new shows will go on sale at 9am local time this Thursday (September 22), with a Ticketmaster pre-sale kicking off at 10am tomorrow (September 20). Find more details on that, and tickets for the other 20 shows, here .

Rounding out the line-up for all but one show – in the QLD town of Southport – will be a joint performance from Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley , plus sets from Mark Seymour (of Hunters & Collectors fame) and Vika & Linda . For that Southport show, Moss will perform solo.

In a press statement, Red Hot Summer’s promotor, Duane McDonald, said: “We are so excited about this line-up and the regions we will be visiting. The amount of hits produced by these artists is incredible. The tour has always been about taking great music to the regions, and supporting phenomenal Australian artists.

“We are so grateful to be able to continue to do this, and to share these experiences with all the music fans who continue to turn out year after year. We look forward to seeing everyone this summer.”

McDonald’s excitement was echoed by many of the artists appearing. In his own statement, Kelly noted that “the last two years have brought home how precious live music is to us and to those who come”, and that he and his band are “going to bring it, give our all and play each show as if it’s our last, because you never know what’s around the corner”.

Fanning also riffed on how keen he is to hit the road again, particularly since he’ll be visiting some areas of Australia for the first time ever. He said: “I can’t wait to get back on the road to do some ‘proper’ touring after almost three years of dribs and drabs and disruption. A lot of the towns on this run I have NEVER played before in 30 years of touring, so I can’t wait to get out there and play stuff from right across my career.”

Higgins, too, noted that “it will be so good to get back on the road and play in so many incredible parts of the country”. She continued: “The past few years have shown us that we can’t take anything for granted and being able to tour again will be very special, it’s what I love to do most. I’m also really looking forward to sharing the stage with such incredible Aussie artists.”

Lastly, Seymour declared the Red Hot Summer tour to be “one of the biggest tours on our national music calendar”, gushing about how the run “does what few other festivals can” and “goes to where people live, which is pretty much everywhere”. He continued: “Reaching people matters deeply to me so I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of this fabulous bill in 2023.”

Red Hot Summer Tour Gateway Lakes Wodonga Victoria April 1st, 2023

featuring: Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning and Missy Higgins, Mark Seymour, Vika & Linda, Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley

Attending a Red-Hot Summer Tour is like witnessing the perfect storm without the rain. Combine an incredible line-up, a great venue, and a schedule that runs like clockwork. Add in near-perfect weather; seriously, what else could a person want? On Saturday, the crowd flocked to the Gateway Lakes in Wodonga, Victoria, selling out the show weeks before. Listening to the crowd on the way in this is the staple music diet of many, often buying tickets months in advance, and there is little wonder why. This is one of the country’s best venues to see a live act. Unlike many other venues, the venue has easy driving and parking access without the headache of waiting hours to get out. The mood throughout the day was one of ease and calmness. Children were welcome, with many getting an early education into some of the country’s best music and artists.

Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley started the line-up. Both artists spent much of 2022 playing an acoustic set around the country. Getting an opportunity to change acoustic for electric guitars or put “more petrol in the tank”, as Troy Cassar-Daley aptly put it, and just like that, the crowd got precisely that.

Opening with Moss’s first guitar-winning collaborative “South,” each artist traded lead vocals as they sang hit after hit. “Telephone Booth’ from Matchbook always works and draws more people to the stage. Cassar-Daley talked about home and family, referring to everyone in attendance as a new member. The haunting “Shadows On The Hill” was preceded by the story of not being allowed to go to a place close to home as a child due to the massacre of Aboriginal people there. Cassar-Daley, a proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man, brings the country and people to all corners; Ian Moss needs no introduction to anyone who has listened to music in this country for over 45 years. “Tuckers Daughter” and together with Cassar-Daley’s “Born to Survive were other memorable highlights from the set. Cassar-Daley, towards the end of the set, took the time to say, “Ian Moss was the reason he picked up a guitar”. That is the ultimate compliment.

Mark Seymour & The Undertow were next on the bill. Seymour hit the stage claiming he had a “football” voice referring to a strain he incurred while barracking for his AFL team. The lead singer of Hunters and Collectors, one of Australia’s best bands, was joined on stage by his daughter Eva providing backing vocals. Taking the audience through an eclectic set of songs from the 80s right up to the most recent album. Seymour described the same as twelve country stories on one album, of which “Slow Dawn” was one of them. The undertow comprising Cameron McKenzie on guitar, Peter Maslen on drums and John Favaro on bass provided excellent accompaniment to Seymour whilst he rattled off Aussie pub classics one after the other. With “Holy Grail” and “Throw Your Arms Around Me” on the list, what more could you ask for? Seymour seemed to enjoy the set, with smiles all around. As for “The Dogs of Williamstown”, an Undertow recent well, it could be a footy anthem.

Sisters Vika and Linda Bull , dressed in hot pink, took the crowd along for an emotional ride highlighting two of the best vocal voices in the country. Opening with the Paul Kelly penned ‘What You Want’ The sisters shared harmonies throughout the set. ‘Since Your Gone’ from the 2021 album ‘The Wait’ was a treat. The backing band “The Bullets”, aptly named by Vika because they are “all guns”, complemented both powerful voices. ‘Raise your Hand’, written by Kasey Chambers, drew an emotional response from the swelling crowd down the front. Mark Seymour returned to the stage for ‘When Will You Fall For Me’ before finishing with the Nina Simone classic ‘Feeling Good.’

Missy Higgins arrived looking fabulous in a green velvet two-piece suit. At home on stage with her band, Higgins moved straight to the keyboards smiling excitedly to be playing to such an enthusiastic crowd. Opening with ‘Set Me On Fire from her album ‘The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle.’ Higgins moved quickly to ‘Ten Days’ featuring her on acoustic guitar. During the set, Higgins was candid about her personal life sighting her recent divorce and how to overcome the fear of all musician’s writer’s block. The later solution was simple, ‘write my way through it’, which seems easier said than done by most. ‘Watering Hole’ was a hit with the crowd, especially the kids, as it allowed them to release energy through screaming animal noises. Higgins confessed the song was written about “animals scratching around her head- a time when she couldn’t sleep”. The hits flowed with ‘The Special Two’, Scar’, and finally ‘Steer’, which bought about a fantastic ending.

Bernard Fanning hit the stage smiling at a packed house. In the twelve years since leaving the Australian rock band Powderfinger the former front man, has been anything but idle instead, he has been carving out a solo career producing four stellar albums as well as collaborating with some of the country’s best artists.

Opening with ‘Hope and Validation’ from the 2005 solo album Tea & Sympathy, Fanning gave the audience a taste of why he remains one of Australian music’s greatest front man. Fanning requested assistance from the packed house, “For those sitting down, we’d like your participation”, before breaking into a killer version of Steve Miller’s ‘Fly like an Eagle’ acknowledging the music icon’s 79th birthday.

As the sun set, the lights focused on Fanning on keys playing the Powderfinger anthem ‘These Days’. The backing vocals by band members were a highlight.

At 68 years of age, Paul Kelly shows no signs of slowing down. When he is not collaborating with some of Australians top musicians, he is headlining significant festivals throughout the country. Saturday night was no exception, as Kelly played the almost perfect setlist.

Opening with the classic ‘Leaps and Bounds’ from the 1986 double album ‘Gossip’, Kelly took the packed house on a journey of Australian history through song and voice. ‘Every day my Mothers Voice’, a song written by Kelly for the Adam Goodes documentary “The Final Quarter”, highlighted the vocals of indigenous vocalist Jess Hitchcock. Kelly has that unique ability through music to educate and bring to the forefront some of Australia’s most essential issues reaching across the barrier to both old and new. ‘Forty Miles to Saturday’ night worked a treat. Watching Kelly and his nephew Dan Kelly together, reaching back into the catalogue to sing ‘From St Kilda to Kings Cross’.

Looking out to the audience, Kelly was attracted to a young fan holding a sign. When given the card, Kelly was taken aback by its contents. “Dear Paul Kelly, I am excited to watch you sing; you are my favourite singer. I am 7 years old; I love to sing and dance and have fun on stage, from Lucy”. “That’s what keeps us going,” an emotional Kelly said.

The show was kept to a first-name basis; after introducing each band member by first name, Kelly introduced his best-known song by naming each character personally. “This song is about Dan, Joe, Stella, Angus, Frank, Dolly, Rita, Mary and Roger” before breaking into ‘How to make gravy’. Closing out with ‘From Little Things, Big Things Grow’ complete with Digeredoo before finishing with Darling it Hurts completed an actual day of highlights of Australian music.

Walking out of this venue, I can’t help but again highlight the positives. To the security personnel that allowed kids to sit and watch these great artists share their craft, kudos to you.

The Red Hot Summer Tour

rhst 2022ub

HUNTERS & COLLECTORS, JAMES REYNE, THE LIVING END, THE ANGELS, BABY ANIMALS, KILLING HEIDI & BOOM CRASH OPERA

Tickets go on sale from 10am local time thursday 14 th  october 2021.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is back in 2022 to sort  Unfinished Business  with the return of its 10 th  anniversary line-up headlined by ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Hunters & Collectors, with special guests James Reyne, The Living End, The Angels, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera. With dates from February to May 2022, the tour will visit New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

Organisers are excited to announce the 2022 tour, something they have been working on solidly for the past 18-months. “We are thrilled to be able to return to the stage in 2022 with this magnificent line-up and revisit many of the shows that were lost to COVID,” says promoter Duane McDonald. “We continue to be blown away by the support we have received from audiences. To everyone who has and continues to support us and the live music industry, you are the reason we do what we do and keep creating these memories. We can’t wait to see you in 2022.”

Returning to the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR stage in 2022 ,  Hunters & Collectors  performances are a rare thing indeed and a huge coup for music fans. The legendary band disbanded over two decades ago and have only performed again a handful of times since – notably at The Sound Relief Concert in 2009 and a brief run five years ago. Banding together again specifically for the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is apt, considering that Hunters & Collectors voracious live performances are so well suited in a festival environment. With smash hit songs such as  When The River Runs Dry, Say Goodbye, Do You See What I See, True Tears Of Joy, Holy Grail  and the anthemic  Throw Your Arms Around Me , Hunters & Collectors have sold over one million albums spawning 19 hit singles.

James Reyne  has been treading the boards in the rock halls of Australian music for decades. From his time fronting the legendary Australian Crawl through to his successful solo career, James’ music is part of Australian history. As a prolific songwriter and strong vocalist, it’s no surprise that James has won accolade after accolade for his contribution to music. When Australian Crawl split in the mid-1980s, James embarked on a successful solo career. James Reye stands alone within an elite cluster of exclusive Australian performers.

The Living End  are considered Australian rock royalty, and for good reason. Their blistering live performances have seen them perform far and wide, and their reputation precedes them, they rock from the first note to the last. When The Living End first smashed onto the scene in 1997 with their double-A single  Prisoner of Society  and  Second Solution , they embraced a new Australian sound and fans and critics sat up and listened. Since then they have released seven studio albums, two of which have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart – four of those are Platinum and two are Gold. They have been nominated for an incredible 27 ARIA Awards.

When it comes to great Aussie rock, it doesn’t come much better than  The Angels . It’s been over four decades since brothers Rick and John Brewster co-founded the iconic band and have penned some of Australia’s most anthemic tracks. The Angels are widely reputed for their killer live shows. With hits like  Long Line, Marseille, Be With You, After the Rain, Shadow Boxer  and  Mr Damage  to name a few. Audiences have always loved seeing The Angels on the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR and 2022 promises to really rock!

Baby Animals  burst onto the Australian scene in the 1990s with a solid rock force and a sassy lead singer. Suze DeMarchi proved that girls could rock just as hard as guys and the Baby Animals soon kicked some impressive rock butt with hits such as  Rush You, Early Warning  and  One Word . The band scored themselves ARIA awards for best album and toured the globe. When they split in the mid-1990s they ended a special era of Australian music. The band’s recent reformation and inclusion again on the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR line-up is an opportunity for music fans to see their original rock at its best.

Killing Heidi  celebrated an auspicious anniversary in 2020, two decades since the release of their rock-pop debut  Reflector . The smash hit singles – including  Weir  and  Mascara  – embedded the album in Australian music history, took out four ARIA awards and reached four times platinum status. It also catapulted Killing Heidi and its teen musicians – Ella and Jesse Hooper – into international superstar status. The Hooper siblings were revered for their songwriting prowess and their subsequent albums earned them critical acclaim.

In 2020,  Boom Crash Opera  celebrated the 30 th  anniversary of their ARIA Top 10 album  These Are Crazy Times,  which spawned smash singles such as  Onion Skin, The Best Thing, Talk About It, Get Out Of The House  and  Dancing In The Storm . Audiences at the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR will be treated to all the hits, with Dale Ryder at the helm, including  Hands Up In The Air, Her Charity, Love Me To Death  and  Great Wall  to name a few. Boom Crash Opera certainly make any festival a party and the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR in 2022 will be unforgettable.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is always a sell-out and bringing this massive line up back to the stage in 2022 will see tickets go fast! With some of these shows rescheduled from 2020, there are only limited tickets available. Don’t miss these very special shows.

Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday 14 th  October 2021 via Ticketmaster. Tickets are only available through authorised ticket outlets listed. Patrons are advised not to purchase tickets from Viagogo or other Third Party Sellers, as fraudulent tickets will not be honoured.

The Red Hot Summer Tour returns in 2023 with an iconic all-Australian line-up

Mark seymour, vika & linda, and ian moss & troy cassar-daley, tickets go on sale 9am aest thursday 1 st  september 2022 via ticketmaster.

It will be so good to get back on the road and play in so many incredible parts of the country. The past few years have shown us that we can’t take anything for granted and being able to tour again will be very special, it’s what I love to do most. I’m also really looking forward to sharing the stage with such incredible Aussie artists. –  Missy Higgins.

The Red Hot Summer has grown into one of the biggest tours on our national music calendar. It does what few other festivals can. It goes to where people live which is pretty much everywhere. Reaching people matters deeply to me so I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of this fabulous bill in 2023.  –  Mark Seymour .

Tickets for the 2023 RED HOT SUMMER TOUR go on sale via Ticketmaster at 9am AEST on Thursday 1 st  September 2022.  Tickets are only available through authorised ticket outlets listed. RED HOT SUMMER TOUR (Series Two) Line-Up Unveiled

Ticketmaster pre-sale: tuesday 1st august at 10am (local time).

RED HOT SUMMER   TOUR  is thrilled to announce its next series of dates for the 2024 season from one of Australia’s most sought-after summer festivals.  These iconic outdoor shows will take place centre stage in Mornington, Yarra Valley, Bribie Island & Perth, and for series two, this mega-line-up will be co-headlined by SIMPLE MINDS  and ICEHOUSE .

It’s been over 40 years since Scottish superstars, SIMPLE MINDS, toured Australia for the first time in 1981 when they were invited by their good friends, ICEHOUSE. History repeats itself as they come together on stage all these decades later.  Says Jim Kerr, “ we had the best time during that six-week period, and we’re ecstatic to be able to come back and to do it all over again with our mates, Icehouse!  We love everything about this band and Australia. We are always welcomed with open arms and have such a special bond with our Aussie fans.  We can’t wait to get back there and play in some of the best outdoor locations in your beautiful country.”

Iva Davies  went on to say “back in 1981, on ICEHOUSE’s first journey overseas, we were introduced to Simple Minds and their great stage presence when we went on the same tour supporting them around the UK.  It was an exciting time and we all got on so well that we asked Simple Minds to support us when we returned to Australia.  They did and Australians became one of the most welcoming audiences in the world for them.  I’m really looking forward to our co-headlining tour next year – it will be an opportunity to relive some memories and thrilling to see how far we’ve all come since those first shows.”

With a career spanning over 45 years, ICEHOUSE is one of Australia’s most iconic bands, transcending age groups with their hit songs, well known and loved by audiences across generations, playing to sell-out, capacity audiences in Australia, New Zealand and throughout the world.  Formed by Iva Davies, the band’s frontman and musical creative force, ICEHOUSE went on to have an amazing 28 Platinum albums, eight Top 10 albums and over thirty Top 40 singles.

ICEHOUSE’s unofficial Australian anthem, Great Southern Land, has been a part of almost every Australian’s summer soundtrack for the past 40 years and in 2014, it was inducted into the National Film and Sound Archive’s Sounds of Australia registry. It’s also been remixed a number of times, most notably Bill Laswell’s  The Great Southern Mix , clocking in at almost 16 minutes, and the  Byrralku Dhangudha remix  from 1994, which features Indigenous musicians playing and singing the chorus in their own language. Its message is as current and relevant today as it was when it first appeared.

In 2017, the band received another tribute when Qantas invited the public to vote for the names of the planes for their new fleet of Dreamliner 787-9s. Out of over 60,000 name suggestions submitted, Great Southern Land won the honour of the very first plane in the fleet being named after the iconic hit.  In the same year, ICEHOUSE also celebrated 40 years of live performance with a national Australian tour and several outdoor performances in New Zealand and has continued to perform selected concerts for sell-out audiences in both countries since then.

SIMPLE MINDS are one of the UK’s most successful bands that have achieved worldwide success. Having sold over 60 million albums, they have experienced a remarkable journey since releasing their debut album  Life In A Day  in 1979. Over the course of their stunning career, SIMPLE MINDS have sold out stadiums and arenas across the globe. Constantly evolving, the band’s rousing choruses and booming atmospherics made them one of the most iconic bands of the 80s. Their trademark sound has earned them massive hits – with songs such as  Promised You A Miracle, Glittering Prize, Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive and Kicking, Sanctify Yourself, Belfast Child  and  Let There Be Love  dominating the airwaves   globally .

A ustralia was the first country in the world, outside of the UK, to embrace SIMPLE MINDS, giving the band its first-ever hit single  Love Song  and first gold album ‘New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84)’. The love affair has continued ever since.

NOISEWORKS  provided the soundtrack to every big night in the 1980s, with rock anthems  No Lies, Take Me Back, Hot Chilli Woman, Touch , and countless others. Get ready to rock as the original members reform to honour the memory of their co-founder and guitarist, the late, great, Stuart ‘Chet’ Fraser. Jon Stevens, Steve Balbi, Kevin Nicol, and Justin Stanley will be joined by very special guest Jack Jones on guitar and vocals. With the release of their new 2022 album, along with all their legendary hits, Noiseworks will reignite a passion for rock n roll!

DARYL BRAITHWAITE  is an iconic Australian singer/songwriter and ARIA Hall Of Fame Inductee. As the frontman and vocalist for the 1970s band Sherbet, Braithwaite rode a wave of local and international success with songs such as  Howzat  and  Summer Love  propelling the band to superstar status.

Braithwaite went on to embark on a highly successful solo career which included a No. 1 ARIA Album Chart for his album Edge (1988), featuring the hit singles  As The Days Go By  and  One Summer . Braithwaite’s 1990 follow-up album Rise included the single  The Horses  which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and to this day remains an anthem for generations of Australians. In 2020, he joined a host of local and international artists to perform at Fire Fight Australia, Concert For National Bushfire Relief in front of an audience in excess of 70,000 at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.

In 1992, Tania Doko and James Roche formed  BACHELOR GIRL , and the duo became one of the most loved Australian acts of the 90s & early 2000s, enjoying Australian and international success in Asia, Scandinavia and the US (including signing with the legendary Clive Davis at Arista Records). Standing out with their exceptional song writing and Tania’s warm, powerful vocal, both PPCA and APRA have reported a massive achievement for the band – their hit single  Buses and Trains  was the most played Australian composition on Australian radio in its first year of release and during the last 25 years overall. In 1999,  Buses and Trains  also received the coveted APRA ‘Song of the Year’ award, while the critically acclaimed debut album ‘Waiting for the Day’ spawned five chart-topping, radio-friendly singles (including  Treat Me Good  and  Permission To Shine ), reached double platinum certification and an ARIA win to the duo for ‘Producer of the Year’.

After a brief hiatus to pursue their individual musical paths as writers and producers for outside artists in Sweden and the U.K, Tania and James reunited to release their socially conscious single  Speak , in 2018. With their hit-studded and dynamic live set, Bachelor Girl have secured impressive support slots, including international heavyweights Eurythmics and The Goo Goo Dolls. More recently, the band has special guested on widely popular festival gigs such as Day on the Green (with John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite et al.), the Red Hot Summer tour, and can also add Icehouse to the list of iconic acts they have toured with.
