36 Websites to Find Merchant Navy Jobs Online

Merchant navy makes for an exciting career, absolutely different from the conventional. The number of marine career opportunities provided by the industry is massive. The best thing is the level of professionalism in the industry. Also, most shipping companies offer jobs irrespective of one’s race, national origin, marital status, gender identity, disability, religion or sexual orientation.

If you are a professional in the maritime field seeking a new merchant navy job, then you never know which country your next job will take you to.

Moreover, if you are a seafarer, you would continuously prowl, looking for better companies, salaries, and working conditions (Nothing wrong, a common practice). Those might also be the reasons to look for a new job in every field, but for a mariner, they contribute a little “extra” towards deciding on a new maritime job opportunity. (Ask a mariner, and you will know the answer!)

Across all levels and ranks, maritime professionals are always looking for a better opportunity, whether on ships or onshore. Though there are myriad ways available for job hunting, searching online is the quickest and easiest way to find your dream job. With the sudden rise in the popularity of online job hunting, several maritime job boards and career websites featuring job opportunities from various departments of the shipping industry have come up.

Online maritime and merchant navy jobs search has reached an all-new high with the creation of many quality websites highlighting many full-time and part-time employment opportunities. Recent maritime graduates can enrol in internship programs like the week apprenticeship program that trains cadets to become successful employees at drydocks, vessels, shipyards and other work areas.

Enrolling in academies allows one to get training plus reasonable accommodation. However, private ones might be pretty expensive. A fresh graduate usually begins with an entry-level position, and as he gives more exams to get licences and certification, he reaches a senior-level position in his career.

From all these companies displaying their advert for one to send their resume to, I noticed that none of the companies made provision for graduate training.
