A scary moment during the 5 Seconds Of Summer  concert on Sunday night not only led the band to end their show mid-performance, but also postpone an upcoming appearance. During their show in Houston, Texas, drummer Ashton Irwin suffered a health scare which was later diagnosed as heat exhaustion.

The band took to social media to share an update with fans following the incident. "Last night’s show ended early due to a medical incident during the show. Upon experiencing physical symptoms, Ashton was taken to a local hospital for the tests and medical review,” they wrote in an Instagram Story Monday.

"As a result, it was advised Ashton had experienced extreme heat exhaustion," the statement continued. "Thankfully and most importantly, he is feeling OK and recovering very well. We apologize to all the fans in attendance for the show being cut short."

The band went on to share that ticketholders would be updated via email "as soon as" they "have more information."

In a second Story, the band said that "following medical advice" they have canceled their Tuesday show in Arkansas, and have rescheduled it for July 26. "We are so sorry to cause inconvenience to your plans, but we promise for those of you who can still make it, we will put on the show of your lives," they wrote.

"In the meantime, please join us in giving Ash the privacy to rest up and get back to full fitness," the band concluded, signing the statement, "Lots of love, 5SOS."

It's no surprise that the group would do whatever is needed to ensure the health and safety of their bandmates. 5SOS has been going strong for over 10 years. In December, they celebrated a decade together by releasing a new song, "2011," dedicated to the year the group was formed.

"We wrote '2011' to celebrate 10 years of this band, 10 years of adventures through life, and most of all, 10 years of you, our fans," read the message. "We love you, and we can’t wait for the next 10."

While they've been making music together for over a decade, the Australian boy band changed their sound up a bit in 2018. ET caught up with Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Irwin at the time where they explained, "We wanted to set a tone for a new direction … a complete clean slate and start again. We needed to take that risk to move forward."

5 Seconds of Summer was 45 minutes into their Houston-area concert Sunday night when drummer Ashton Irwin had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to a statement from the band, Irwin, 27, experienced stroke-like symptoms brought on by heat exhaustion while playing in Texas.

“Last night’s show ended early due to a medical incident during the show. Upon experiencing physical symptoms, Ashton was taken to a local hospital for the tests and medical review,” they wrote in part via Instagram Stories on Monday.

“Thankfully and most importantly, [Ashton] is feeling OK and recovering very well. We apologize to all the fans in attendance for the show being cut short.”

A second update posted two hours later revealed that the band – also made up of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood – would be canceling their show in Arkansas Tuesday night per “medical advice.”

“The new date will be July 26th so Rogers, AR will officially be our last show of the North American TMH tour!” they explained. “We are so sorry to cause inconvenience to your plans, but we promise for those of you who can still make it, we will put on the show of your lives. ❤️”

They added, “In the meantime, please join us in giving Ash the privacy to rest up and get back to full fitness … lots of love, 5SOS.”

Irwin also took to social media on Monday to thank fans for their support and provide them with a health update. He also shared more details about what happened on stage.

“I suffered from an intense migraine brought on by exhaustion and overheating onstage which made me loose [sic] my vision and gave me symptoms of stroke in the left side of my body,” he explained in a series of tweets .

“It’s always amazing to play a massive energetic show in every environment thrown at us. Unfortunately this time my body gave out due to heat exhaustion. I was in tears in the ambulance, because I feel I’ve let many people down. I’m looking after myself and getting rest now.”

Irwin concluded his three-part statement by saying he feels “so loved” and “looked after” by his band “brothers,” team and fans.

“This is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Texas heat. All will be made right, ticketing wise, and rescheduling wise,” he wrote. “I love you. Thanks for the love. I’ll be back onstage ASAP! X.”

“Ghost Of You” followed and we listened Calum’s voice harmonize with Luke’s, shifting the air to one of nostalgia of knowing The 5SOS Show tour was starting to reach its finale. We then listened to some of the 5SOS5 songs like Calum’s lead singing “You Don’t Go To Parties”, Ash’s favourite “Me Myself and I” and “Best Friends”. After that, one of the fans favourite came, “Jet Black Heart” lead by Michael, and was followed by “She Looks So Perfect”, featuring the now recovered punk jump from 2012 at the end of the song.

“Outer Space” was the second to last song and “Youngblood” followed, making the crowd dance one last time. As the last note played, the boys said goodbye and the house lights turned back on, telling us the “best tour they had ever been on” had come to an end.

5SOS Say Goodbye for Now With ‘The 5 Seconds of Summer Show’ Documentary Concert Film

By Larisha Paul

Larisha Paul

Earlier this year, during each night on their tour, The 5 Seconds of Summer Show , 5SOS offered an earnest refrain to their audience. “Memories I hold to keep safe, and I live for that look on your face,” all four members sang into their mics during “Best Friends,” from their latest album 5SOS5 . The tour — complete with elaborate skits, copious amounts of confetti, and fan-favorite deep cuts — was a celebration not only of their 10th anniversary as a band, but also of the fanbase they’ve cultivated during that time.

Now, both the band and their fans can revel in the memory of their own personal eras tour with the newly released documentary -concert film The 5 Seconds of Summer Show . The hour-long release, available on YouTube, captures 5SOS’ Amsterdam concert in October paired with behind-the-scenes content capturing how the tour’s concept came together.

The film features the Australian band performing Saturday Night Live- level skits on stage from cosplaying as doctors delivering brutal news (“You’ve been diagnosed a 5SOS fan”) to an ad for 5Sauce, paired with giant condiment bottles when the crowed gets sauced.

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

“Doing this tour, and it being so well received, has even more ignited this new frame of mind for the band,” frontman Luke Hemmings added. “We can have these songs that maybe sound like this and feel more in touch with the younger songs we wrote, but also going forward into a next album and tour, personally not being afraid of having a bit more fun with it and really capturing what the spirit of the band is.”

At the end of each night, 5SOS closed out the show with a double encore of “Outer Space” from 2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good and “Youngblood” from 2018’s Youngblood . In Amsterdam, as they launched into the latter song, Hemmings cut to the heart with with a parting message: “Thank you, we’ll see you in a couple of years.”

5SOS released five studio albums over nearly ten years — plus three live albums — and have taken each around the world on tour. The years flew by, and now that the 5 Seconds of Summer Show is complete, Clifford (who recently welcomed his first child), Hemmings, drummer Ashton Irwin, and bassist Calum Hood have returned to living mode as fans await their shift back into album mode.

Like the other major career-spanning tours we’ve witnessed this summer, The 5 Seconds of Summer Show centered the unbreakable bond formed when fans grow up with their favorite artists as the soundtrack of their lives. “I think the fans have really responded to it because if you’ve been following the band for 10 years,” Hemmings said, “it’s like your whole youth.”

The US tour kicks off August 10 in Uncasville, Connecticut before hitting East Coast cities such as Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Bristow, Philadelphia, New York, and more. The run concludes with what will surely be an epic performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 14. From there, the band will travel to Europe and the UK. That leg of the global tour kicks off on September 23 in Lisbon, Portugal, and wraps up on October 12 in Prague, Czech Republic.

‘The Dude’: Quincy Jones At The Height Of His Powers

The band will also release a live album The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall digitally on April 14.

Tickets will be available for North American shows starting with a Citi presale on Tuesday, April 11. The general on sale begins Friday, April 14 at 10am Local Time.

Before they were a multi-platinum selling band with an international fanbase of millions, 5 Seconds of Summer was the angst-driven passion project of four teenage boys in Sydney, Australia.

Guitarists Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin had all been students of the pop punk genre prior to coming together in 2011 – they’d learned about ditching their hometown and the uncertainty of love from Mayday Parade; discovered the art of striking a balance between humor and depth from  Blink-182 , and Green Day gave them a crash course in rebellion. These influences – merged with each member’s own individual creativity – created the distinctive 5SOS sound.

5 Seconds of Summer’s propensity for staying in sync as the project of four musicians with distinct influences and skills is what has allowed them to consistently reconstruct their sound across their four albums. Learning from their work, rather than being anchored by it, Clifford, Hood, Hemmings, and Irwin are on pace for continued evolution.

5 Seconds of Summer Kick Off 2023 World Tour With Live Debuts

5 Seconds of Summer kicked off their 2023 world tour on July 19 at Estadio Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their trip around the globe will consist of 37 stops, with a final show on October 12 at the Fortuna Sports Hall in Prague, Czech Republic before heading over to Las Vegas, Nevada for the When We Were Young festival.

5SOS reportedly started things off at 9:05pm, playing for a total of two hours. The night consisted of a wide variety songs from the group's discography, including older tracks that haven't been heard in years and two live debuts.

Fans were hit with quite a shock when the band played "She's Kinda Hot," with many online claiming that they 'must be dreaming' and it's 'exactly what they needed in 2023.' The song hasn't made an appearance in a show since 2018. Another oldie but goodie songs that longtime '5SOS Fam' members were excited about include "Vapor," "Don't Stop," and "Why Won't You Love Me."

Like other popular artists such as Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy, 5 Seconds of Summer have decided to utilize the art of a 'surprise song,' opting to have a gigantic dice be thrown around the audience to decide which would be played!

That night, luck fans in the audience were treated to "Heartache on the Big Screen," which hasn't been played since 2016!

The live debuts came closer to the end of the show, but they were both definitely worth the wait. "You Don't Go To Parties" off of their fifth studio album, 5SOS5 that came out in 2022 was up first.

Then came "Best Friends" off of the same album, which got many in the audience emotional as they chanted the lyrics.

5 Seconds Of Summer Postpone ‘No Shame’ UK & EU Tour Dates Until 2021

7 May 2020, 18:16

5 Seconds Of Summer have added new tour dates

5 Seconds of Summer have rescheduled their UK & EU tour dates for next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

5 Seconds of Summer are the latest musicians to postpone their tour dates because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has prevented mass gatherings of people in order to slow down the spread of the virus.

The ‘Youngblood’ hitmakers were set to embark on their 'Calm' European tour this year, kicking off in May and ending in December 2020.

However, due to lockdown and social distancing measures being put in place, the Australian band have followed in the footsteps of many artists such as One Direction stars Harry Styles , Louis Tomlinson , Niall Horan , who have either rescheduled or cancelled their tour dates.

Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards , Jesy Nelson , Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have also had to cancel their summer 2020 UK tour because of the ongoing virus.

5SOS share hilarious behind the scenes video promoting CALM

5SOS announced the news on social media, releasing a statement on Twitter, which read: “To all our fans, firstly, we love you all and hope everyone reading this message is safe and healthy.

“Over the past two months we were due to travel so many countries and see so many of our fans promoting our new album ‘Calm’. It quickly became clear that the world was facing a challenge like never before and one nobody could ever imagine. Our promotional trips were cancelled and like most of the world, we have been isolating at home ever since.

“We have throughout this period witnessed one of the most amazing album campaigns in the most unusual of circumstances. For how distant we are from our fans in miles we have never felt more connected. To see the support that you’ve all givens made us really appreciate how lucky we are to have the best fans in the world. You make us want to make music and we’ve been so excited to know we would be playing shows for you all soon.”

UK & EU TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT pic.twitter.com/pirsAwQOgg — 5 Seconds of Summer (@5SOS) May 6, 2020

5sos continued with a lengthy appreciation to fans as well as health workers, who they praised as ‘heroic’, insisting that we need to all ‘work together’ to beat the virus.

They continued: “We are so grateful to anyone who purchased a ticket. Please hold on to them for the rescheduled headline dates in 2021. We are saddened not all headline shows were able to be rescheduled. Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, we are so sorry. We promise we will continue to work hard with our team to do everything we can to see you all as soon as possible and also any other cities and countries we were not able to play on this tour.”

5SOS Hope to 'Reach Higher Highs' with New Music as They Call Upcoming Album'' a 'Total Ascension'

5SOS5 , the band's fifth studio album is set for release on Sept. 23

5sos tour cancelled

The boys of 5 Seconds of Summer are gearing up for an epic summer!

Speaking to PEOPLE about their upcoming album 5SOS5 and summer tour, Luke Hemmings , Michael Clifford , Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood share that after a 10-year journey as a band, this project shows their relationship is "stronger than ever."

"It says that there's a lot of awareness into helping each other rise to the occasion of this being a very inclusive album. It says that this band is trying to achieve something that we as a band 10 years ago would only be dreaming of achieving," Hemmings, 25, tells PEOPLE.

He continued, "It shows a lot of hope for this band sticking around for as long as we can. Hopefully it shows that we're trying to just connect with people even after we've just finished touring the UK and Europe — and the kind of power that an art form can hold is something that we take very seriously. We put a lot of heart and soul into these in hopes that we connect with as many people as we can in a positive way."

For Irwin, 27, this album is a way of connecting with their fans through songwriting.

"This album is a total ownership, a total realization, a total ascension of what the group wants for themselves," he says. "We've taken a lot of these things into our own hands and it's been an incredible testing journey. The tests and the challenges have only provided positive outcomes internally. What we're really doing is attempting to allow our audience to know us better as songwriters. We're attempting to reach higher highs with our live shows, through creating the music that truly we think represents the best parts of us."

He adds, "So it's a total new beginning in many ways."

5SOS5 , which is set for release on Sept. 23 follows the band's 2020 album Calm and includes previously released singles "My, Myself & I," "Take My Hand" and "Complete Mess." Just before the album's release, the band will kick off their Take My Hand North American tour on June 11 in Vancouver and will cross major cities before concluding on June 24 in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

When asked how the band navigates their time on the road, Clifford, 26, says that after taking a few years off from touring, jumping back into it is indescribable — and there's "no real answer on how to do it right or wrong."

"It's interesting, because we've gotten so used to being at home for so long. Having that consistency and then all of a sudden that's ripped away from you. You're waking up on a bus underground every day for two months. It's so weird," he says.

Since their last tour, Hemmings is rumored to have wed Sierra Deaton while Clifford married Crystal Leigh , and though the band admits that bringing the wives along means their "posse gets bigger," they all enjoy it.

"I'll be honest about this. All right. I really love when I see the guys' partners on the road, it's really refreshing and because basically it just makes the band bigger and more interesting," Irwin says.

Clifford adds of their United Kingdom and European tour dates earlier this year, "Crystal and Sierra were out in Europe and it was interesting. Before Crystal had come out on tour, I was literally lying in bed from the second I'd get to a hotel until we'd leave again. Then when Crystal came out, I was like, 'Oh actually...'"

He continues, "It is way more interesting to travel with someone — not that we were ever traveling alone, because we're always together the four of us — but when it's just the four of us, I very much go back to: 'OK, we're here. We're touring and I need to rest.' But then when Crystal was out with us, I was like, 'OK, we can explore, we can go do stuff.' All of us went on this nice little boat in Amsterdam. We had a little band boat!"

Irwin jokingly adds, "We kind of do a retirees vacation."

Jennifer Lopez Cancels Multiple Dates on ‘This Is Me… Now’ Tour Amid Weak Ticket Sales

Jennifer Lopez Variety Cover Story

Jennifer Lopez  has canceled seven dates of her first North American tour in five years, in support of her new album “This Is Me… Now ” and its pair of companion films.

The dates spanning Aug. 20-31 in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston were listed as canceled on Ticketmaster at some point on Wednesday; the Cleveland and Houston dates apparently had been removed from the itinerary earlier, as they were part of the tour’s originally announced itinerary on Feb. 15 but are no longer present on the site at all. An u pdated itinerary can be found on her social media accounts.

The album, tour and two films are part of a self-financed $20 million three-part multimedia project examining, as Variety described in a recent cover article , “Lopez’s life as a serial romantic,” regarding her reunion with actor Ben Affleck, whom she married in 2022 nearly two decades after the high-profile superstar couple originally split in the wake of their flop 2003 romantic comedy “Gigli.”

A rep for the artist did not immediately respond to Variety ’s request for comment; the cancellation notice reads simply, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”

The cancellations come after Lopez’s new album — her first in a decade — also titled “This Is Me…Now,” debuted at a disappointing No. 38 on the Billboard 200 last month.

The project, which also includes the musical film, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” and a documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” is apparently intended as a love-conquers-all statement.

How WBIT teams are selected

The WBIT selection committee, made up of five former DI women's basketball coaches and three current/former Division I athletic administrators will choose the field.

First, second and quarterfinal games will be held at campus sites. Action then moves to Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the semifinals and championship.

HOW IT WORKS:  Tap here for a full explanation of the selection process

The top 16 teams, as selected by the committee, will host the first round games, provided they submit a bid and meet the minimum hosting requirements. Regular season champions of DI conferences not selected to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship secure automatic qualification into the WBIT. The first four teams out of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship — as determined by the Division I Women's Basketball Committee — receive automatic bids and will be the top four seeds in the WBIT.

Busta Rhymes cancels all 2024 Blockbusta tour dates a week before kickoff

5sos tour cancelled

Busta Rhymes was set to embark on a 24-date Blockbusta tour, but it has been cancelled based on updates on Ticketmaster.com .

Every concert, from the March 13 opener in San Francisco to the April 21 closing show in the rapper's hometown of Brooklyn, is listed as cancelled on the concert ticketing site.

USA TODAY has reached out to Rhymes' reps and Live Nation , which announced the tour in November 2023.

Previously, Rhymes had been on 50 Cent's The Final Lap tour , which ended in December. Before heading out on that tour, Rhymes detailed in Men's Health magazine how he had lost 100 pounds to improve his health after suffering what he described as "felt like I was having like an asthma attack – but I don’t have asthma."

Sea.Hear.Now festival: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Noah Kahan to headline

He lost more weight while touring with 50 Cent, Rhymes said in November 2023 while promoting the release of his "Blockbusta" album, Complex reported .

The multiplatinum rapper, songwriter and record producer – known for songs such as “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check" – had been honored at the BET Awards in June 2023 with a lifetime achievement award. Late last month, he performed at a joint The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Spotify event benefiting Musicians On Call (MOC) at newly opened venue The Atlantis in Washington DC.

Busta Rhymes' Blockbusta tour canceled. What should ticketholders do?

If you are holding tickets to Rhymes' tour, there should be an update coming from Ticketmaster about rescheduled dates or refunds.
